Mail no longer syncs, MobileMe was fine, iCloud won't let iPod Touch sign in

4.2.1 , it's a 4 year old iPod Touch, mail synced using Mobile Me until recently. Now can't even get it to sign in in settings.

Pretty much the the email that I used (but didn't verify) to create my iCloud account was hacked and now I can't remove it from my iCloud account due to the iCloud password also being changed by the same person and the fact I had "Find my iPhone" app on my phone also??? I had to change my iTunes email as well but that was far easier so yeah :S.
Please help. I live in NZ, out in the country, so reception is rare and so is getting into the nearest town that has an Apple Store.

If you truly change your existing Apple ID's email address to a new email address, follow these instructions: iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud

i can receive mail on my ipod touch and through the icloud web site, BUt I cannot receive mail on my mac directly any more. There is an exclamation point on my mail in box and also an ! on .mac.
Can anyone help me with settings so I can receive mail again directly on my mac?

Once you get the stuff in the iTunes library of you new computer let iTunes erase your iPod and replace its contents with what is now in your iTunes library.

Unless you can update it to iOS5, you can't. Connect it to iTunes and find out if it can be updated.

To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
The sync the music to your iPod by:
iTunes 11 for Windows: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad

ICloud Account on 2 iPod Touches Question

So my friend uses my iTunes account for getting some apps that I have and for other things. Something happened and now he has my iCloud account on his iPod Touch (4th Generation). I want to remove my iCloud account from his iPod Touch but I'm not sure about a few things.
1. If I go to Settings>iCloud>Delete Account will it delete my iCloud account or will it just remove my iCloud account from that device?
2. If I go to Settings>iCloud>Delete Account will it remove all the data on the apps? Will it remove some apps? Will it remove some songs? Will it remove some data? Will it remove anything?

Settings>iCloud>Delete Account will only delete the account from the device, not from iCloud. Devices still using the account will not be effected by this.
It will not remove any apps, music or other purchased media from the device.
When you tap Delete Account, you will be given the option to Keep or Delete the iCloud data (if any) from the device. If your friend was syncing contacts with your iCloud account, for example, he/she would want to choose to Keep the data; choosing Delete will delete all synced data from the device.

You can't back up to iCloud until you update to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to back up your iPod on your computer using iTunes. Update iTunes on your computer to the latest version, then connect your iPod to your computer, open iTunes, if iTunes give you a pop-up asking if you want to update your iPod, decline. Then click on the name of your iPod in iTunes, go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases to transfer any purchased media to your iTunes library. Next, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click on Back Up Now to back up your iPod on your computer.
When it's done backing up, click on Check for Update (or Update) on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings. Allow your iPod to update, and leave it connected to your computer. At the end, it will restart and give you the option to restore to the iTunes backup you made earlier. Choose this option to restore your backup and sync your apps and other iTuens media to your phone.

For Note only, just use the same Apple ID for Settings>iCloud make sure that Notes is turned on in Settings>iCloud.

ICloud won't let me change my logon email address

I reverted to an old backup and now iCloud wants to use an old email address for my login. I can't logon as a result and I can't figure out how to change it. Game Center, iTunes, etc. are all using the right one. But iCloud won't let me change it. I have tried to delete the account, but it won't let me unless I logon first (which I can't do). I have tried restoring network settings, privacy settings, and content settings. I have also tried to revert back to a more recent backup, but I can't until I turn on the "Find my iPhone" function, which require me to login to iCloud. Help!

I can't access the iCloud settings on my iPod Touch

I am trying to set up an iCloud accout for my iPod Touch, but cannot access the appropriate section of my iPod's settings. I have iOS 6 (although it didn't work on iOS 5 either). The iCloud settings are grayed out, and when I go to the iTunes and App Stores settings menu, I cannot enter anything into the login box.
