Mail Froze upon start up and now wants to start fresh.

When I started up this morning my Mac mail froze up. Did a restart, ran permissions and now when I start Mac mail an alert comes up and asking me to "connect with one database" and I hit OK and it takes me to the "Welcome to Mail" window. Any suggestions how to connect back to my original email accounts? Could really use some help on this one.

Maybe u can try the following:
At the mail icon below, two fingers select the mail icon
Thereafter select show all windows.
Close all windows that are open
Try quitting your mail again
It works for me :)

You can connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, that should copy it over to the Movies part of your library.
Depending upon what country that you are in, and whether the film studio allows it, you might also be able to re-download it on your Mac via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page.

I took away my backup disk with me so just took it from there excellent. I am back home at present working on my imac. When I go to use my macbook air on these projects (when away on boat) is it easiest to simply copy the Project and Events folders in total from my imac onto the other machine and do the same upon my return in reverse? aha yes - Lion has changed you harddrive setup and added a "recover partition" Now it gets - not technical - but time consuming.
try:
insert your Snow Leopard installer DVD.
Reboot
Immediately After startup sound, hold down ALT.
You'll be presented with several options. Select your install DVD and continue.
If it doesn't fail:
Once the installer has started, go t the top menu and select "disc utility"
go to the "partition" screen and erase all partitions back to one single partition
return to the installer and install that older OS X version
give to buyer minus the price of a Lion upgrade
If it fails, go to step 1 and boot from your "recovery drive".
once the installer has sarted, go to the top menu and select "disk utility"
erase the drive partition that used to contain OSX Lion - this will remove your private data, all apps and OSX Lion.
Restart, hold own "eject" and remove the DVD, and shut down again.
You'll have to hand it over to the new buyer in this state. Tell him the machine will boot into the Lion installer but he'll have to create an App Store account to download and install OS X Lion. One again, give him a reduced price equal to the price of the Lion upgrade. Way I see it, no other options remain.

You are someone had to put a check in the box to encrypt your iPhone backup.
Warning: If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and then forget your password, you will not be able to restore from backup and your data will be unrecoverable. If you forget the password you can continue to do backups and use the device, however you will not be able to restore the encrypted backup to any device without the password. You do not need to enter the password for your backup each time you back up or sync.
If you cannot remember the password and want to start again, you will have to do a full software restore and when prompted by iTunes to select the backup to restore from, choose Set up as a new device.

1. Install PSE 11 in windows, upgrade your catalog, then make a full backup to a removable drive, like a usb drive, using the organizer's back up command. If you buy the boxed version you get discs for both platforms.
2. Install PSE on the mac.
3. Restore the backup to the mac. Point the restore to the .tly file in the folder, not the enclosing folder.

If you are using Address Book, open it, create a new Group, select all you contacts by click the top one while holding down the shift key and then select the last one. Drag the contacts to the group, then send an e-mail to the group.
