Mail not receiving emails but sending them ok. It says updated at 11:28 but that was six hours ago and it won't update.
my Mail is not receiving on my iPad but is sending fine. Emails are sent and received fine on my iPhone and when accessing the account directly through safari. It says updated at 11:28 but that was six hours ago and it is stuck there.
i have tried restarting multiple times with no luck.
Have you tried signing out of your Mail account and then back in again?

Have just installed Mavericks and restarted the MacBook Pro. That was 3 hours ago and after logging in, I got my wallpaper and dock, but none of my desktop icons, just the spinning coloured wheel. It's been like that for 2 hours. Is this normal? What should I do, please?

Try booting whilst holding down the Shift key - this will allow you to boot into Safe Mode, disabling third-party kernel extensions, etc. Your Mac will be slow to boot and will operate sluggishly. That's normal. If you can get in using Safe Mode then you have some start-up item that doesn't play well with Mavericks.

I have been sent an email saying my podcast was accepted and will be up on iTunes in a few hours. That was 5 hours ago. How long should this process take?
There's no fixed time. If it's been accepted - presumably you've been given a URL? - it should appear reasonably soon. However it can dake some days before it turns up in the search results. The podcast image, if you have one, may also take some days to appear.

i purchased a year of adobe cc today. The screen came up to tell me it was processing my payment, not to hit the "back" button or refresh the page as it could take a few minutes. That was 7 hours ago. I contacted the help chat department and was told it would take 24 hours to process. Is this normal?? Why would the screen tell me "a few minutes" if it's actually 24 hours? Has anyone else had this problem? I am so tempted to just refresh the page and try my luck with my credit card canceling a second payment should it happen. THAT might be faster.

Why cant I receive emails or send them?
All of a sudden I am unable to recieve emails or send them. First I was unable to recieve them and now I can no longer send them. I get a pop up window telling me the mail server is not responding. and to verify that I have entered the correct acount info in mail settings. I have tried this numerous times. Any advice?? Mail not receiving emails with attachments

I'd appreciate any suggestions in relation to the following.
My wife and I both run computers from the one account, Mail on her PowerBook logging in through my name and password. Until recently, we have had no problems at all. However, it has come to light that my wife has not been receiving emails with attachments for some time. To test this, my wife sent an email with an attachment to her home email address from work, and copied it to me. I received the email and the attachment on my PC; my wife's Mac did not receive the email. I then forwarded the email with the attachment to her computer; this was successful. This would suggest some problem with her Mail account on the Mac. However, the configuration has not been changed. Is it possible for it just to stop working for some reason?I'm using a PC for my email at the moment. I'm not sure if all my wife's emails have been downloaded. However, Mail has made a Home/Mail/MessageUidsAlreadyDowloaded file. This was created when I sent an email to test what happened. I was unable to make Mail download all her emails, so I guess they must have gone from the server. She has a different email address to mine, but it's run from the same ISP account; as I said, she logs in, automatically, through Mail to her email. I have contacted the ISP about it, but they are unable to see any trace of emails that colleagues have sent my wife and which she sends home to herself. All of these files happen to have attachments, but I cannot see any setting of Mail which would account for them being rejected. Also, I can't be entiurely sure that only emails with attachments don't get through; there may be others, 'unattached'.

Mail not receiving emails since upgrading to Maverick
I have been having nothing but issues using the Mail program since upgrading to Maverick earlier this year. I can't get my incoming emails to sync normally (I have multiple different accounts set up from different servers), sometimes they come in with no issues and other times they don't show up for hours or after I manually restart the program/computer. I know there is a huge delay because they come in on my phone and iPad without any issues. This is a huge problem for me since I use Mail for all my work emails and I can't log into all the different web applications easily. Can anyone give me any suggestions?? I've tried taking the accounts offline and then resyncing them and sometimes it works but lately it isn't doing the trick either. Here is my mail version I'm using : Version 7.3 (1878.6) and I'm in OSX 10.9.5 I haven't upgraded Yosemite because my last upgrade to Maverick was such a headache... Please help!!!

