- As I can notify the user by email when you request a resource, and when the reconciliation process the information correctly and incorrectly.
- As I can send email notifications when a user is provisioned to a resource set Oracle Identity Manager 11g.

I am facing the same issue. However my platform is Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I guess all Vista compitable editions should be working on Windows 7 as well.

I was recently tasked with branding an OIM instance to match pretty stringent branding standards. To accomplish this task, I extended the fusion theme which is provided out of the box into a new custom skin. Tables using Oracle Identity Manager 11g

I have a query about the tables used by Identity Manager 11g.
There is some document that tells me the tables used by Oracle Identity Manager 11g, and how they are linked.
Very grateful for your help

This does not exist for 11g. Only 9.x has a database diagram. Most the tables are the same, it's just the request side that is new due to the SOA integration.

Is Oracle Identity Management 11g Patch Set 5 (11.1.1.6.0) reqd for Essbase

In the Media pack Readme for parts required to be downloaded for different EPM products, Essbase has Oracle Identity Management 11g Patch Set 5 (11.1.1.6.0) for Microsoft Windows x86 (64-bit) listed. Can someone please tell me if this is a must have. If not under what conditions does one need to have this?

Unable to send Email Notification for Oracle Identity Manager 11g for users

Do you just create the user in OIM and not anywhere else?
I have cofigured notification on the the target resources that i automatically assign to users as soon as they are created via trusted recon. Let say a user gets AD rersource. Ill notify whoever i want from there.
Another way i did it was using the post eventHandler code. I call an email service to notify admins on the status of the recon and post recon eventhandlers. snippet below..

Configuring Identity Management Components - Error in starting opmn server

Hello,
I have a VM, which is being administered by VMware Lab Manager. The VM is running RHEL 5.1, and has an Oracle 11g database installed.
I am in the process of trying to install and configure Oracle Internet Directory 11g. To do this, I ran the Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Oracle Identity Management Installer. I selected the "Install Software - Do Not Configure" installation type, and chose to "Configure without a Domain" in order to avoid having to install and administer a WebLogic domain. I set "/data1/u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.1" as the Oracle Middleware Home, and "Oracle_IDM1" as the Oracle Home Directory. (To simplify things below, let ORACLE_IDM_HOME refer to the /data1/u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.1/Oracle_IDM1" directory... understand that no environment variable exists with this name though.) The installation routine ran successfully.
But, I ran into a problem while trying to configure the Oracle Identity Management 11g components. I ran the Oracle Identity Management 11g Release 1 Configuration Wizard (ORACLE_IDM_HOME/bin/config.sh). Here are some of the key configuration values that I entered:
- Oracle Instance Location: /data1/u01/config/oracle/as_admin/asinst_1
- Oracle Instance Name: asinst_1
- Select Domain: Configure without a Domain
- Configure Components: Oracle Internet Directory
- Configure Ports: Auto Port Configuration
- Specify Schema Database: Create Schema
After entering my configuration values and hitting the Configure button, the configuration process started running. Shortly thereafter, under Bootstrap Domain Configuration, "Failed" appeared next to the "Create ASInstance" line, with the following error listed:

To get more information, I tried to manually start the opmn server (I set ORACLE_INSTANCE to "/data1/u01/config/oracle/as_admin/asinst_1" and then ran "./opmnctl start" from the ORACLE_IDM_HOME/opmn/bin directory). As expected, the server failed to start. But, I checked the opmn.out file (in the ORACLE_INSTANCE/diagnostics/logs/OPMN/opmn directory), and found the following error repeated several times:

I just needed internet access to download the sysstat and compat-db packages, once installed I disconnected from the internet and re-run the installation, once again, it went fine without problems and opmn and OID are up and running. Also, I enabled the firewall which was disabled during the first installation.
Here is the list of packages needed as pre-requisites:

Oracle Identity Manager Customization

Hi to all. Working with Oracle Identity Manager 11g, I have a simple need. Please let me describe my scenario. I have one user, say Joseph who has 2 or many accounts of a resource, namely "BADGE". In my application, one user may have one or more badges. When Joseph tries to submit a ModifyProvisionedResource request for the BADGE resource type, the system shows a table for the selection of one among the BADGE resources. This table has 3 columns: Resource, UserID, Description.
I simply need to add one column to this table to show a custom attribute of the BADGE resource.
Which are the steps to follow to do this?

Hi,
As martin said its a custom interface.You will have to extend ManageAttestationTask class. You need to override few method particularly populateTableData and populateTableDataForRequestDetails methods.
I would recommend this approach until you are every much familier with struts development because if you messed up attestation won't work and more over oracle dosn't support any action class customizations.

Sending email notifications/alerts via Enterprsie Manager 11g

I have Oracle 11g on Linux...and i have set up SMTP of my Enterprise Manager Database control. I click on Test and an email was sent successfully.
What i dont know is how to add more emails as the receipient of the alerts.
I have setup metrics like number of sessions, cpu usage, buffer cache hits, swapping, tablespace usage, etc...
Upon saving and waiting for transactions to come in, alerts were shown the the EM homepage..but i did not receice any emails... :(
What step did I miss? Any advise....

I've had loads of issues with this as well. I haven't done it in a while but here are the notes that one of my guys has on it:
Configuration For Administrators
1. Roles: Public
2. System Privileges: View any target
3. Target Privileges: View the database on which the job runs
4. Subscribe to Rules: Subscribe to the rule containing (or that will contain) the job in question
For the Job you want notification sent out on
1. Access: The administrator should be added with View level access

OIM 11g - Mail Notification for multiple resources

User will be provisioned to 5 target system through access policies.So instead of sending 5 different mail notifications to the manager on the Create User task about the account creation, is it possible to send one consolidated mail about the provisioned resources in OIM 11g.

How abt for the following requirement for sending single mail for multiple resources provisioned.
We have 3 Access Policies which is defined as follows.
1) Policy 1 -> R1,R2,R3 Resources
2) Policy 2 -> R3,R5 Resources
3) Policy 3 -> R1,R4 Resources
In such a case we will not be able to put dependencies on Resources and adding a task for sending email.

Identity Management Install: 11g - start Oracle Internet Directory failed

Hello,
I have been struggling for the last couple of days with this installation, I have tried to install Identity Management (6 times) on a fresh VM with an install of Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition - SP2 with 4GB RAM. In the server, there is also installed an Oracle database 11g.
No matter what I do, the installation always fails while trying to start Oracle Internet Directory, I need this installation in order to configure SSO with Forms and Reports.
I have also tried to start the services with opmnctl startall, but it only starts EMAGENT.
