Mail marks as I have new messages in yahoo accounts when I have none since update ios 7

The email inbox mark unread messages in my yahoo accounts when I have none, neither read or unread messages since I update to ios 7. Does anyone has the same problem? Know how to solve this?

Same issue.  Two items shown as being unread, but none to be found in Mail nor on Yahoo's mail server.

  • How do I get my iPhone3 to stop showing 2 new messages in the inbox when they are none there?

The mailbox icon on my iPhone has the little red bubble with a number 2 next to it, but when I go to my inbox, I don't see any unread messages. Is there something I did wrong? What do you suggest I do? Thanks!

    Hey jel177!
It seems like you may need to turn off your iTunes in the Cloud features and download or sync the songs manually to your phone. Here is a link that can help you adjust those settings:

  • Mail won't download any new messages.

    Updated to 10.6.2 recently.
Today I have noticed that mail, although checking for new mail, doesn't show any new messages. This despite the ping sounding off to indicate new mail.
The only way to see any new messages is to shut mail down and open it back up.

Try this - find the /Library/Preferences folder in your user/Home folder and then locate and delete this file:
    com.apple.mail.plist
*Caution* - doing this may clear your account settings to be sure to note those first in the event you are required to reconfigure, etc.

  • Can't see if Mail is actually searching for new messages

The old system had that little 'spinning wheel' that showed Mail was attempting to receive new messages. It was quite handy for knowing what the Mac was trying to do when I was having connection problems. Now it only shows up when sending. Always feels like a backward step when designers remove things like this. Or is there some way to get my wheel back?!

I have the arrow on the bottom left corner and it changes from up to down when I click on it, but the activity monitor never appears. Any ideas?
This happens on my MacBook but not my iMac. The iMac is working fine.
BTW, how the heck does the apple support forum know what computers AND accessories I have. That's scary.

  • Inbox in Mail: How to Re-Route New Messages?

I receive about 100 emails a day, and about half are from contacts at my workplace.  I want all of my workplace emails to go into ONE inbox (perhaps a smart mailbox), but to NOT APPEAR IN MY REGULAR INBOX.  So for example, say my employer is named Spokane University, and everyone who works there has an email address such as [email protected]  How can I set up mail so that all the NEW MESSAGES from senders with a @spokane.edu address go into one folder within my inbox, but then messages from everyone else just go into my regular inbox?  So in other words, I want a smart mailbox in my INBOX folder.  One that catches all the @spokane.edu incoming mail, and that prevents such mail from going into my regular inbox.
I DON'T WANT TO USE  A REGULAR SMART MAILBOX FOR THIS, AS THE WHOLE POINT IS TO PREVENT THE SPOKANE.EDU NEW MAILS FROM LANDING IN MY INBOX.  IN OTHER WORDS, I  WANT TO READ THE SPOKANE.EDU EMAILS ALL AT ONCE, BUT I STILL WANT TO READ MY OTHER, NON-SPOKANE.EDU EMAILS THROUGHOUT THE DAY.
    Many thanks.

That's great, thanks.  However, the only problem is, even when I create a new mailbox and then create a rule that moves message to that mailbox when the From [email protected], a copy of the incoming message still remains in my inbox.  Is there a way to keep it out of my inbox?  Thanks.

  • Drop & Drop file onto Mail icon doesn't create new message

New to Snow-leopard and what used to work in Leopard... dragging a file from the finder onto the Mail icon would open a new message with that file as the attachment... doesn't seem to work in SL. Mail will come to the front, but, beyond that, nothing happens.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,
Works properly here, but remember seeing other reports. I will keep looking for earlier topics and resolution, if any, for those reporting.
Meanwhile, create a New User Account on your Mac, and as that New User open Mail and set up one email account as a test. If a POP account, set it to leave messages in the server after download.
See the following if not familiar with adding a new user account:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.5/en/8235.html
This will test the app itself vs your current User Account.

  • TB 27.0.1 (W7) will not "get new messages for all accounts"

I installed W7 with IE11and downloaded the latest TB (27.0.1) I have added five email accounts (more to be added) and none of them show up in the left pane - only global Inbox and two folders I created. I can get new messages manually one account at a time, but "get new messages for all accounts" (or Shift F5) does nothing. Most of this happed after MS installed well over 100 updates to my W7, but some of my accounts never did show up in the left pane even before the W7 updates. I have reinstalled TB - nothing changes.

