Mail notifications turning off after re-start

Hi all,
I have an iPhone 4s running iOS 7.1.1. I have my mail notifications turned on in the lock screen as alerts and to be shown in the notification centre, but after re-starting my phone, they turn off. After a re-start, both the 'show in notification centre' and 'show on lock screen' options are turned off. The phone vibrates when I get an email, but nothing comes up on the lock screen.
I can't seem to find anyone else with this issue, so any help would be appreciated. It's a bit annoying to keep having to turn them on again every time I re-start my phone.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like some of the Notification Center settings aren't sticking on your iPhone. The quickest and easiest way to troubleshoot this issue will be restarting your iPhone and then restoring it, if the restart didn't resolve the issue.

How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

Does anyone have a solution when sounds alerting messages and e-mails are turned off after using the phone in var with handsfree (using Bluetooth)? The sounds are turned back on when restarting the phone but reoccurs after driving in car with handsfree again. This is very annoying when takling several trips with car during a day. The phone still rings when receiving a call.

I did find a solution to my iPhone-iPod-music-overriding-streaming-streaming-services-while-connected-to-USB problem Although, this solution is likely only applicable to BMW owners with the BMW Apps feature aka 6NR.
There may be other/simpler ways, but this seems to work:
1) Launch Pandora (or could be Mog, or other BMW Apps app) BEFORE you start iPhone/iPod playback
2) Start playback of Pandora via ConnectedDrive/BMW Apps.
3) Press Home button on iPhone, launch your streaming app.
The car still seems to think it's in the ConnectedDrive audio menu, as evidenced by the Entertainment details screen. You can now consistently play back any other audio service via your iPhone without the iPod audio overriding what you're doing. Good times! The only drawback so far is lack of ability to skip tracks via the steering wheel.
As long as you haven't started iPhone/iPod playback when you get in the car, you can often skip steps #1 and #2, and go straight into the ConnectedDrive menu, then go to step #3. Either way, following steps #1-3 works everytime.

IPhone 4 OS 7.1.2 doesn't turn off after notification

After I receive a text, email notification or missed phone call, the notification screen usually turns off after a few seconds. It's gotten to where about 40% of the time it just stays on until I manually hit the On/Off button. At first I thought it was because the phone was plugged up but it's also happening when it is unplugged.
Anyone else having this issue or know of a fix?

Try a reset first.
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

Problem solved for now. Cleanded the jack port with a q-tip and pushed the cable in harder. Seems to be working. Thanks to all others who posted these past suggestions.

Push he first slider far to the right up to never so that your Mac Mini never stops.
Also untick the suspend hard drive activity as soon as possible to avoid lag on your Minecraft server.

Screen turns off after a few minutes and needs to be closed then opened

hi, as the title suggests my powerbook screen turns off after a few minutes before my screensaver is set to come on and when i come back and press a key or move the pad it wont start up so i need to close the powerbook then open it up again for it to activate. its not a huge problem but my programs which connect to the internet seem to lose their connection when i open it up again. is this normal? is there a setting i can change?

Is there a way to "disable" Standby, Suspend and Off just when watching movies (in fullscreen or not)? I want them to do what they usually do in all other cases.
Setting them to 0 in xorg.conf does the thing, but I need that functionality only when I'm wathing movies. Making a script that alters adjustments in xorg.conf isn't the best solution - you'd have to restart X every time you want to watch a movie .

G5 Turns off after 10 minutes

My iMAC G5 just turns off after about 10 minutes. I had trouble with the power supply a few years ago and I replaced it and everything was great. Now it just turns off after about 10 minutes and I am wondering if the power supply is acting up again. Do these things have a problem like this? It was easy to replace, so I can just do that again if that will fix the problem. But I don't want to just start changing out parts and still have the problem. Is the power supply a problem with this model?

More info on the iMAC. The processor is 1.8 GHz PowerPC G5 the memory is 1 GB DDR SDRAM running Mac OS X Version 10.5.3. Buss speed 600 MHz, Number of CPUs 1. I just took it apart and cleaned the dust out to see if that will help. We will see.

Yoga display turns off after 1 minute

I'm having an annoying problem with my new Yoga related to the display and have not seen any other posts with a similar complaint so perhaps this is a simple fix that I'm just not able to sort out on my own. My display turns off after 1 minute of inactivity. The only means for changing behavior like this that I am aware of is through the Control Panel Power Options. My settings for "turn off the display" are 10 minutes on battery and Never while plugged in (note screen shot attached). Regardless of my settings, the screen turns off after 1 minute. I've changed the settings to multiple configurations and restarted with no change in behavior. Perhaps there's some other settings area, maybe something specific to Lenovo that I'm not aware of (since this is my first Lenovo laptop). Anyone with similar problems or insight?

This may be a Windows 8 issue. I finally fixed this problem by identifying the screen saver as the issue (and I wasn't using a screen saver). Type "lock the computer" into the search box after clicking the search charm, which brings up the screen saver dialog box. Mine was set to 1 minute, though I'd never set it myself. If you can't change it, choose a screen saver and you should be able to do so (and can then switch back to no screen saver). BUT, here's the problem. Other things you install (or settings within things you install) can apparently change and override whatever you type in for the delay time. Try applying your new time and exiting from the dialog box, then open it back up again. I was finding that it kept going back to 1 minute. To reset things so that you can get control again, type "user accounts" into the search box and when the dialog box comes up, choose "Reset Security Policies". Then you can go back to the screen saver dialog and successfully change the delay time. I have the exact same problem trying to use the Remote app on both my iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 with either my Mac or ATV2. My Remote app used to work on my phone - I can't recall if I ever actually used it with my iPad, but when I tried today, I got all the same results as you did (on both iPad, and then iPhone). I was using my ATV2 to play music from iTunes on my Mac and wanted to use the Remote app, but it would not connect to either device no matter what I did.
