Mail is triggering from SOST but recipent not received mail

Hi,
The SOST log showing that mails are sent successfully...but no mail is sent to the recipents.
Could you please tell me, what might be the problem? is it anything with configuration?

I think you check to below process.
1. Do you use "RSCONN01" program?
2. which do you use FMs SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 or SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1. For example SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 not correct in our system. SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 works healthy.
3. Pleace check your user's master data for email.
4. You may write test mail and send to smtp mail with SBWP tcode. And then run RSCONN01 programs.
5. You check fill parameters of FM.

Try sending yourself an email and see if that come thru. You may just have to remove the account and re add it back.

It could be that your ISP wants you to use a specific outgoing mail server. Check with your ISP. Sometimes they will only allow you to use their outgoing mail server when you're on their network and not your own. For example, if you use Optimum Online they may only let you use mail.optonline.com for outgoing so you couldn't use mail.yourdomain.com.
They do this to cut down on people sending spam from their networks.

Can get mail but can not receive mail.

Had a problem with receiving mail on an account so we deleted the account and re-added it. And it worked. Same thing is now happening to another user ad we tried the same thing but the user is still not getting mail.
Running 10.4.10. any help would be great. Not entirely new to server, but to troubleshooting the mail side I am beginner.
Also having a weird problem where old accounts, after they have been deleted still show up under server admin- mail - maintenance - accounts. Not a big problem just weird.

OK... to recap: You have a user, you send email to user, user checks email, user does not get email?
On the server, can you check the mail queue (in Server Admin or on the command line with mailq) to see if mail for that user's id is stuck in the queue? Mail can be stuck in the active queue without throwing any error messages your way. In my experience, and the experience of a few others on the board, this can be due to problems connecting to the user's home directory server.

I can send event invitations from ical but can not receive them --invites go to another family member email

I am using Lion and everything was working fine -- until I got a new mac and set the older one up for my husband and put his user account on the old mac.
Now I can send ical invitations out and can get replies -- but if someone else originiates an invitation to me -- I don't get the invite on my new mac. My husband gets it on the older mac I set up for him in his Ical. We have totally different emails and when I click on the email name in the invite it is addressed to me and my email address but it comes on my husband's ical.
I can't figure it out???
If I originate the event invite I have no problem getting the replies -- but when someone else originates the invite -- it comes on my husband's ical (with my name and email address)
Please help -- this is driving me crazy!!

Hello. Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I'm having the same one. My wife's iCal invitations are showing up in my iCal "Inbox" but are not coming to me via email. I discovered this while troubleshooting the issue just now...and saw that I had 10+ iCal invites for which I never received email notifications.
I never proactively check iCal, so definitely need to resolve this issue, as receiving emailed invitations is the only way they're filed into my iCal. Thanks for any insight!

HI Ralph. There's no message at all when I try to get mail. All was working fine until yesterday afternoon - then all mail received yesterday morning disappeared from the third device (iPad Mini), and now, when I try to get mail, it just reads "updated yesterday" in my Inbox, etc. Any ideas?

Hotmail not receiving mail

I have had hotmail on my computer for 3 months now and recently it decided to stop recieving mail. I deleted and re-added the acount. Now it will send mail, but will not receive mail. My ipad and iphone are still receiving mail from hotmail but not my Mac. Any help would be appreciated.

Login to Hotmail's Webmail in a browser, does it work via WebMail?

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. My Usenet Newsreader program (MT-Newswatcher) has a mail client capable of sending messages through my mail account, but is not capable of receiving mail as far as I can tell. However my mail account does receive mail. If there is an mail account not capable of receiving mail, I don't think Gmail is it. But that doesn't mean you have to read it or download it to your computer.
My incoming mail resides on an AOL server. My old AOL mail client only shows basic information like title, date received and who it is from. The mail is not actually downloaded to my computer until I open it.
Other mail clients such as AOL Desktop and the iPad mail App, do download the mail to your computer or iPad, whether you read it or not. So the answer to your question may depend on your mail client and how you define "does not receive"!

Not receiving mail from AOL

I am not receiving mail from AOL users ( PC's or Mac's ) I do not have an AOL account. Verizon DSL is my service, their tech. support does not see anything wrong. When I send from Apple mail the Mac user does not receive the mail, nor a message as to an error. The PC has received my Apple mail, but I have not received mail from them, also no error message to me. Thank you.

Have you checked is these messages are available at the server via webmail access for your Verizon email account?
If these messages are not available at the server when checking the account via webmail access, this is either an AOL or Verizon problem.
Regarding sending messages, try sending a message via webmail access to the same Mac user.
