Mail has gone blank, what else can I try?

Currently, when I press on my Mail button it opens to a blank page for about 15 seconds, then closes. My gmail account is set as my main email and works fine through safari, chrome and my phone etc.
I have already tried deleting the email account, then re-entering my username and password, next I reset my Ipad by holding down the sleep and home buttons, then tried resetting it in the network settings, once more tried deleting my email account and re-entered my username and password, and finally upgraded to the most current iOS.
None of these steps have worked! The strange part is I can still send emails through my Pages App - I hear the 'swoosh' that it went through and my coworkers have recieved my PDFs etc, and occadioanly I will hear the alert of a new email, but it is always blank when I try to use Mail. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried forcing the app to close? Double tap the home button and find the mail app preview thumbnail, swipe the preview thumbnail up off the top of the screen to close it.
Have you considered that you might have large or corrupt attachment in the email account that could be causing the problem? You ca check the emails on the server since you do have actress via web browsers.

    Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good. If your computer/iTunes does not recognize the iPad, then the cable is probably bad.
    Try this first -  Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.     Have you tried a 'hard reset'. You do not lose any of your data on the iPad.
    Here are the steps:
        Press the Power Buton and the Home button simultaneously.
        Continue to hold down both buttons until the iPad shuts off
        Release the buttons when the Apple Logo appears.
    Also, make sure your iPad is not in airplane mode. Settings, Airplane mode is the first option under settings,

  • AV Cable doesn't work..what else can I try?

    I bought an iPod AV Cable so I could play picture slideshows on my TV. But I get sound from my iPod on my TV (with the TV set to "input 2") but no picture. I changed the picture setting on my iPod to "TV out" and I also tried "TV ask" but none of these do anything and the iPod does NOT ask me anything.... what else can I try, none of the online help topics address this. I'm sure it must be something so very simple. Does anyone have any ideas. Clearly, I don't know what I'm doing here...but if I can't fix it I'll have to return the silly cable to the store.     For Flash, could you try downloading the "full" installers from this page:

    In the first table, there are two rows for Windows: one for the ActiveX control for IE, and one for the plugin for Firefox. You might want to grab both. And try the .msi files instead of the .exe files to see whether those work better.
    Will either of those install?
    It's odd that on a newly rebuilt system your More System Details shows that you have a user.js file, which is an optional settings files used to override your previous session settings. This is not part of the standard Firefox installation, so if you did not create that file yourself, you may want to investigate or delete it.     I have no clue what you mean by "all the different methods."  Here are my suggestions.
    First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
    If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
    At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
    If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

    Have you checked ALL the settings including the port assignments? Easiest way to get those back to is to delete the email account from the iPad then redo the email account. Usually the ISP providing the email account will have instructions on their web site.