I recently purchased an iPhone so I wanted to change my Mac Mail from a POP account to IMAP since I will be checking on both devices. The issues is after I have done this I no longer receive emails to Mac Mail. I am able to send, but not receive. I receive new emails to my iPhone no problem and it has the exact same settings as the IMAP account for Mac Mail. The steps I have taken to try and correct:
Deleted the POP account
Deleted and re-added the IMAP account
Connection Doctor shows green on both incoming and outgoing e-mail
Created a new user account with the IMAP account
Repaired Disk permissions
Deleted the Keychain password for the IMAP account
Reset the password for the e-mail account
I did find I am able to receive emails when I perform "Get Account Info" specifically the Quota Limits tab. I have to manually do this each time I want to check and receive new e-mail. Also selecting the Rebuild option does the same. Each time I want to get my e-mail I have to perform one of these two options. New emails are not automatically received, or selecting the Get Mail does not retrieve new messages.
Any other ideas, I am completely out of things to try. Thanks in advance.I have the same problem. I receive mail just fine on my iPhone and on the other Macs in my home. I only have a problem with my MacBook Pro. It is also sporatic. Some e-mails come thru. Some do not unless I restart Mail or take all accounts offline then back online. The same things happens on other networks when I am away from home. Frustrating.

Mail not receiving emails after being delivered on iphone (still on server)
Mail is not receiving all of my emails once they have been delivered on my iphone. It seems to do this selectively. I logged into my account on the web and the emails are still there (as I have not requested emails to be deleted form the server). Please help!
On the G5, Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...

I was able to text my friend to her number but now that I have updated my iPhone it shows that it's an iMessage when I text her to the same number, I know that with iMessages you have to turn on your Internet but I'm texting her to her same number so it shouldn't be an iMessage. Can someone please help?

I have been trying to re-download itunes. This is in an effort to try to recover my new iphone 5s which after the latest update, was put into recovery mode. When I connected to itunes, I was given the message that I couldn't recover the phone. So, support suggested that I re-download itunes. The installation seems stuck on the "Running Package Scripts" page. It says it only has about a minute left to complete this process - however that was over 2 hours ago! Help! What can I do next?
Disconnect the iPhone from your Mac.
Shut down your Mac, wait about ten seconds then restart.
Then try downloading iTunes > Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes Now
Do not reconnect the iPhone until iTunes is installed.
If that didn't help, the startup disk may need repairing.
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utillities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If DU reports errors, start up from your Mac install disc to make repairs.

Not receiving email when sending large number of records using a FM?

I am using the function module " SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 " to send email....
When a single record is there.. or around 5-6 records are there... email is coming successfully...
But when there are more records..say around 100, the email is not coming... I checked SOST transaction and the status there is in red..and the error message is " Internal error: SO_OBJECT_MIME_GET Exception: 2 ".........
What could be the reason behind this problem....... ??

The last email I received was last night. Not getting any emails coming in on any device (iphone 4, macbook pro & mail). I can send email and that works fine, but nothing is coming in. Anyone else having this problem too?
It seems as though somehow the culprit is apple mail. Right now I have it closed and my messages seem to be coming through in both icloud.com and on my iphone. Tonight I think I will reset apple mail and hopefully that solves the problem. Have you ever had a similar problem?

Mail not Receiving Emails from Hotmail
Dear all,
I am using MacBook Pro, Intel Core i5, 4GB, OSX Yosemite 10.10.1 and my Mail Version is 8.1.
I am trying to import mail from my Hotmail account but it is not working properly. I have setup Mail to Pop (pop3.live.com) , removing the messages from the server after receiving mail.
However, after a few days using this configuration, there are still 39.000 messages left in the Hotmail server and the newest messages on my Mail software are dated on 25/09/2013, which means it is not getting messages from the Hotmail server as it should.
What could be happening here?
