MAIL My typeface keeps changing itself

I have set my typeface to heleticae Neue LIGHT in my mail preferences and although that stays there, the body of mail email gets systematically changed to Helvetica "Regular" I like the Light version because it is the same typeface as my signature  and I am in the interior design industry..
Anyone has the same problem? any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Paulin

Mine switches to my daughters info by itself also.  My wife, daughter and I are all logged into my iCloud account on each of our iPhones (plus my iMac and MacBook Air) so that the "Find iPhone" app will show the location of each of our devices.  "My Info" never switches to my wife's information, just my daughters?????
I'm now trying the "Don't Allow Changes" function under Settings/General/Restrictions/Allow Changes/Accounts - to see if that will keep it from automatically changing.
Will try to report back if this works.  I do not know what triggers the automatic change.

  • Mail Window Size Keeps Changing

I've had this erratic bug ever since upgrading to snow leopard:
I generally keep mail open, and just have the window closed, and let DockStar do some work in terms of notifications.
Problem is that my window size keeps on changing. When I click on the mail icon to open it up (I always resize to full screen), the mail program opens up in a very small window, probably about 500x600. Sometimes it opens in full screen as I want, other times it opens to this minimized view.
It is very hard to exactly reproduce, but happens probably 1/4 to 1/5 of the time at least.
The problem with this is that it also resizes the left panel so EVERY TIME I open it up, I have to resize both the window and the left bar panel.
I found a complaint that sounded similar that had the user remove the preference file, then recreate it, but this hasn't solved the problem.
Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to fix it?!?!

    Here's something I've noticed:
    1. When I uninstalled Dockstar, all problems went away. There's definitely something going on here.
    2. When I reinstalled Dockstar, I am now only having problems with Mail remembering that one of my mailboxes is set to "organize by thread." (I had this problem before in addition to the window resizing). However, the window resizing problem seems to be gone (for today, at least).
    Here's what's different:
    1. I installed GrowlMail after they updated to a 64bit preference pane. (Not sure how this would impact it, but who knows...)
    2. Last time, I just installed the newest copy of Dockstar over the old one. This time, I uninstalled the old one and reinstalled Dockstar cleanly.
Do you feel like verifying if this is true for you too?

  • Acrobat 9 keeps changing itself to be the default PDF reader

    Hello all,
I have CS4 installed including Acrobat Pro. I prefer to use Foxit reader as my default for reading PDF files. However, when I change the default program for PDF files to be Foxit, Acrobat changes it back to itself. I am running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. How do I tell Acrobat to stop changing the default program? Thanks.
    Jerry

Just wondering if there is anyone who can at least point me in the right direction to find the answer to this.

  • Mail "sort" choice keeps changing

    Hello,
I recently installed Snow Leopard and some updates of other applications, but now every time I go into Mail (even if I've only read a message or two), the sort order I've chosen, by "date received") is changed to by "subject." It's really annoying. Any idea about why it's happening and what to do to lock in my choice?
    Thanks!

  • ICloud keychain credit expiration date keeps changing itself

For some reason, iCloud Keychain will randomly change the expiration date for my saved credit cards. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

Launch the Settings app from the Home screen of your iPhone or iPad.
Scroll down and tap on Safari.
Under the first section labeled General, tap on Passwords & AutoFill.
At the very bottom, make sure the Credit Cards option is turned to On and then tap on Saved Credit Cards directly beneath it.
Now tap on Add Credit Card.
Enter the credit card information and then tap Done in the upper right hand corner.

  • Router reference keeps changing itself  **even after locked

    Greetings!
my partners ibook is possessed! We recently changed the router numbers when we got new setups here at the shop and we had to change the router number to xxx.xxx.xxx.3 instead of .1. Every time my partner steps away from his computer for some reason the configuration of his computer reverts back to .1. Every time he sits down to work he has to go through the whole configuration screen where he chooses "manually" and enters his IP address (which always satys the same) and the new router number and then changes it back to "with DHCP" and then the router number is .3. Then he clicks on the lock mechanism at the bottom left of the config screen to stop any further changes ... and then he can get on the internet. But then he walks away for half an hour and when he returns he cannot connect and he has to go through the whole rigamarole again. Why is this happening to him. He is 10.4.11 and it is an ibookG4.
How can we made the settings for that router stay at .3 and stop erverting to the .1?
    thanks
    YIPES :: kt

    New problem now.
Now he can't get onto the internet if we set it up that way.
We change it to manually, we put in the IP address, and the router and he does not have access to the internet. He needs it to do ordering and the like so it is a thing he steps over to at least ten times a day.
    BUT
if we go through the whole rigamarole and he changes everything in the "manually" screen and then he changes the drop down menu to "with DHCP" the router address stays at .3 and then he is able to access the internet. BUT it changes after a few minutes back to .1 and he has to do it again and again. He always clicks the "lock changes" button but somehow it still changes.
Is there a preferences pane I should delete somewhere?

  • Mail 5.0 keeps changing my "rules" settings

I have set my rules in Mail to send my mail to either an "archive inbox" or "archive sent" folder after 30 days. Every so often, I will realize that mail has unchecked one or both my rules in preferances without my knowlegde. I will re-check the rule box and it stays that way for a while then it automatically unchecks one of them again! (I also have to reset the "to mailbox:" each time in preferances). This is happening on both my iMac and Macbook Pro. I switched to Apple Mail just before upgrading to lion so I cannot say weather this is specifically a Lion issue. I was using Entourage before switching to Mail. This is just one of several quirky things I am experiencing with Mail. If it wasnt for the easy syncing with all my iOS devices, I'd switch back to Entourage. (I am using MobileMe, if it is a poblem with MM I cannot figure it out?) Thanks!

