Mail gmail disapeared from my Bold (9000)

Hi,
I have a gmail account and some mails disappeared from my blackberry without erase them. The configuration is to keep the mails from the last 30 days. I'm BIS. Can you help me? Thank you

Yes, if your Outlook downloads messages AND then deletes the messages from your gmail server... that is also an answer.
See, more info usually helps.
IF you are using Outlook to download your email to your desktop PC, Outlook is likely "deleting" mail from your email server when it downloads it to your PC.
There is a setting in Outlook to "Leave Messages on Server".
For MS Outlook 2003:
1. Outlook > Tools > Email accounts > View or Change existing > next.
2. Highlight the email account > Change > More Settings.
3. Advanced Tab > Leave a Copy Messages on Server
4. Check that box.
* You will need to perform this edit for each Outlook email account you have.
Other versions of Outlook have a similar setting although it might located in a slightly different location in the :advanced settings.

Failed to transfer SMS and Memopad from Bold 9000 to Z10 by BBLink

I have just upgraded to Z10 from Bold 9000. I used BBLink (downloaded from BB site) to transfer data from old Bold 9000 to Z10.
The problem is all data were transfered sucessfully except 4500 SMS and 10 Memopad.
- SMS: no entried in text message view
- memopad: in the Remember app, I only found impoarted Tasks under Unfiled Entries, no memopad entries found.
I tried many times, tried to restart the Z10 but useless.
- Bold 9000: OS 5.x
- Z10: STL100-3, version 10.2.1.2102
Any help are appreciated because the SMS and memppad are very important data to me.

First OS X 10.9.4 is Mavericks not Lion.
I'm assuming you were using Mail to access your Gmail account. If you were using another email app, drag it's icon to the Dock.
Go to Applications folder in a Finder Window.
Drag Mail to the Dock.

I HAD two accounts because of this problem. I completely removed the problem account from the Apple Mail client. Guess what is happening?? That's right - Mail is still sending from the other account that no longer exists on my computer, and I have absolutely no idea how this is happening. This is incredibly frustrating. When a recipient chooses to reply to my message, quite often I won't get it now because it is going to the other account that has now been deleted from my system. COME ON APPLE!!! To delete a mail account in Mail, open Mail, and go to Mail menu > Preferences > Accounts. Then, select the account you want to remove and press the - button.
Then, press the + button to add the AOL mail account

Objective.
To develop a package solution which will work as a bridge between Oracle APS and SAP system so that customers using SAP will be able to use advantages of Oracle APS for their planning needs.

I can't turn on Mail in Settings. Earlier i tried to e-mail a document from the GoodReader app through my Gmail account. Apparently, my iPad2 didn't like that. Also, now when i click on Mail on the Home screen, the Mail screen shows no mailboxes.

iPad2. I tried to e-mail a document from the GoodReader app. It froze. Now, when i tap the Mail button on the Home screen, it goes to a blank mail page, with no mailboxes, whereas before it went straight to my Gmail account. I went in to the Settings section, tapped on Mail, Contacts, and then on Gmail. The Mail button is grayed to Off, and when i press it to turn it On, all i get is a message that says Turning on Mail, but nothing happens. Suggestions?

Start off by trying to reset the ipad. Press and hold the power and home buttons at the same time until the device powers down and you see the Apple logo.

Purchased a Bold 9900 but cannot transfer all data/files from my previos Bold 9000

Using Blackberry Desktop Software for PC, using the option of changing device, followed the software instructions and connected first the original device Bold 9000 and copied everything; this step went thru ok. Then disconnected the 9000 and connectec the 9900, copying process starts but stops suddenly indicating an error because of not having correct blackberry app software. I have not been able to move from here. Tried twice to repeat but ends up dame. Thanks for the help. I have a new phone that I have not been able to transfer any data from my previos one.

Dashboard or Dock ?
If Mail icon is missing from the Dock
Click on the Desktop to bring the Finder to the front.
On the Menubar click Go menu.
From the dropdown select Applications.
Locate Mail and double click on it.
When Mail opens locate Mail icon on the Dock.
Hold control key and click ont the mail icon.
Select " Keep in Dock".

After upgrade to DM 5.0/6.0 , the DM cannot upgrade Bold 9000 from 4.6 to 5.0

When I using DM 4.x, I can upgrade the BOLD 9000 from 4.6.x to 5.0.x
But after upgrade to DM 5.0/6.0, we have find the following problems
1. Only can regonize installed OS ver 4.6.X. when I select the upgrade device button,the system always prompt cannot find latest device software(the 5.0.X Bold 9000 Device software installed)
2. Sometimes can be regonize the OS ver 4.6.X and we can select upgrade OS button on DM, but the system always prompt not enough space, even wiped the device and deleted All installed software.

