Mail going as an attachment in Processchain

Hi All,
We have created a processchain which sends mail to the users after successful loading. BUt the problem is they are getting the mail as an attachment and the file format is ".RAW". Could anyone help for getting the mail in Txt format.
Thanks in Adv..

Hi,
I think this is a Problem of SAPConnect. Use transaction SCOT. There you will find your (Internet-) email- configuration.
A doubleclick on it will show Settings. There again click on "Internet - Settings" and you will see Conversion-Formats for outgoing documents. You should convert RAW-Text to TXT.
At least this is the way in BW 3.1 with basis 620.
Hope that helps
Herbert

  • Sometimes PDF mails are going without an attachment.

    Hi,
I have 3 output types and the 3 custom programs.
When the background job scheduled, the standard RSNAST00 will call the custom programs,
    1)      The logic which added in the custom programs is once adobe form gets generated for output types, I have converted the adobe form into PDF attachment and send the E-mail to distribution list when the Transmission medium is u20185u2019.
    2)      In the program Function Module u2018SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARYu2019 used to convert adobe form into PDF file and class CL_BCS used to send it as a mail attachment.
    3) for the  other custom program,  once script gets generated for the output type I have converted the SCRIPT into PDF attachment and send the E-mail to distribution list when the Transmission medium is u20185u2019 .
    4) In the program function Module u2018CONVERT_OTFu2019 used to convert script to OTF file & CLASS METHOD xstring_to_solix Converts OTF to PDF and class CL_BCS used to send it as mail attachment to the mail id.
Issue: Sometimes mails are going without an attachment. When we retrigger the output type mails are sent with attachment successfully. This is happening monthly once or twice, even that time also when one output type send the attachment mail then remaining two not send the attachment and vice versa.
    Any clues on this issue.
    Thanks
    Kiran

I am on the way debugging into it .. to see the escape thing .. looks to me we double escape it ..
usually, you should NOT have to set anything more, this misbehaviour of incostent read is fixed by 10.1.3 - the escaping, I'll have to check ..

  • Can you customize what folder MAIL goes to when adding attachments?

Can you customize what folder MAIL goes to when adding attachments?
My friend has 2 email addresses for businesses.
He has invoices in folders for both, and wants to set up the Mac like this:
When he writes from one email address and attaches documents - he want the Mac always to go to the corresponding folder for that company of his. Same for the other email address...
    Make sense?
    Can this be done?
    Thanks in advance....

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether your problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click  Log in.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.  The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • Mail goes offline since 10.5.4 update

In the week or so since I did the 10.5.4 upgrade, I've noticed that over the course of the work day (machine is not asleep, and network is supposedly always connected) when I look at my Mail Inbox I periodically see the little warning triangle - the one with the ! in it - next to my Inbox. This supposedly means that Mail cannot get online and is therefore offline. When I see this, I hit "Get Mail"...and when I do, Mail goes out and checks and goes "bonk" and all seems fine. Until it happens again...which could be within minutes or anytime thereafter.
(additional info...) Sometimes when I go to manually check mail (hitting "Get Mail") when the little triangle ISN'T present, this will cause the triangle to appear. Then I hit Get Mail a few times and it goes away. It seems like Mail attaching to the network is a bit of a hit or miss affair.
Thing is, this did not happen before 10.5.4. It's also happening on multiple machines (all Intel MBPs configured similarly) on 2 different networks. These machines have always been set to check for new mail once a minute...and that's clearly what they're trying to do. Before 10.5.4, this worked reliably; but now it doesn't. And again, NOTHING other than 10.5.4 is different. Same ISPs, same routers (all Airports), same MBP hardware. Airport signal strength (as seen in the menubar) seems fine and isn't visibly dropping bars.
Apparently what is happening is that Mail is periodically losing its network connection until you manually force a check for mail. This would imply that 10.5.4 broke something in the way that apps (e.g., Mail and perhaps Safari...which also seems to "not find server" sometimes now) access the network? Has anyone else noticed this?

I just found this issue addressed on MacFixIt - http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20080730133625417 is website. Below is a summary.
For some users, this problem is just a matter of corrupted settings files, and removing them may help. To do this, go to the /username/Library/Preferences/ folder and remove the file com.apple.Mail.plist, then restart the Mail application. When Mail starts, enter one account at a time and test each accordingly. For MobileMe users who were switched from .Mac, set up the accounts with the "[email protected]" address instead of the old "@mac.com" address.
I just followed directions and basically I re-created the email accounts. Fortunately, all my old emails still showed up. I hd to reset my preferred "views". I think the new set up process also reset my Comcast settings. A few months ago I had to reset ports (Comast refused to say why), so I will see what happens. But so far so good.

  • Incoming mail going to Archive, not Inbox

On Dec, 2 I submitted this question:
    Dec 2, 2013 6:12 AM
My incoming mail now goes to the archive file instead of the inbox file. I have changed nothing and it still shows up in the inbox but allnew notifications go to the archive file. I am using OSX 10.9  Any ideas hoiw to fix this?
    iMac, OS X Mountain Lion
It was suggested to delete the account and then add it anew. That seemed to work fine, but two weeks later it all began again. All the incoming mail goes to an Archive folder and no new notifications are shown in the new mail accopunt? I hate to have to delete and reopen the accoiunt every few weeks.
Any ideas? I see the same issue on other discussions but no explanations?

