Mail Notification Setup in Oracle Application on OAF Page Failure

Hi,
I have a requirement to setup the Mail Notification on any kind of error comes on OAF Page. Have any one configure such kind of setup ever?
Please help me. Any kind of help would be highly appreciated.

Our problem is not concerned with a particular OAF Page. We want that if any OAF page gives error , then an email notification should be sent to the system administrator, specifying the error details.
Is this possible and how we can do it?

Mail notification without opening the application

Is there a way to have Mail notify that you have mail without actually opening the application. I noticed if I have the Mail application open, (but minimized) that within the Mail icon I will see a number of unopened emails identified.

There are a couple of Widgets that will do that for you. Fairly light apps.
Have a search here and see if there is something there that you like.

Can we call an oracle form from OAF Page

Hi,
I have a requirement , wherein I should add a field to an existing OAF Page and when the user clicks on the field the oracle forms should open and after filling the details in the oracle form user will close the from and return to the OAF page.
I would like to get some inputs on how this can be acheived.
Please do help .

What is the Function Type in Oracle Applications for UIX pages?

Hi,
In the Oracle forms function window (under the System Administrator responsibility) there is a field call function type. The selection does not have UIX but it does have JSP. Should the function type be set as JSP if I'm referring to a UIX page?

I have account with google apps. with that email acount I would like gen emails from database and send thru google apps gmail acccount. Plz. help me with SMTP setuo on util mail. I am using ORACLE 10g

1. Logon to OAM (Oracle Application Manager):
- Site Map > Press the link Monitoring > Current Activity > System Alerts > Notifications Setup > Create >Single Application > Press Continue button >
2. For the Application select: Application Object library.
3. For the Component Name: you can select any of the manager, for example “Standard Manager”
4. Select the Person to Notify.
5. Press Submit.

E5 weird e-mail notifications

For those who have setup their home screen to anything different than "Active" and have the mail notification setup on the home screen, but don't get any sound and/or vibration - the problem is that sound and vibration will be played only for the 2 mailboxes setup in the "Active" standby mode, no matter which one you are currently using. If for example you want to use the "Contacts bar" mode and have sound/vibration for your e-mails, you must first switch to "Active" mode, set your account on the home screen, then switch back to "Contacts bar" and set it there also. I lost so much time to setup mail accounts, reset the phone several times etc. until I found this. I am so tired of Nokia and their latest "smart" phones...

There is no logic as you describe in the Notifications, it will send every submission to the collaborators set up for Notifications.

This has been specified step by step in Developer Guide. Refer it for more.

Very Urgent.......How to update the database values through OAF pages ??

I am developeing some self service application thru Oracle Application Framework(OAF). There I am fetching 5 attributes from the database and displaying those attributes in my main page Table Region. Now my requirement is i want to edit that exising values & again i want to store it in the databse while clicking the update button. so first i have created one VO for fetching the values from the database & i make one Table Region in my main page along with 5 MessageTextInput field.. & i mapped that VO's attributes to my textbox.Now i can able to fetch & display the values inside the text box while rendering the page.
But I dont know how to update the values in the database. Caz in my VO I have only select query. So anyone plz send me the code for update. And also plz let me know where to insert that code..whether (CO or AM or EO)..it is very urgent.

Note that the default JavaBean datacontrol does not allow create/remove and transaction operations. These apis are not implemented for the JavaBean datacontrol.
You may re-initialize the rowsetiterator, by calling ((oracle.adf.model.generic.DCRowSetIteratorImpl)iteratorBinding.getRowSetIterator()).clearCurrentData().
This will force the RSI to refresh it's data via the named-accessor again.

Setup E-Mail notification in Oracle 10g Enterprise Manager

Hello,
my problem is to setup a proper mail configuration unter Oracle 10g EM.
The testmail is working but after I have insert rules for sending it doesn't work.
E.g. to mail information when DB starts or going to shutdown...
I think I missed one step....but I don't know it:-(
Can someone help me?
