Mail notification from SAP to Outlook

Hi Experts,
I have developed a program in SE38 to send a mail notification to outlook mail from SAP.Can I use this program in standard Tcode IW21to generate a mail notification at the time of saving data?In IW21 only notification is sent to SAP inbox.
Can anyone provide me the steps to insert this code in IW21 Tcode?

Thanx for ur valuable suggestion.I added my code in QQMA0014 enhancement and while saving,a notification mail is sant to outlook but I am getting the following Error message.
Object does not exist (status management)
Message no. IM258
Diagnosis
This refers to an error in central status management.
Task status
The central status management connection at task level will only be supported from Release 3.0.
For this reason, no task status is available for statuses created before changing to Release 3.0, and status change is therefore also not possible.
Procedure
In the case of task statuses of notifications in releases prior to 3.0:
When you save a notification you can create a status for the tasks.
In the case of notification or task statuses for notifications from Release 3.0:
Please refer to your system administrator.

Thanks for your response. It was a simple sent mail step. So I send it directly to the e-mail id of the same user. Simple thing clicked to my mind little late.

User not able to receive an emaik from SAP to Outlook.

User is not able to receive an email from SAP to Outlook.In SCOT the configuration to receive email has been set up and all other users are able to receive the emails except one user. Even the email address of the user is correctly entered in the user master record. What is the authorization required to be setup for this user from security perspective ?

We have configured the SMTP server in our system to send out mails, but we donot know the configurations for receiving mails. [ We are not using SAP exchange connector (is it needed?) ]
I have read the note 455140 and 54617.
But i am stuck on , What are the configurations to be done on the MS Exchange Server 2003 for redirecting the mails received in the inbox of a particular user to the SAP system.
The note says it has to be configured to redirect mail to <hostname>: <port> But where exactly do we define the routing rules.
If anyone has a detailed document on what are the configurations involed in receiving mails, Please send it.

FM TO send a mail from SAP to user with attachment in .csv format but the data isnot getting displayed correctly ...
I thnk it is competely displayed in ASCII format ..

How is the user opening the .csv attachment?
I'm guessing that it should be opened with Excel.
Are you using an attachment document type of 'XLS'?
If not, then the attachment won't be opened with Excel unless the user right-clicks on it and does 'Open with'.
Even then, the user will have to use the Excel import wizard.
Is a .csv file what you want?
You can use the ABAP OLE stuff to write a native Excel file that can be attached to an email.
Or you can (at the cost of more work) write the Excel file (still type XLS) using XML, which gives you more control, and still works when your program is run in the background.

Cannot send alert from SAP by Outlook integration

Dear All,
We are on SAP8.8. When we create an Alert for a user query, we want to send the report by e mail as well.
We can receive the report by message in SAP. We have no error message in SAP to say send out failed.
But we didn't receive anything from SAP for the report.
I tried to sent out email from SAP. I click the icon then sent out e mail. It can send out for me. So the outlook integration add-on should be fine. Is there anywhere we should check to see if the e mail has been sent out?

In Meassges/Alert overview,under sent messages tab,you can see messages which is sent from your system or if you are not able to send email,Goto administration->addons->Outlook integration->Default settings...you check the check box thats it.

Problem encountered while sending a mail notification from BPEL process

I am fresher in BPEL world, I am trying to send a notification mail to user using BPEL process. I had done all the configuration needed for mail notification process given in the developer guide.
I am able send a notification mail to intended recipent and also able to receive response activity from the BPEL process.
but, I am getting the following error in the server console.

Ignoring Mail Notifications from especified users

Hi,
I configured Calendar Server and IWC to send mail using Postfix ATM. It works!
The problem now is, the users who more has used the service, add a new event and the notifications are not sent.
A new User, add a new event and the MTA respons:

Ok, I have a workarround:
when I installed convergence, i wanted to configure iwc to have 'EnableInviteNotify' enable by default. in the iwc configuration.xml i edited:

                            <icsExtendedUserPrefs-ceEnableNotifyPopup v="true"/>
                            <icsExtendedUserPrefs-ceEnableInviteNotify v="true"/>then the checkbox of "Send notifications" in Calendar Notifications Options is checked by default to all users.
so, I back to the old configuration:
<icsExtendedUserPrefs-ceNotifyEnable v="0"/>
                            <icsExtendedUserPrefs-ceEnableNotifySMS v="false"/>
                            <icsExtendedUserPrefs-ceEnableNotifyPopup v="false"/>
                            <icsExtendedUserPrefs-ceEnableInviteNotify v="false"/>Now, the user have to re-check manually the "Send notifications" in Calendar Notifications Options.
Now, All e-mails notification are sent.
Where can i report the bug?, because when the user enable/disable this checkbox doesnt appear the ajax "change message".

I used the in built Package UTL_SMTP(pp_to,pp_from,pp_subject,pp_hostname) but i didn't got the success. Actually i dont know how and what parameters has to pass to this package .

Hi Rajakumar,
You have to do some settings in SCOT and if required run the Program RSWUWFWL2 if you need to send your workitem to outlook.

E Mail Notification in SAP MDM Workflow

Dear Experts,
We have a scenario regarding E Mail Notification, in which we need your inputs on the below issues:
1. We are able to maintain the list of users manually for Email Notify step, but we need to maintain the list of users as dynamically. So that it will be helpful in reducing the human errors.
2. We have to send Email only if there is a change or creation of records based on a value of a particaular qualified lookup link.
eg, A look up qualified link for regions which has possible values as "Region1", "Region2" and "Region 3". So we want that if a record gets created with "Region1" then only notification should be sent else no notification.
Please provide your solution on the above issues.

Scenario 1:
I dont think we have an option of dynamic users list (based on Role) in e-mail notification but you can do one thing you can add multiple e-mail ids for a single user with a ";" seperator under users-> e-mail in console. please give a try and see if it helps.
Scenario 2:
Design a workflow which has Trigger Actions on Record Add,Record Update
Start -> Branch step -> (FALSE)Stop
->(TRUE) Notify -> Stop
In the branch step use the validation with the below code. This will take care of the notifiction when there is a Region1 added to the lookup table.
HAS_ANY_VALUES(Regions.Region.[Record], Regions [Region1] ) AND
LEFT(Updated Date,16)= LEFT(SYSTIME(0),16 )

Regarding Autoforwarding of Notifications from SAP Inbox to Externam Mail ids

Hi Experts,
   In Our Project we are forwarding SAP INBOX Notifications to External email ids using
   below settings from SBWP .
SBWP->Settings->Office Settings.
Here in the Automatic Forwarding Tab we are maintaing the Emaid Adresses .
With this setting , IT forwards all the SAP INBOX mails to the email ids which we maintained in settings.
But we want to Filter the Notifications.
How to get this?

Sending mails from sap to outlook with pdf attachment

Hi All
I am using the function module 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' to send
mail with the pdf attachment to a SMTP mail id(outlook). I have done all the configuration settings in SCOT transaction. But still i am not able to get the mail in my outlook mailbox. Following are the details of the steps i have followed.
step1.
Get the OTF data output from the SMARTFORMS function module.
step2,
convert the OTF output data to PDF format.
step3.
populate all the required table to pass data to the function
module 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' -
            packing_list
            contents_bin
            contents_txt
            receivers
and call the function module.
After doing the above steps still i am not able to get the mail in my outlook mailbox. Please Help.
