Mail keeps opening in the background when accessing contact details
I'm using iPhone 3G
I have an App called FreeMemory (from the AppStore) than can view all running apps in the background.
What I'll do is check FreeMemory and I can see that Mail is NOT running.
Then I go ahead and open Contacts and tap on a particular contact name (I noticed that it takes a while to open the details of a particular contact).
After that I close Contacts and go back to FreeMemory. Now I see Mail running in the background.
(but when I only open Contacts and scroll through the list and I dont tap a contact name, it WONT open the Mail app).
I can conclude that accessing a contact detail also opens Mail app which eats RAM since im using only iPhone 3G which has small RAM.
*PLEASE note that all my mail accounts are already INACTIVE/DISABLED and my Fetch options are OFF and set to Manual. Also, I DONT have any email adress info of my contacts stored in their names.
Any idea how I can prevent Mail from opening when I access contact details??

Thanks, that helped.If you mean using the mail app - yes it can be kept open. You do not have the multiple open windows feature in iOS like on a computer so you still have to navigate back to the mail app via double tapping the home button or by swiping to switch apps if using multitasking gestures.

Why does the Firefox application stay open in the background when I close it?
I have a WN XP PRO desktop and a WN 7 Pro laptop. Every grade of Firefox has the same problen of staying open in the background at times. I have always had to restart my computers to clear it. Why can't this problem be fixed? I see that others are having the same problem. The only time that I know that it hasn't shut down is when I try opening it up. It may be running when I am using IE or Google. It has to be slowing my computers down.
There's no way a 16GB model phone has more than than capacity. I have no idea what you mean by AutoRun icon. Is that an app you downloaded? Did you jailbreak?
The "advertised" capacity of all storage devices is based on a decimal definition of "Gigabytes" where 1 GB is defined as 1,000,000,000 bytes. However computers see and calculate storage based on binary definitions where 1 GB = 1,073 742,824 bytes. Thus a 16 GB "decimal" device is only 14.9 real, binary gigabytes.
Also, there are additional loses due to formatting overhead and the iOS. RAM memory is separate and not used from the supplied flash disk. -
Since the update i can not open webpage,also even when i close it keeps running in the background.

I use a web based software for work. I go to a web page listing all employees as links (Window A). When I click an employee link a new window opens (Window B). Window B contains links, i.e. Add Client, Change Address, Change Phone Number, Change Name, Upload Photo, etc... When I hold CTRL and left click the links in Window B, the new tab opens in Window A. I don't understand why this has changed, as I've been using this method to open new tabs in my current window in both of the previous versions of Firefox.
That didn't work, but thank you very much for the offer of help. I had already tried that option.
To give you an example of what I'm speaking, I found this page that recreates the scenario.

2. Click the GO in the center of the box on their page (This creates a pop-up window with links to other programming pages)
3. CTRL+left click any of those links. The page opens in the background/original window, not the pop up window where you are currently working. And, with your solution takes me back to that window and the new tab. -
When I open Firefox, the background of the icon on the bottom of my screen turns green on the left side.
If you want to remove saved form data from a drop down list then use these steps:

On my iPad2 the mail app opens and the page icons are there but no messages are shown. I know mail is being sent as I can access it in other ways plus the envelope icon on my homepage continues to show the number of messages received.
I have rebooted twice now but cannot think of anything else to do

You all just sold us a bad piece of equipment and have us by the tail with our contracts so none of us can get a new phone without paying full price or re-upping our contract. Firefox keeps running in the background, and cannot clear Cache after turning off Firefox
After shutting down Firefox, it keeps running in the background. This creates a Problem when trying to clear the Cache, etc.
Why does it keep running?Look into CCleaner and Advanced System Care and file a support question because if Firefox is not in task manager it is NOT RUNNING! By the way you mentioned you don't like that Firefox 7.0 because it doesn't have a tool bar with Mail and Facebook try this:
*Make mail etc. bookmarks
*Open the list of bookmarks
*Right click one
*Click "Properties"
*Enter mail or facebook etc. in "Keywords"
*Next time you want to open it just type mail or facebook etc. into the address bar
*Hit enter or click the green arrow however you normally load a webpage when you type it in