Matt, I thank you for your kind and gracious response (Ok I will say this only once....). Be assured that I would never think of asking your advice again.
The crux of the matter has been resolved by checking the “Include this server when getting new mail” box in each account’s “Advanced” box under “Server Settings.” Now every time TB checks for new mail (including on startup), the process is displayed in the lower left portion of the window. I wish this had been explained to me more clearly early on.
Having all accounts in the left pane has become unimportant now that I can see the mail being checked on startup, periodically, and on Shift F5.
    I consider this thread closed.

  • Mail wont let me open new message window

    Hello,
So lately I have noticed a bug, I believe, in mail. At random times when I click on the new message icon nothing happens. However, if I close mail completely and reopen it, the new message window shows up. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks for the help

SUSSED THE NEW MAIL MESSAGE PROBLEM!!!
I am delighted to say that I resolved this one myself... Its on an IMAC 20", which I had also hooked up to a second display (although not switched on). What happened is that I turned to system Preferences, went to Displays, and changed the settings in the arrangement tab. This I thought would help, as perhaps the New Message window had been created, but was displayed somewhere else I could not see, and Guess what, there they all were! They had been elongated after the update to Leopard, and subsequently, were all sat there on the 'other' display.
I hope his helps with others with the same problem. (thats also why I did not have the problem on the laptop)
    Good luck to all.

  • Why won't Mail won't look for new messages without opening up the app?

Mail doesn't automatically look for new emails until I open up the app. I don't get notifications and a badge doesn't show up. I always have to open the application for it to search for new messages even though I have it set to search every minute.

    Mail>Preferences>General:
    Check your settings.

  • Mail taking Minutes to create New Messages, or replies

This afternoon Mail has decided I need to stop and smell the roses or something because suddenly creating a new message, or replying to a message takes several minutes.
If I click "new message" I get the beachball for more than 2 minutes (just timed it). Same thing happens if I reply to a message - more than 2 minutes of beachball.
Oddly, it's not pegging the processor as this happens (according to Activity Monitor) nor is anyone complaining to console.log or system.log.
    Very Strange.
    1.5 gHz PowerBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

This problem started happening today for me too. There is about a 2 minute delay to open a new message or reply to one.
Of note is that I did not yet apply the Quicktime 7.1.1 update! Therefore, I am skeptical that this problem is caused by QT 7.1.1.
I am now wondering if this has something to do with the date of June 1st, 06? That would be weird, but I see no other reason for a bunch of people suddenly having this problem.
I have looked at various log files, and seen nothing obvious, though I am getting a series of repeated warnings from mdimportserver, such as "Jun 1 22:59:58 Alsek mdimportserver[470]: * Failed to decode quoted-printable \13\10 data, treating as binary". Could spotlight be messing with Mail?
This is all very strange. Apple, please help.

  • Badge in Mail application lit, yet no new messages

On my MacBook I am trying to find the new messages in the Mail application because the badge is lit and shows 2. I've searched in all inboxes, highlighted all messages and had them marked as read, changed order first by sender, then by oldest date, then by latest date. Nothing changes. Checked notes, that didn't help either. Ideas?

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Mail quit mail and move the folder to the trash.
Next try to rebuild the inbox Mailbox > rebuild
Not sure if it will help but you can repair permissions.
If none of that helps quit mail then open ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist and drag the file to the trash.
Now reopen mail and remake your account.

  • Mail can't create a new message window ...?

    Hi,
Mail.app on my machine has been having a strange issue the past few days. Twice now, it has lost the ability to create a new message editing window.
If I click the new message button, or select "New Message" from the file menu, or click the "Reply" button on an existing message, etc. but no new message window ever appears. Quitting Mail.app and restarting, all the new message windows suddenly appear and everything is fine again ... until the next time.
Anyone else ever had Mail.app lose the ability to create new message editing windows like this?
    Machine: Powerbook G4 15" (Oct 2005, 1.67GHz)
    OS: 10.5.8
    Mail: 3.6 (936)
    All software updates applied
    Thanks!

That worked.  Now, why didn't I think of that!?
    Thanks.

  • Mail 4.1,not playing "new message" sound, and some sent mail not in outBox

For some reason, no "new message" sound is being played (has been like this for a few weeks), and some (~1/10) sent mail does not show up in the sent box (been like this for a long time).
And yes, preferences are set to "play new messages sound"
    Any ideas?

I would guess that's an IMAP account, go into mail preferences and select advanced tab for that account and uncheck use IDLE command and the new mail sound should work.
Not sure about the sent mail problem.
