Mail Mssgs not sent.

After loading Lion, I noticed outgoing mssgs are not sent, but end up in my Out box. try to resend, but no help.

Sent: checked box @ Store sent messages on the
server (and that's how I realized there was a
problem, since nothing new was showing up, despite
"sending" emails).
Not sure what you mean here. It could very well be that the problem only happens when storing the messages on the server and disabling that option (i.e. storing the messages locally) would "fix" it. Other than allowing the problem to happen, what does enabling that setting accomplish that helps you "realize" there is a problem?
Expand the Sent group in the mailboxes list by clicking the triangle on the left if necessary. Does a mailbox for the .Mac account appear there? If so, select it and choose Use This Mailbox For from the Mailbox menu. Do the options there appear selectable or grayed out?
How is your mailboxes list organized in Mail? Do you see a globe icon for the .Mac account at the bottom of the list? Do you see a Sent Messages mailbox with a standard folder icon anywhere in the list, maybe as part of the .Mac account group?
In the Finder, go to HOME/Library/Mail/Mac-username/. With that folder open, do Edit > Select All (⌘A), then Edit > Copy (⌘C), and paste it in your reply to this post, to let me see whether there is something amiss within your account folder.

  • Wf mails are not sent

    Hi
    Workflow mails are not sent.
The global preference was set as Do not send emails, we changed the same to mail with attachments. After that we ran resend failed or undelivered messages request. Even then the messages are not sent.
mail_status is null in wf_notifications table for all of these messages.
None of the activities are errored.
I appreciate if any body faced similar situation and can point me where things are going wrong.
    Thanks
    Prasad

The notifications that were sent when the preference was set to "Do not send mail" are not considered failed or undelivered. Those notifications at the time they were sent were not supposed to be sent as e-mail.. so not sent. If you want them to sent as e-mail, you will have to manually update the MAIL_STATUS to MAIL, run $FND_TOP/sql/wfntfqup.sql to rebuild the mailer queue. This will take care of sending all those e-mails.

  • E-Mail is not sent for "Expense report reimbursed"

    Hello,
When the expense report status changes to "Reimbursed", an email should be sent to the employee. But it is not being sent.
FYI, both in Business Configuration --> Fine Tune Activity and Personalize --> My Data setting of employee, the email option is enabled for E-Mail Type "Expense report reimbursed". But still email is not sent out when the expense report is reimbursed.
    Best regards,
    Hari

Thanks Joachim! Just to let others know, here is the reply I got in the incident.
Your tenant is with SAP Cloud for Travel and Expense release 1311. In this release your finding is valid that some system glitch causes the e-mail not to be sent for reimbursed expense report. This issue should have been fixed in release 1402. Because now the upgrade to release 1402 has begun and all tenants will be upgraded to 1402 in several weeks, we may not fix the issue on 1311 tenants. Anyway the main features of handling expense reports in the system should work as expected.
    Best regards,
    Hari