I suggest the following steps to completely start over cleanly (insert plenty of reboots of your PC...not just restarts, but full power down reboots). Also, it is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
1) Remove your device OS update package from your PC (add/remove programs)
2) Cleanly uninstall the RIM DTM software:
KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
3) Get a fresh download of the RIM DTM software:
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
Choose the version that is newest and (if applicable) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchornizing via USB):
KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager for synchronization
4) Download (to your PC) a fresh copy of your device OS package from your carrier:
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
5) Install DTM to your PC
6) Install (also to your PC), the device OS package
7) Start the organizer configuration over:

I have recently embarked on the atrocious adventure of migrating from Thunderbird to mutt.
So far however, msmtp has consistently refused to properly send mail. Using

If brisbin33's page comes back up, I highly recommend it. It has a ton of great information, and I configured mine based on that. My msmtprc file contains:
# gmail

host smtp.gmail.com

user [email protected]
password EMAILPASS

tls_nocertcheck
account default : gmail
So my suggestion is to try these tls* lines, and add the protocol lines. Other than that, I don't know much about it. brisbin33 uses these forums, so he may be able to help you directly

If OS X Mail gets msgs from gmail, then will deleting msgs on Mac also delete on gmail?

I have an e-mail account on gmail.
On my Mac, Mail 5.1 syncs to my gmail account, downloading messages to my local disc.
I want to free up space on my Mac by deleting local copies of gmail messages. However, I do not want those messages to be deleted from the gmail server. I want continued access to all my gmail messages by web browser.
Question: will messages deleted from my local disc also be deleted from gmail servers?

When you delete a message from a GMail account from within Mail, whether or not you empty the trash afterward, the message remains in the All Mail mailbox. Only when deleting from the GMail web interface does the message get deleted permanently... but that is not the topic of this discussion. Also, the behavior is not the same when deleting from an iPhone... but again, that is not the topic of this discussion. We are discussing deletion of e-mail from within Mail 5.1 on a Mac, and the behavior is as I described.
This was verified with testing back when I wrote the article I referred to above, and was just verified again now, just to make sure nothing has changed. But if you still don't want to take my word for it, perhaps you'll take Google's:

Gmail custom From address - Mail

This is a great feature for Gmail users that can hopefully be used in Mail.
Through the Gmail web portal you can select which 'From' address is displayed in that sent message. This needs to be setup prior to usage according to these instructions: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=22370
*Is there a way to setup custom 'From' addresses in the Mail.app?* More to the point: *Can Mail.app use my Gmail custom 'From' addresses?* Mail.app is using imap/smtp server protocols. Gmail requires that you provide verification for each address you add; addresses that you control.

Thanks for the response Ernie, here is a bit more info on what I'm hoping to do (or as you suggested questions/thoughts for finding a workable alternative).
Through Gmail (via browser) i'm able to select which address the recipient will see when they receive my message. This is done in the Compose Message phase. I currently have two email addresses that i'm using; my university account and personal (gmail) account. For correspondence through school I would like to reply via my university address. Fortunately using Gmail (via browser) this has consolidated both emails to one place where I can receive and send from both addresses.
I was hoping to use my IMAP/STMP connection so that all my emails, calendar entries and contacts are located on Google's services. Having everything on my Google account allows me to send & view emails, calendar, and contacts from my phone, computer or campus computer.
As you explained Gmail maintains Authentication through SMTP. I guess what I should be asking is how to add (if possible) outgoing mail servers to Mail. I may be confused on exactly what Gmail is doing when sending my various custom 'From' emails but I believe they are just manipulated so that messages are received from the selected 'From' account. Unfortunately, if I don't use my Gmail STMP those sent messages aren't saved in Gmail.
When using my MacBook though I wanted to have this functionality through Mail.app so that I wouldn't have to use the browser.
*If you have some suggestions for alternatives I would be interested in checking them out.* I do have a ISP email account, but I foresee a bit of a mess; as stated using Google has allowed me to unify all my communications and access them easily, instead of having various accounts to constantly check and update.

How to remove gmail-account from Mail

Now that my MobileMe-mail is up and running, and the mails to my gmail-account are forwarded to MM, I want to remove the gmail-account from the sidebar in Mail. However, when I right click theaccount I want to remove and click "delete mailbox" nothing happens, and the gmail-account still appears in the sidebar.
Does anyone know what I should do to delete it?

In Mail, select the File -> Preferences menu. Click on Accounts in the toolbar. Select your gmail account on the list on the left and press the Advanced tab. Uncheck the Enable This Account box. That should do it.

Learning about Bold 9000 and Mac Power Book

I bought a BB Bold 9000 in Panama with instructions in Spanish. I am now trying to use it in the US (although I will soon be back in Panama). I would like to make more use of the E-mail features in combination with my Power Book and to move pictures from the BB to the Power Book. Right now I am stymied by the instructions that I am getting from BB (both on the device and on this web site).
Can anyone suggest how to synch my two puzzling non-communicating devices? I have not received any e-mails on the BB since Christmas.
