Mail- inboxes not showing in one account

I use Apple's Mail program at work. On the iPhone, when I get mail for that account, all the messages are there, but there are no other folders besides the In Box. This doesn't happen with the other three email account I have. I have checked the settings, they match closely to the other accounts.
I'd just like to be able to sort my messages into their respective folders.
Any help is appreciated.

If the mail account on the iPhone was set up as POP, then you will not see the folders. IMAP accounts are the ones that have folders.
You may need to delete and re-add the account as an IMAP.

  • Mac book pro10.10 mail inbox not showing up

Hi, so all of a sudden my mac mail, 10.10.1 stopped receiving new mail. I could send mail just fine because it would show up in my web mail. Greetings venom56994,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with Mail in Yosemite. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
Mail (Yosemite): If you can’t receive messages
If you can’t receive messages in Mail
If you’re certain you’re not receiving messages, even after clicking the Get Mail button  in the Mail toolbar, try these suggestions.
Check whether Mail is retrieving a large message or a message with large attachments. For more information, see View Mail activity.
Try sorting messages in the message list by Date or another attribute, or searching for messages, to verify if you received them.
Check whether your account is offline or disabled (inactive).
Try quitting Mail, then opening it again.
Choose Window > Connection Doctor, then follow any instructions in the Details column. Check for problems logging in to email accounts or with the incoming mail server, or with firewall software blocking network traffic.
Check whether you’re affected by another firewall, such as software installed separately from OS X or built into an Internet sharing router, or administered by your account provider. Contact the appropriate person for information.
If you’re logged in to a network using VPN, make sure that you entered your VPN password correctly.
Contact your email account provider to verify your user name, password, incoming mail server, and other required information; then verify the information is entered correctly in Mail account preferences.
You can’t log in directly to any service that doesn’t support POP, IMAP, or Exchange Web Services, and get messages using Mail.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
    Best,

  • Apple mail inbox not showing all new gmail

When checking gmail through apple mail some mail is showing in archive, some in important, some in other folders, but NOT in the actual inbox itself.
Running Yosemite and all up to date.
    Any clues as to why?

Try rebuilding the mailbox. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

  • Volumes not showing on one account

Hi, I am just setting up a 2007 MacBookPro for a new user. I deleted an old user account anmd updated to OS 10.6.5 plus all other Apple updates. On the admin account the boot volume as well as the Bootcamp volume show up. On the non-admin account none is visible, although in "Go to Folder..." they are there. Switching the normal account to admin did not help as did a permissions repair.
Is there an easy remedy for this?

    Addendum:
Starting up from the SL-install disk works, but none of the volumes shows up in any utility. Strange. Hardware problem?

  • Mail will not show new emails on my Mac Air but sends OK. Mail server is working

    Hello
As I said above, Mail will not show new emails on my Mac Air but sends mails OK. The Mail server is working because my iPad is receiving and displaying incoming messages.
    Your advice is most welcome.
    Thanks!

Thunderbird successfully displays all of my e-mail accounts in the list of accounts and displays all of the inboxes correctly however it doesn't display the e-mails at my newest address in the unified inbox. To see them, I have to click on that particular e-mail accounts inbox. In every way, this account appears to be set up the same as the all the other ones. The newest e-mail account is a second account through Zoho. What do you think is the problem?

Thank you. I had to select the search from the menu instead og by right clicking but it worked just the same.

  • Double clicking a new e-mail does NOT show whole e-mail

double clicking a new e-mail does NOT show whole e-mail unless I go to forward or reply. In other words, I may see a couple sentences, then it's just blank, no scroll bar either. This gets annoying. Anybody else get this or know how to overcome this?

Well, there is no such thing as an AOL type account in Mail. Such an account must be set up as either POP or IMAP. Nevertheless, knowing that the ISP for one of the accounts is AOL is useful because it seems that other people also have this problem with AOL -- see Chuck Coulson's and smackwell's posts in this thread.
I don't think I'll be able to help you with the AOL account other than telling you to try rebuilding the mailbox -- select the mailbox and choose Rebuild from the Mailbox menu. Have you tried that?
The problem shouldn't happen with the POP account, however. Do you experience the same problem with it as well?

  • I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures for my Mail is not showing up. I have the signatures inthe preference panes and selected for the email address, but when I make a new message, the signature shows as none and doesn't give me a choice

I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures for my Mail are not showing up. I have the signatures inthe preference panes and selected for the email address, but when I make a new message, the signature shows as none and doesn't give me a choice. Yesterday, the signatures were stacking instead of switching to the one I wanted to choose.

