Mail icon deleted

My two year old son has managed to delete the icons on the bottom bar of the home screen (the ones the are always there), including Mail, safari, photos, etc. I can still access them through a search, but how can I get them back to my home screen?

you may have them turned off in restrictions. look under setting> general>restrictions. deleting them is not possible, but they can be moved around, into folders, or restricted from showing up

How To Delete Number of E-mails Next to "Mail" Icon

How do I delete the "3534" number that is next to the "Mail" icon and shown in my "Inbox"?
I had previously deleted all of these e-mails including "Trash" and they no longer show up anywhere except for the number "3534". At the time that I deleted all of the e-mails I used the guidance given on this website to "delete all e-mails" since IOS7 did not have this function.

I had stepped away for few, so I missed your 2nd post, so this may not be a final fix... but here goes anyway

In Mail, choose Mailbox > Erase Deleted Items > In All Accounts, and Mailbox > Erase Junk Mail.
There should be a way to set your Trash to empty on a schedule or at Quit. Choose the Mail > [Help] menu and search for " empty trash " should find exactly how.

I delete emails by putting them in trash. I have even deleted all mail. It all reappears no matter what I try! The mail icon shows I have thousands of emails and I can't get rid of them! Please help!!

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. E mail hacked. E mail accessible on web and yahoo app but cannot get it on usual mail icon. Get message "cannot connect to server" when I try to open the account which I deleted as it wasn't letting me see my mail.

My yahoo email was hacked. Changed password but since then unable to access account in usual way via "mail" icon.

The app is crashing for some reason - maybe an email with a very large attachment or some crappy spam email is messing things up. Quit the mail app.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close mail by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the mail app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close it. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If mail still crashes, go to your webmail in a browser and see if you have an email in there that might be causing a problem and delete it. Then try the app again. If necessary, quit the app, restart the iPad and then try again.
If that doesnt help, try a reset. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Go to your Gmail account in the browser.
Hit the folder icon that brings up the folder selection.
Scroll down to the bottom and select desktop version.
The broswer will refresh and bring up your gmail account as though you were looking on it on the computer.
The go to the upper right corner and select settings.
Then go to forwarding and pop/imap
Go look at pop download
There you'll find 3 numbered lines
Go to 1. Status
And select enable pop for all mail
Then save the settings
Once you have done that you can go back to BlackBerry device settings and sync your mail or wait for it to sync it's self.

Try to reset your ipad and/or force quit the mail app
Reset
Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot. No data will be lost.
Force close an app
Double tap the home button. When you see the app previews on the screen scroll sideways if needed to get the preview in question on the screen. Flick that preview up and off the screen to close the app. Single tap the home button or home screen preview to exit the mode.

You can't delete it. Look on all your screens and inside all your folders. If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. (This may rearrange other apps on your phone.)

Is it the application itself that was deleted from the /Applications folder of is it the icon on the dock that got deleted?
If it is the icon just drag it back from the Application folder to the dock. If if is the app you will need to get the application off your install disks. You could either re-install the OS or use something like Pacifist to get the mail application off the disk.

Accidentally Deleted the Mail Icon on IMac

I accidentally deleted the Mail icon on my IMac. I can't find it in "Applications" folder either, so maybe I deleted something more serious?!

Perform a custom install from the Mac OS X 10.4 disk and install only that component if possible; if not, use Pacifist to install it. In either case, run the combo updater for your Mac OS X version afterward.

I just updated my phone with ios 6.1.3 and now my gmail email is not working. When i tap the mail icon it brings me to my inbox for 2 seconds then immediately back to my phone home screen. I have tried deleting and re-adding my gmail account and I have reset all settings also.
Nothing is working. Does anyone have any tips?

When i touch the mail icon the widow disapears 3 sec after,it is impossible to delete the mails!!

When i touch the mail icon the window's mail disapear 3 sec after!It is imposible to read my mails and to detete them.I have 2 ipad it's the same thing on the both.
I use iTunes to update the iPad program and everytime it's appear a network error 5 mn after the start!!
How can i resolve this failure?

Try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

The mail icon on my iPhone says I have 1,504 unread messages, but when I go to delete them, it says "No Mail". I was trying to "clean out" my phone because I can't access my Words With Friends app - everytime I try to go there, it kicks me off.