  • Sent mails are not sent

    Hello to all,
We encounter here a strange problem:
My daughter is trying to send mails with her homework to her english teacher.
The mail semms to be sent, it shows up in the sent folder. But it never arrives at her teacher.
I tried to lookup the problem:
Sent the same mail from the account of my daughter (@me.com) to my own (@mac) account: No go. Nothing arrived.
Then i cut the mail in different peaces: Paragraph for paragraph: No problem.
Paragraphs two by two: No problem... just one combination didn´t pass.
The two paragraphs one by one: no problem
The whole text as a pdf from pages: no problem.
    Any ideas or hints?
    I attach the text:
    Working with France: Intercultural communication
The text is about how to work with French people. It is an interview of Christoph Barmeyer, a professor of intercultural communication, founder of Culture Bridge, a consulting-company which focuses on French-German relationships, specially concerning management.
Christoph Barmeyer's first contact with France was at the age of five, at a Club Méditérranée where he had a real culture shock. Afterwards, he returned to France at the age of 16. He went to school in Paris and had a French girlfriend, too. Today, he is fascinated by its contrasts and contradictions: he considers France at the same time modern and traditional, slow and fast. Moreover, there's a high quality of live and a special lifestyle, based on strong personal relationships. According to Barmeyer, these opposites are what makes the country so alive.
First, there are several classic images of the French. On the one hand, the lazy French red-wine drinker and cheese eater, who is just enjoying life without working. On the other hand, arrogant political leaders, elegant women, striking workers and brilliant intellectual. These stereotypes were spread by medias and writers and are now well-known by many people. That's why some managers feel superior to the French concerning economic growth and industrial production. In fact, they think that the French are unable to do correct business, what's completely wrong: France has a high economic development, competitiveness and productivity. In addition, their annual gross national product per person is more important than the German or the Britain one.
Moreover, the French business is structured by two main forces. The first one is globalization: French companies, specially the CAC 40, are very exposed to competition. Most of them have an impressive external growth, such as Danone or L'Oréal. These companies know a worldwide success. The other main force is a special education system: the grandes écoles, which educate country's leaders, who are brilliant managers with significant social networks. Usually, graduates from Paris-based grandes écoles start their careers with a few years of public service, at state administration or a ministry in Paris, before entering a multinational. But they stay civil servants, what means that they are able to return to public service at any time: this is called pantouflage. A consequence is the formation of influential networks, also called "state nobility".
In addition, French communication is different from the German one, and mainly based on esprit, humour and irony. In fact, their communication style is very implicit, and management communication is indirect. Also, they have a great esprit de synthèse, what means that they often summarize essential things, without details. Furthermore, personal contact with people they know and trust is crucial to the French, what makes internet or email communication difficult: people who are close to them are more important than people who live far away.
What's more, meetings are for exchanging information and not for taking decisions. Those are made by key players high up in hierarch, before or after meetings. Also, French managers don't like to speak foreign languages, even in important situation, because their language is very linked to their identity: speaking English is like loosing their identity for them.
Furthermore, the French hierarchy is following the example of the "pyramid of people", what means that its power distance (people accept that power is distributed unequally) is more important than in other Western countries. Actually, the basis of the French state model is the mistrust of individual interests, uncontrolled market liberalism and globalization. Therefore, the central power of the state or a company is a crucial strategic player, and this strong hierarchy causes a pronounced centralization. Besides, the top of this pyramid are leaders, representing authority which regulates the power relations, with subordinates below who must pay attention not to be crushed by the top. As a consequence, the decisions are made top-down, and must be considered by different levels of the pyramid, what takes long time to be made.
Besides, the role of management is paradoxical. Despite the clear power relations, French managers are very people-oriented and need frequent personal contact, both to exchange information and to develop relationships with the subordinates. Some of them even "take the temperature" of their team by going around in the morning, having a short talk with everybody just to know how they feel this day. German or English managers, specially women, told they would prefer working for a French boss, called patron, because he's more interested in the person, has time for a talk and considers management as something human.
Barmeyer also talks about other factors influencing the French business world. First, there is the Sythème D, which is the "art of being flexible, using few resources with a lot of results, bending rules without breaking them". The D stands for débrouiller, what means unravel or disentangle. It's a sign of intelligence, because behind every formal system is an informal network of personal contacts, which you can use whenever you need it. That's what makes French business so efficient. The other factor is l'honneur, the honour, a key value in France, which influences social and working relationship, giving a social standing with obligations and rights to everybody. According to Philippe d'Irbane, today's relations are based on the society of the Ancien Régime, including nobility, clergy, bourgeoisie and farmers. This is quite different from the Anglo-Saxon or the German horizontal system, in which mutual relationships induce the duties and rights of the persons involved.
Finally, Christoph Barmeyer gives some advice about working with France. According to him, working interculturally can be a nice experience, but you should always remain that people may work in a different way. Once you've overcome stereotypes, you can plenty appreciate and discover the new culture, but you should respect the logic of honour, build personal trust and be interested in French culture, including Art, food and history.
Personally, I agree with Christoph Barmeyer in all of the points, specially concerning implicit communication. Nevertheless, the French hierarchy is very complex, and sometimes less like the "pyramid" than in Germany. For instance, my father told me that concerning the hierarchy in the medical departments (Abteilung ?), the French system is more "horizontal" than the German one.
It is the combination of the two paragraphs marked here in bold italic that doesn´t pass.
    Thanks for any help

I have not used Internet mail to much but DrClap is correct and everyone using Internet mail for the first time seems to struggle with this same problem.
I do not know if I have a solution but here are some ideas that may help you. If you have access to the account that receives the Undeliverable Mail message, you could search through the messages (using JavaMail and filters) and parse the Undeliverable Mail messages looking for ones you have sent (or set up a dummy "From" account so that it is likely only to have the Undeliverable Mail). Using some servers you could route the Undeliverable Mail to a special e-mail address that you search through.
Having said that: the problem is when to search, how long to search for a specific message, who to notify, and what action to take. This will have to be application specific but is probably NOT trivial.
Also, it is possible that a background or batch process could be used to find the Undeliverable Mail and populate a database or file that can be search at the application startup (or whatever).
I know this is not much but I hope it helps.
I will be curious to see if there is some other (standard or at least well understood) way of doing handling this problem. My current applications which use JavaMail do not have critical messages so I am ignoring this for now.

