Mail not working on my iPad and iPhone

Both devices say my user name and password are not correct. They are and I have reset. Still my mail won't connect to iCloud

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over. See if there are duplicates, should be one for Incoming & one for Outgoing.

If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

    You can always try to reset your device and see if it helps matters any:
    Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
    1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
    2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
    3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

    You don't input the information in manually for iCloud mail. It is automatically set up for you when you sign into iCloud via System Preferences and choose the Mail checkbox. Sign out of iCloud or deselect Mail in iCloud preferences. Open Mail's preferences and choose accounts tab. If iCloud account still exists in the list, delete it. Sign back into iCloud or check the box for mail. The account will be auto created for you.

    I'm not sure why this is happening, but I think I'm seeing the same thing. Many times when I get an email on the iPad or iPhone with a picture attached, I don't see the picture but instead just a placeholder icon.
    I have found a work around though to at least see the picture. If I forward it and include the attachment, I see the picture in the outgoing email. I can even save the image from the sending email if I really don't want to send it. If i do send it to myself, chances are I will see the picture in the email when I receive it even though it's just a resend of the original.
    weird.

    Restart your AirPort Base Station or other router if that's what you have. Unplug it and allow a moment or two for it to reset before plugging it back in again.
    If that does not work, try resetting your network settings: on the iPad and iPhone, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, select your network then "Forget this Network". Select the network again, provide its password, and verify you can connect.
    If that does not work, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Select your network again as above.
    If that does not work, "hard reset" your AirPort Base Station, assuming you are using one and not some third party product. You will need to reconfigure it using AirPort Utility.

    Try resetting your wireless router by unplugging the router from the power for about 30 seconds then plugging it back in.

    One day, my ipad and iphone pick up my emails (.mac account) from icloud just fine. the next day, I recieved error messages that say my user name and password are not accurate. I removed the icloud program on both devices and added it back on to both devices and get the same message. I logged into icloud from my Mac and while I can log in, it times out when I select email and wont load the email there either. Any Suggestons?

    I am having the same problem; it started about 24-36 hours ago.
    I know my ID/PW combo are correct because I can access all other aspects of iCloud except mail.
    iPhone -- returns incorrect ID / Password
    iPad -- Same
    Mail.app on Mac -- returns incorrect password error
    icloud.com -- allows me to log in and use all functions accept mail.  When I try to use mail it stays on a white screen for about 60 seconds then returns a dialogue box that indicates a server error.
    I contacted Apple and they placed my iCloud account into something called "Troubleshooting" mode.  They generated a new strong password and sent it on to "Engineering."
    I suspect there are a small number ofo users like you who are affected with the same problem I am.  Too small a number for it to be reported as an outtage.  I suggest you call Apple and open a case to have your mail investigaged.

  • HT3819 Home Sharing stopped working on my iPad and iPhone

    My iTunes is installed on a Windows 7 computer and is connected to a linksys switch that is connected to a wireless linksys router.
    My iPads and iPhones are connected to the wireless router.
    They are unable to connect to the Home Share even after signing off of Home Share and then logging back in.
    When you open the Videos app on iPad or iPhone it says "No Videos" and does not seem to be attempting to find any content on the network.
    This was working earlier in the day yesterday but has stopped for some reason.
    I have an AppleTV 3 and another iPad that are working just fine and are able to see and play Music/Videos/Movies... just fine.

    Just to provide more information:
    I have recently DeAuthorized all computers and then authorized the computer that I am trying to home share with. That didn't help at all.
    I only have one computer Authorized now and 2 iOS devises authorized.
    The AppleTV 3 is connected to the same linksys switch as the iTunes computer. It is able to see the Home Share and play Music/Videos/Movies...
    The working iPad is connected to the same linksys wireless router that the linksys switch is connected to.
    It is able to see the Home Share and play Music/Videos/Movies...
    All my other iOS devises are having issues.

    I've been trying to fix this for a few hours now, and getting increasingly frustrated. My ipad and Iphone suddenly dont share iMessage information.
    Both devices use the same email. I can send an iMessage from my ipad. This pops up on my iPhone. Cool. The reverse doesnt work. Anything I send from my phone keeps to my phone only. Anything coming in goes to my phone if its sent from there or from my iPad if its sent from there. 
    More frustating is this used to work fine.
    This makes my ipad un-usable for work. Apple seems to make getting any support stageringly difficult. The Apple site actually told me there was no walk in service available in my area. Im in central London!
    Please help.

  • Pages not updating iCloud between iPad and IPhone

    Can somebody please help?
    My Pages app won't stream the current documents to my iPhone using iCloud .
    I've tried everything I could possibly do. I've deleted the Pages app off my iPhone and started again. It just won't update the current documents that reflect on my iPad.
    It just has the arrows pointing upwards on the top right hand corner of quite a few documents. This is suggesting that there is no Internet connection when there is. I've tried it over WiFi and on 2 separate Bluetooth pairings with 2 iPhones. Each time it is connected with the Internet but the arrows still suggest otherwise.
    I have turned every possible iCloud on in every area. Turned them off then on, reset my phone from scratch doing a clean install not using a previous back up. Still didn't work...  Then going back and resetting using a previous back up... Still didn't work :(
    I have a 6 month old Mac Mini, the latest iPhone  5 and one month old iPad 4 with the current software updates.....

    I believe you are misunderstanding.  You don't sync apps between iPad and iPhone, and iCloud has nothing to do with any of this.  There is a setting in Settings -> Store where you can set each device to automatically download NEW apps, meaning that when you buy a new app on one device, the other automatically downloads it.  However, this is for new downloads only.
    For your existing apps, you can simply connect each device to your computer and move the desired apps to it in iTunes.  Or you can go to the App Store and re-download those apps.