What email program are you using?

  • All mail going into spam folder

After upgrading to Lion all mail going straight to spam folder, even the addresses saved in address book.  Any suggestions on how to fix?

Is the folder actually called "Spam" or do you mean the "Junk" folder?
A "Spam" folder is not part of Mail, while a "Junk" folder is.
If it is going to "Junk" then check for any Rules in Mail preferences that might be causing it. If there aren't any, try Resetting the Junk email filters in the Junk Mail tab of preferences.
If it is "Spam," then check with Gmail or whatever email service you are using that is routing it there at the server level.

  • Mail going to DRAFTS

I have a Yosemite 10.10.1/OSX Server 4 network. One client machine, new iMac also with 10.10.1, is consistently finding his outbound email going to the DRAFTS folder, and not being sent.  However, when he re-sends from DRAFTS, the mail goes out.
What do I need to check or change to have mail sent correctly?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Good mail going to Junk folder -- even Apple mail

I know there are other threads on this, but no one seems to have a resolve for it.
    Mac OS X 10.6.8
Just got my computer repaired at Apple, new harddrive, new video card.  So it's starting anew.
However, even my MacBookAir is putting my GOOD MAIL in my JUNK FOLDER.  So it's universal on all my devices.
Why is my mail going to my junk folder.  It's annoying to have to check every single piece of mail with "this is not junk" and then drag it to the IN box.  And then even that doesn't work.  I'll still receive the email from the same sender back into my Junk Folder.
I see a LOT, hundreds, of VIEWS for this issue, but no one is yet to resolve it.
Hope someone can solve it.  Thanks

Well, let's put it this way, it was never a problem before.  A new harddrive was installed on my computer so I'm starting from scratch.  I have no "rules" set yet.  My mail supplier is MAC --.mac, .icloud -- mail.  So my provider is MAC or APPLE I guess.  It's mac mail.
Everything is set to "default" right now. I followed someone else's instructions to RESET the Junk Mail.  Did that.
But I don't know any other proceedures to take to stop ALL MY MAIL from going into the JUNK EMAIL BOX.
Never did that before, so there must be some setting, or not, that is causing it to do that.
I have "enable junk mail filtering" checked.  The following types of messages are EXEMPT, my address book, previous recipients, messages using my full name, all checked.
Certainly "previous recipients" should not be sent to the junk folder if that option is checked to be exempt.
    What's left?

    Jeff:
I have gotten hostname as you suggested, and thus far seen one Helo failure prior to that, so thanks for the tip.
The queue is running like 150k to 170k, I've got content filter off right in order to isolate problems.
This wrong account issue is causing some severe creditability issues with this server as you can imagine.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Incoming mail goes to wrong mailbox

I recently created a rule in Mail to send all messages from a certain address to a specific mailbox. Trouble is, now about 50% of ALL my mail goes to that mailbox (instead of the Inbox), even if it doesn't come from the address specified in the rule.
What do I need to do to make sure that incoming messages not otherwise directed by one of my rules all end up in my Inbox?

It sounds like an error in the mail rule.  Pay particular attention to the Any or All criteria.

  • Acrobat 9.1.3 freezes my computer when I try to send an e-mail with a PDF attachment

Whenever I have a PDF open and want to send it to anyone via e-mail by clicking on the mail icon in the tool bar, it will open MS Outlook (2003) just fine. I can type whatever message I like and everything seems OK. The problem comes in when I press the "Send" button from Outlook. I get an error message and my computer completely freezes for about 10-15 minutes unless I shut it down before then. This just started happening recently--maybe a few months ago. I have Windows Professional XP and MS Office 2003, as well as Adobe 9.0 Pro (with the updates installed as they became available). I don't know why this is suddenly happening but it is quite maddening. It seems I can only send a PDF by first opening a blank e-mail message and then attaching the PDF, so the convenience of e-mailing a document through Acrobat seems to be a thing of the past. Has anyone else out there experienced this? There were way too many discussions for me to read through, so I'm creating my own here. If anyone can help, I'm open to any ideas or suggestions. Thanks very much.

I have the same issue and I'm trying to access the link provided for the AOL Community Support. I was able to type my question, but it keeps asking me to provide my date of birth, gender, and my name (for verification purposes). After filling out that little box multiple times, my question has still not been posted to the forum. Also, I was able to use Google Chrome to send email attachments through AOL with no problems.

You need a third party app. Take a look at some of these on this Google page.

    You don't.
It's not possible. The e-mail protocol is designed for text; anything else has to go as an attachment.
Different mail clients (such as Mail.app, the mail client bundled with Mac OS X) may have different ways of handling such attachments, but they are still attachments. Each mail client has its own rules and methods, so one may display a picture as if it were in the body of the message, but another client may do something completely different.
A way of faking it is to format your message in HTML (which is a kind of text). The image is hosted on a remote server, not added to the message; instead, you include a link to it in the body of the message, as you would when building a web page. (This is also what the two tips helpfully provided by X423424X do, except that the link to the image is added in the signature, rather than the body of the message.) What exactly happens to it is, again, at the discretion of the mail client. In my case, for instance, displaying images in HTML messages is turned off, and will stay resolutely off.