  • Mail is not sent to approver

Workflow for approval is working fine but no email is sent to approver in SOST when the shopping cart is ordered. However, there is a message for approval in Inbox in SRM 5.0.
I have check marked all options for all roles in the Shopping Cart scenario in SPRO->u2026->Determine recipient of notifications. Mail is set up in SCOT with Internet Address Area set to *. On the users in SU01 I am only using internal email addresses where communication is set to Email (could I also use Remote Email?). I have set the FORWARD_WI=X attribute in ppoma_bbp for all users. In SO16 I have set the radio button for "Send to users home address".
In SOST I can see mails when a SC has been changed, rejected, and approvedu2026 but not any mail notification when a SC is sent for approval.
Do you have a solution or any sugestions to fix this problem?
    Best regards
    Niels

    Hi,
In SRM 5.0,report RBBP_NOTIFICATION_OFFAPP is used scehdule offline approval mails .Please see whether this program has been scehduled to send the offline mails.
Also goto tcode SBWP and create a test mail and see whether you can see the entry for that mail in tcode SOST.
Please see the foll link for more deatils:

You need to check the settings mentioned in the link above before you scehdule the report for snding the approval mails to the external email ID's of the approvers.
The job mentioned are only for sending the approval mails. To send the requester notification messages to external mail box (instead of SRM inbox),see the foll thread for more pointers:

    Dear all
I have created a subscription for a Folder
    Settings are
    Notification On: Any Change
    Frequency: On Every Event
    Expires: Never
Scope: All Items in this Folder
I am getting the notification in my UWL, but email is not coming.
When I try to send the link to document using the "Send" Option the mail is going.
My requirement is to notify a person by mail when a new item is created or uploaded in the subscribed folder
Please help me in Solving this
    Regards
    Aparnna

    Hi Aparna,
I think that the problem in your case is that "Mail" Property corresponding to your users is missing in LDAP..
you have a look on it by following steps, this May work.
    1) Install Softtera LDAP Browser 2.6 on your systen, open it
    2) Select your Location under Browser Root for eg Pune Mumbai etc
    3) then it will ask you LDAP Password
    4) then Select your Location Sub node For eg Mumbaiodc under Location node Selected earlier
5)Now press Cltr -F for search. In Filter Type there sn= Last Name of the user you want to search press enter
6)Selct your User from the Result found.
    7) Now here you will find lots of properties here you have to serach Mail Property .
8)The User who are are missing this Mail Property in LDAP will trouble you....
    Hope this Works
    Please Reward Points if helpfull.

  • Notification mails are not sent using RSWUWFMLEC

    Hi Experts,
We are using SRM 4.0 and we have an issue with Notification mails,
The report RSWUWFML2 for sending notification mail to outlook for work item, which we have been using .
We have recently started using the report RSWUWFMLEC for sending the offline approval mails to users who have the attribute Forward_WI.
We have given privelage only to few of the users to approve through offline.
So, the report RSWUWFMLEC sends them the offline approval mail.
We also have the report RSWUWFML2 which needs to send the notification mail to all the users, irrespective of the Forward_WI attribute.
As we are using both the reports simultaneously we are facing the problem.
Can you suggest a way so that we can send approval mails to the users who have attribute u201CForward_WIu201D checked and notification mails to all users by using report : RSWUWFMLEC
    Thanks,
    Sandy.

    Hello Sandeep,
Using both RSWUWFML2 and RSWUWFMLEC reports, just give a different job suffix (selection text P_JOBSUF ) using a variant for each report: by default, it is '2' for both.
In this way, in SWU_WLSCAN table, you will have one entry for each report (field CURR_NUMB ). So, last date and time for report execution will not be the same for both reports, which cause behavior you described.
    Regards.
    Laurent.

    Hi,
We are sending emails through the javax.mail class in our application,
    basically
it works fine, however I was wondering how I could do one of the two:
    1. validate an email address to be correct (existing, not using the java

    2. receive a notification about the undeliverable email when it happens (if
it goes back to weblogic at all, I think I saw a message on the console).

  • Rules work for incoming mail but not sent?

I'm sorry if I'm being particularly dim, or if that answer to this should be easily discovered. I've looked and can't sort it out. I have several groups set up in Address book. I have a folder in Mail to which all mail from some group is moved via a rule. I would like the mail that I send to those groups, or individual members of the groups, also sent to that folder.
I have tried by adding to my rule, "To" "contains" "person's name" and "To" "contains" "person's e-mail address", with the actual name and e-mail address typed in the third field.
    Am I missing something?
Thank you in advance for any help.

    Am I missing something?
Yes. If you open Mail Help and read the articles that explain how rules work, you'll see that they're applied automatically to incoming messages only. You may want to take a look at the following thread for workarounds:

  • Mail not sent from iphone mail app

I tried to send a mail through the mail app through my gmail account. Was shocked that the mail was not sent nor I can find it in any of "sent" or "draft" boxes. And the very disappointing thing about this problem is that there was no errors, and I just knew about 12 hours later from the expected recipient that he did not receive my mail.
    #SHOCKING
I hate iOS 7, thus I mat start to hate iPhone and Apple.

Has the Mobile Me account been set up on your iPhone as POP rather than IMAP? If it has been set up as POP then any message sent will not be mirrored. Your Mobile Me account should also be configured as IMAP on all your devices in order to see those messages in your Sent Items folder.
The idea of IMAP is to be device independent such that whatever you do is mirrored on all your devices as they each synchronize with Mobile Me. I suppose you could view the Mobile Me "cloud" as being the main repository. If you delete a message from your Inbox via your iPhone, the next time you connect your Mac that message will not appear in the associated Inbox in Mail.
    Does that make sense?
