I use iPhone, iPad and MBP and of course iCloud. Everything has always worked perfectly, except since last friday.
when i turn on my MBP, all mails received during the time it has been off doesnt show up in inbox in Mail. I see the mails on my iPhone or iPad (and www.icloud.com) but not in inbox. If my MBP is turned on and I am using it, then all mails are received as normal.
Everything else seems to work perfectly. If I from my iPhone move a mail to another folder, then it shows up in the folder in Mail. But it never was visible in Inbox. I can from my MBP see mails sent from my iPhone, and all other folders are syncronized. Just not Inbox... I have tried to search for the mail, but nothing.
Any suggestions?

Open up Mail preferences, Accounts tab, select iCloud account and look at the advanced tab. It should have these settings.
In addition, when you completely sign out of iCloud, the iCloud account in Mail's preferences in the Account tab should disappear. If it doesn't, delete the iCloud account and sign back in. It will be recreated for you automatically.

When you change your Apple password, does the same password apply to itunes, mail, icloud etc. or do they all have separate passwords?

It's the same account and password - iCloud, FaceTime, iMessage, Game Center, stores.
You may need to log out of your account on any iOS devices that you have by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in with the updated password so as to 'refresh' the account on it, and for Cloud.

Par vagues (la première il y a quelques mois, la deuxième actullement depuis plusieurs jours), je reçois sur mon adresse mail iCloud des notifications de non-distribution de mails, mails que je n'ai jamais envoyé moi-même car je ne connais pas les destinataires.
Quelqu'un sait-il comment résoudre ce problème ?

En Tentative answer: if somebody is using your iCloud account on your behalf, you better change ASAP your password! (your iCloud personal data may be accessed, also the "person" (?) using your account may know where you are at anytime ... ("Find my iPhone/Pad/Mac...").
By the way I'd like to know if (at last, like Gmail) there is now a way to detect any "unusual connection", like from a distant IP - or, simply, to be able to list the last accesses (IP...)

Comment changer mon adresse mail icloud sur mon iphone

J'ai modifié mon adresse mail Icloud et itunes, je n'arrive pas à changer cette adresse sur mon Iphone.
Quand je fait "réglages" "icloud" et que je séléctionne "compte" apparait mon ancienne adresse sur "identifiant". Cette adresse est grisée et ne peut pas être changée ! Merci pour vos réponses.

Cannot load mail - iCloud

I receive the above message when logging in to iCloud beta. At first it said my password was incorrect, so I reset it and now when I log in it says 'cannot load mail'
Also, when trying to retrieve my mail via my iPhone running iOS 5 beta, it says that my password is incorrect, even though I have changed it to the new one
Any suggestions, or at least info on why this is happening/when it will be fixed?

Ya...well... It's BEEN launched and a boat load of us can't get mail. All other cloud features work and logging in is NOT the issue. The mail IS! What's it going to take to fix it? More the question is WHEN?
Super angry and disappointed in Apple. Projects shouldn't be launched until they WORK! Totally regret changing my account to cloud!

I have tried many times to write and switch off my ipad in order to have my mails crypted from my ipad2 but it does not work , from my writing email icloud was mentioned as " email is not encrypted in red" . I come to ask you for helping me, or should I switch off again?

TS3988 "Problem turning on mail" -iCloud

I'm attempting to sync notes on my iPhone through the cloud. When I hit the slider in iCloud preferences to do this, I'm prompted to create an "@iCloud" email address. When I attempt to do this, I get an alert that reads "Problem turning on mail. There was a problem turning on your email, try again."
I've tried many times and restarted my phone, to no avail. My calendar, reminders, contacts etc. all sync up just fine.
I'm running iOS 6.0 (beta) and Mountain Lion. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I have the same exact problem on both my iPhone 4 and iPad 2. I've read dozens of forum posts but have yet to find an answer.

Group mail icloud

I can create groups os mail addresses in iCloud, however I cannot send mail to this group. These groups are treated as seperate address books. Why call them 'groups' if there is no group functionality what so ever to this feature?
Anyone with a workaround or is there a next version at hand that supports groups?

I do the following:
1. Send the email to yourself.
2. Put the group's email into the BCC field.
3. Click send.
The only thing that shows up to the recipients is your email twice.

Mail / iCloud rejects password on one mac but not the other

I have just upgraded my MacbookPro and my MacPro from 10.6 to 10.7.
For whatever reason - the MBP works fine and can access all my email accounts, whilst the MP is constantly rejecting the password for iCloud.
My Mobileme account was upgraded to iCloud several months ago and has been in daily use on both macs ever since.
The only difference in the upgrades is that the MBP upgrade was not a clean install, whereas the MP was installed with a clean hard drive and then all apps/data was transfered over.
Disk permissions have been repaired and that has made no difference.
Both macs are on the same network, with the same passwords and same account settings. Any suggestion how i can resolve this problem?

i solved the problem by adding a new mail account to Mail, re-inputting the email address and password, then deleting the old problematic one.

I keep trying to sign into my mail,,, icloud.... And it keeps telling me it has already been added to this device

I wanna check my icloud mail ..every time I tap on the icon it brings up a list of places that have emails... Such as AOL, yahoo, outlook , icloud . Etc..then when check icloud and put in user name and password , it tells me this account has already been added to the device ... It worked fine yesterday ...

Intel Imac (snow leopard) Mail/Icloud not accepting Password

I am having a very strange problem since yesterday when mail on my Imac running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 started complaining about wrong password.
I reset the account on Mail, deleted the account, set the account back up, reset the password various times but to no avail.
I have mail running also on my macbook running Lion and on my iphone 4 running Ios 5.0.1 and they all work with no problem and they have accepted the new password.
I have tried installing Thhunderbird and tried to configure it on the Imac for use with icloud account but same issue was presented.
I tried setting up the icloud email on my windows 7 pc and had the same issue.
I have also installed the Icloud app for snow leopard and that as well is giving the same error message.
I have tried all the suggestions found in this support forum but none of them have produced positive results.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what I could do to have mail working again??

I reset the account on Mail, deleted the account, set the account back up, reset the password various times but to no avail.
Launch Keychain Accesss located in /Applications/Utilities
Select Passwords on the left.
Locate your mail keychain. You can use the search field top right corner of the window.
Then right or control click the keychain then click Delete.
Now open Mail. From the menu bar click Mail > Preferences then select the Accounts tab then the Account Information tab.
Type in the correct password. You should be prompted to save that information to a new keychain.