I'm having a small but annoying issue with FF10. In the past, I have watched a video on a website that I visited to get information on a diet for a family member. I have not visited that site since obtaining the information on the diet, but now, sometimes the audio from that video will play in the background when I am browsing with FF10. This issue has not occurred with any other browser, so far as I am aware. My first thought was that I may have a virus, but I run virus scans every day, and all of them have come back showing no viruses. I have run Norton Internet Security scan in both Safe Mode and Normal mode, all with the same result. My PC is less than a year old, and everything seems to be running smoothly, apart from this problem. It does not happen every time I open Firefox, but sometimes happens at start-up, or more rarely, after I've been browsing for a while. Apart from the repeated virus scans, I have also attempted to clear any cookies related to the site I visited. I am waiting to see if this solves the issue, but I'm wondering if anyone else is having or has had a similar issue. If you have, any help would be much appreciated.The audio of the video was annoying to listen to once, and I'm hoping I do not have to keep hearing it so often, so if you have any suggestions beyond what I have tried, I'd be extremely grateful. Crystal Parameter form opens in the background
Hi All,
Has anyone else seen or perhaps resolved the issue where, when running a crystal report from SAP which has selection parameters, the form in which the user needs to key the parameters opens in the background.
It doesn't show in the tool bar that it is there, so the users try again, and get an error message about open sessions (can't recall the exact message).Hi All,
The error message is :
"Multiple report views are not permitted".
I am keeping updating this to keep the message up front.
I have a customer who is having real trouble with this.
I see the issue has been raised and solved before but the links are broken so I cannot find the answer.

i have done a system copy from production server into quality server. quality was scrapped and freshly installed with SAP then used the DB flush method to carry out the system copy. i had to change the DBS_ORA_SCHEMA in environment variables to SAP<SOURCE SID> from SAPSR3. the sap version is ECC6.0,DB is ORACLE10.2 on WIN NT.

Adobe pdf printer save dialog box opens in the background - progress bar shows Not Responding
I have two users who have Acrobat X Pro version 10.1.4 that are experiencing the same things. First, one person just changed laptops and the new one has a fresh Windows 7 Enterprise X64 image and new installation of Adobe Acrobat X Pro. When he used the pdf printer for the first time(after opening the program and accepting the license agreement) he was in MS Excel '07 and chose file>print>Adobe PDF and then the progress bar came up and then showed not responding. After he did this a couple of times with me standing there I noticed that the save dialog box was opening in the background because I could see the icon blinking on the taskbar. He said that his old computer never did this and that it would always open up and ask where to save the file and never show 'not responding' on the progress bar. The other person having the same issue is running the same version but she has had the program installed on her machine for a few months and an older version on before that.
Is there a way to make the dialog box show as soon as you print to the Adobe PDF printer? What is causing this? Can't get links in my e-mail to open in the active window
I just upgraded to Firefox 4, and while I like how much faster it is and how much less bogged down my Vista laptop is (FF is open pretty much constantly), I'm still struggling a bit with some of the "look and feel" tweaks.
The big problem I'm having right now is that I cannot figure out how to get links in e-mail to open in the active browser window (they keep insisting on opening new windows, which to me makes for clutter). I'm using Thunderbird 3.1.9.Hi ,
1.Please do the message tracking for the messages which you have send to the outside world.
2.Just check is there any messages held up On the queue viewer in exchange 2013.
3.make sure all the required exchange services are up and running.

4.make sure all the required server components are active in the exchange 2013 server.
Get-ServerComponentState –Identity "server name"
5.make sure you are having an enough space on the disk drive where the exchange transport queue database resides.
6.Just enable the protocol logging on the send connector and check the logs.
7.You would have use either smart host or your exchange server to directly communicate with the mail servers in internet .So please make sure the name resolution part is working fine.
8.Most importantly you need to check the send connector configurations and reach ability to the smart host if you have on your network.