I had this and fixed it.
I had upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures in Mail were fine. But then about a week later, I got a new computer and used Migration Assistant to copy my stuff to the new machine. Upon opening Mail, I had all the correct Signature information in the Preferences>Signatures window, but nothing worked.
After lots of hunting, I found the Signature Folder. It's in:
    Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
Looking at my previous setup (which works) I saw in that folder two types of files: .webarchive and .siganture
Looking in my new machine's Signature folder, I saw only the .webarchive folders, not the .signature folders
Since this was literally a clone of my previous setup to a new machine, here's what I did:
    1. Quit Mail
    2. In Problem machine, go to
    Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
    3. Move the Signatures folder someplace safe, but out of the MailData folder
    4. Get the Signatures Folder from the working install (like a backup) and copy it to the MailData folder on the problematic machine
    5. Start Mail on the problem machine
This worked for me. I don't know why Migration Assistant didn't copy the full signature folder, but this fixed it. It worked perfectly partly because I had just backed up with Carbon Copy Cloner and the very next day set up the new machine. I don't know where Lion or earlier versions of mail stored signatures, but the absence of the .signature filetype seems to be the problem.
    Hope this helps

  • My mail inbox is showing Load More Messages - 5 messages total - 5 unread

My mail inbox is showing Load More Messages - 5 messages total - 5 unread. When I select Load More Messages it starts to do something then stops. I do not seem to be able to access these unread messages. Can anyone help me with this annoying problem?

This is my basic, first start, recommended "fix" when these types of weird, unexplained things occur on the iPad. Give it a try. After you reboot, go back to the mail app and see if the messages will load.
Quit the mail app completely and reboot the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Recently migrated from mobileme to iCloud and my mail inbox always shows 3. Any idea how to fix?

I recently upgraded to Lion and migrated my mobileme account to iCloud and my mail inbox always shows 3 new emails that don't appear as new anywhere. I found a previous article from a couple of years ago but it was no help. Any ideas?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try turning mail syncing off and on again in system preferences > iCloud.

  • Why do Apple Mail attachments not show in SENT?

    I use Mountain Lion OSX10.8.2 on a 27" iMac/1TB HD/12GB RAM.
When I write an Apple Mail email and attach a jpg (for example),
I am never sure if the attachment was sent.
Apple Mail will not show me in SENT that there was an attachment.
There is no record of the attachment on the previous sent email.
Am I missing something? How the heck am I suppose to know if
ANY attachment was sent or not?

Hmm I thought this got sorted out in 10.8 but maybe not.
I asume you are in full screen, with the three column view?
If you change to classic you should see the attachment paper clip?
What I had to do for a work-a-round was create a "rule." Even with this you have to right click the selected sent box>> apply rules

  • HT201774 my SENT mail does not show up in my iphone

my SENT mail does not show up in my iphone and will not sync with the rest of my mail

IF you are talking about Exchange on Google with Gmail (ie chose exchange and using m.google.com) here is what I did to fix it.
Using your browser, sign into Gmail.  IF, NEAR THE BOTTOM of your folder lists, you have a label(folder) on the left side called "Sent Items" then delete it (mine never had anything in it and i think it's for conversations.)  BTW, I KNOW this is a Junk E-Mail (remember i already deleted my folder) but wanted to show you the drop down and Remove Label option.
Then go to your  Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Exchange -> Mail Folders to Push -> and put a checkbox next to SENT (looks like a paper airplane)
backout, go back into mail -> Exchange -> and you should then see the same paper airplane there.
What was happening with mine was it would show up and then disappear as soon as it synced.  The only thing i can think of is that GMAIL has a folder called SENT xxxxx (that I deleted above) that confused the iPhone and i believe it's for Messages not Mail (via google talk)
Once that was deleted, Voila!  No more missing sent mail.  Also, it has showed up on my iPad again.
    Hope this helps.

  • Mail does not show images anymore server stopped responding on my iPad 2 when attempting to browse web

Over the last couple of days my ipad 2 has started to play up. First the mail would not show images in mail then when trying to browse the web it now will not open any pages. I have attempted a wipe & reload but still no difference.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

  • I have 2 hotmail accounts on my mail, when I send from one account I receive the reply in my other account, how can I stop this from happening?

I have 2 hotmail accounts in my Mac Mail, when I send from one account the reply comes back to the other hotmail account, how can I stop this?

You should be able to open both accounts.
I believe Hotmail T&C may expect you to have only one account, but possibly multiple alliases.
You may have problems opening two separate hotmail accounts at once in Firefox. Try using a new private browsing window for the second one. With any look that will separate them enough for you to use both at once.
(With other account holders permission.) I sometimes open my own and another persons hotmail account by that method.