Hi. I am having a similar problem, except my window is about one month.
Some differences. You mentioned that you have another computer configured with POP. POP does have a setting to "remove downloaded emails after x". If POP is removing the emails from the server, your IMAP would reflect this. Check Mail > Preferences > Accounts on your POP configured machine.

  • ADSUser password keeps changing itself

    Hello,
we do not have the password that was set during installation for the ADSUser anymore and have changed it.
We are printing from ABAP WebDynpros and everything is working fine.
All of a sudden though the password or the ADSUser changes on its own, after resetting it it works fine again.
The user does not get blocked or is required to change the password and is set as Technical user in the UME.
Still it changes on it's own - anyone had that before?
    Regards,
    Andi

    HI,
thanks for the answers so far.
I am back at this issue now and it is still happening.
Just to test I deleted the ABAP user and it is still working, so it must use the UME user, whcih is also apparent because the password I set for it does actually change because I can not logon with the one I set anymore once it happens.
However, the datastore is defo ABAP.
Further input is very much appreciated but I will also raise a message with SAP now.
    Regards,
    Andi

  • OS X 10.4.6 Powerbook G4 - SMTP & Pop User Name is changing ITSELF!

Just as the subject says, I have several accounts in mail. It seems like every couple of days some of my accounts seem to change their outgoing mail server and the pop user name by itself. The outgoing mail server, which should be mail.clippergroupent.com is changing itself to something like mail.sbc-global.com (my DSL provider). Also, the username, usually: [email protected] changes itself to name%clippergroupent.com.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    OK, first try the following:
Open Preferences from within the Mail program and note the exact settings for your email accounts.
    Quit Mail
Drag the following file to the desktop:
    your home directory / Library / Preferences / com.apple.mail.plist
    Restart Mail
Re-install your mail settings for at least one account
These actions will not interfere with your mailboxes, it will simply create a new plist preference file when you re-start Mail.
If that did not help, you can place back the .plist file so you have all your account settings back.

  • ITunes 7 equaliser keeps changing to 'Bass Reducer'.

Since I downloaded iTunes 7 - every couple of days the Equaliser keeps changing itself to the 'Bass Reducer' setting.
Anyone else had this issue or know of a solution?
    Thanks.

The only solution to EQ problems I have found is to go back to iTunes 6.0.5.

  • Desktop changing itself

Hello. I am having trouble with system preferences. I have an image set as my desktop but it keeps changing itself. I do not have the "Change Picture" box checked, yet the image is randomly changing itself. Do you know how I can stop this from happening?
    Thank you.

I have the same exact issue. I cannot find anything to help me on this...were you able to figure it out?

  • Font settings keep changing when I restart Mail

I've noticed over the past few days that whenever I restart Mail, my font settings keep changing, so I have to keep going back in and adjusting them.
Anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it?
I did a search in this forum, but didn't see anything about this.
    Thanks!

I should clarify that this happens after I restart my computer, then open Mail. If I close Mail, then reopen it, without restarting, then this does not happen.

  • IMail keeps changing outgoing mail server to one that is offline

Since installing Lion, my outgoing mail server keeps changing to [email protected], which always shows up as offline.  I keep changing it to stmp.me.com:deannanel and check "use only this server" to get my mail sent.
Next time I try to send mail, the outgoing server has changed back and mail cannot be sent.
    What is going on?

IMAP is enabled at GoogleMail (Login with WebBrowser) and you have read the installation manual? Normaly it works fine, creating the Google Account with Internet accounts from system preferences.
Like the incoming server, all outgoing server must have different usernames (your email addresses) and passwords. Check the correct assignment for each email account.

  • Mail's column widths keep changing

I know similar topics have been posted, but most of them quickly digress to other issues. My issue is that column widths in mailboxes keep changing. This happens if I go from an Inbox folder to a Sent folder and back to the Inbox folder. It also happens after I do a search.
My Inbox mailbox columns are: flag, unread (which you have to have), attachments, from, subject, date received, date sent, size. The mailbox is sorted by date received.
If I change to a sent mailbox then go back to my Inbox, the date received column is much wider than I set it. If I do a search then go back to my Inbox, the attachments column is much wider and the date received and date sent columns have changed widths as well.
I seems as if this should be a fairly simple task for mail to save column widths for each mailbox. Other email programs do it? Why can't Mail?

Which mailboxes are we actually talking about here? Are individual account mailboxes that lose their viewing settings or are the Inbox, Sent, etc. aggregates that lose them? If the latter, that could mean there is something wrong with the preferences file, and I don't know of a way to try to fix the problem other than re-creating that file:
    1. Quit Mail.
    2. Make a backup copy of the HOME/Library/Mail folder, just in case something goes wrong. You can do this in the Finder by dragging the folder to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down, for example. This is where all your mail is stored.
    3. In the Finder, go to HOME/Library/Preferences/. Locate the file com.apple.mail.plist and move it to the Desktop (to be deleted if this fixes the problem).
You'll have to set up your non-Mac accounts from scratch all over again. If given the option to import existing mailboxes or something like that, don't. Just enter the account information and Mail will automagically rediscover the data in HOME/Library/Mail/ when done.
You'll also have to re-configure most of your settings in Mail > Preferences. For spam-related security reasons, the first thing you should do is go to Preferences > Viewing and disable Display remote images in HTML messages if it's enabled.
