When two Computers are online at the same time, constantly losing internet connection

I recently added a WRT160N router to my PC for a wireless Laptop elswhere in the house as well as adding a new network adapter card to my PC. When both the Laptop and the PC are online at the same time I am constantly getting booted offline and having to reset the connection, but when just the PC is on there are no prbloems and everything seems to work fine.
Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks in advance

In this case i think you need to change some settings on your Router. Follow the steps below.
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop).In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...Leave username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
Click on the Wireless tab
- Here select manual configuration...Wireless Network mode should be mixed...
- Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box in order to differentiate your network from your neighbours network...
- Set the Radio Band to Standard-20MHz and change the Standard channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on Save Settings...
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the Network Identifier...
For Wireless Security : -
Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the Wireless security mode to WEP, Encryption should be 64 bit.Leave the passphrase blank, don't type in anything...Under WEP Key 1 type in any 10 numbers please(numbers only and no letters eg: your 10 digit phone number) and click on save settings...
Please make a note of WEP Key 1 as this is the Security Key for the Wireless Network...
Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

Either Mail will crash or the iMac will run so slowly as to be unusable. With both running, the HDD spins constantly at a high rate of speed.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

Tried Apple Support by phone, and did a couple of troubleshoots, then my connection with Apple Support was cut off. Issue not resolved yet.

Did the mail get sent? Is the only issue the fact that it appears twice in the Sent folder?

WRT54GS Wont support Two XBOX 360s online at the same time

Just bought new Linksys WRT54GS to support two XBOX 360s live simultaneously. Can't log both on at same time. It kicks first 360 off when second one tries to log on. How can I fix this and have both NAT types open?

I'm having the same issue. I have comcast as ISP, Linksys modem BEFCMU10 V3, going to a Linksys router WRT54GS V4, two desk tops hardwired to the router, TiVo with a wireless and two Xbox 360s with Xbox wireless adaptors. Each Xbox 360 has a different Live account, one has mine the other has my daughters. Either by itself goes live just fine but as soon as the second unit is brought on the first kicked off. If left on they will take turns dropping off from Xbox Live. One night we alternately texted/chatted from both of our Xboxs to the same third party. When he had signed off for the night and showed be "offline" on my unit my daughters unit still showed him "online" until we shut her Xbox off. In addition the NAT always seems to change. Some times its open, others it's medium or strict. This seems to be related to having one or both Xboxs on. I found an article on segmenting your network by using two wireless routers and running the Xboxes through the router closest to the modem and everything else through the second down line router. I haven't tried it yet. Anything I'm missing? Something else I should try? I've talked to the Geeks and some tell you can't so it and others tell me sure it will but they want $$. I've talked to other gamers that tell they've had two Xboxs on Live with no problem.

How do I put two devices online at the same time?

Hi, I have just bought the Wireless-G Broadband Router, model #WRT54G. I have everything working except I'm having one little problem. I can only go online with one thing at a time. Once I'm using my computer the PS3 shuts down the internet then vise versa.
How can I make it so I can go online with the PC while playing online with the PS3. Is there something else I'm needing to buy?

Can Airport Express / Computer be set up to steam music and go online at the same time?

I can only connect my MacBook to one device (wireless modum and airport extreme) at a time. I have gotten a few error messages during setup that make me wonder if it is the "refurb" device that is bad. I get error messages when I try to set it up wirelessly. Yes, both can be done simultaneously. You just need to reconfigure the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) to "join" the wireless network provided by the other wireless router.
AirPort Express Base Station (AX) - iTunes Setup
Either connect to the AX's wireless network or connect directly, using an Ethernet cable, to the Ethernet port of the AX, and then using the AirPort Utility in "Manual Setup" mode, make the following changes:
AirPort Utility > Select the AX > Manual Setup > AirPort > Wireless
Wireless Mode: Join a wireless network
Network Name: <existing wireless network>
Wireless Security: <select the encryption type of the existing wireless network>
Wireless Password: <enter the existing wireless network password>
Verify Password: <re-enter the existing wireless network password>
AirPort Utility > Select the AX > Manual Setup >Music
Enable AirTunes (checked)
iTunes Speaker Name: <enter desired speaker name>
iTunes Speaker Password: (optional)
Verify Password: (optional)
Click Update to write the new settings to the AX

I have 2 Gmail accounts and I'd like to have both open concurrently, but I can't seem to do that. It keeps defaulting to the Gmail that's already open. Do I need to open a separate Safari? If so, how, because I can't seem to do that either.

You can use a "modifier" (Control, Alt, Shift) key in combination with a regular key, but you can't combine regular keys unless you add some custom logic.
Basically in the keyPressed event you need to store the previous key that was pressed and add some comparison logic to see if the two keys you are monitoring where pressed back to back.

When I have a Safari window open and then open mail, the Mail window becomes active but the Safari window remains on the desktop. Does yours minimize to the Dock?

ive just moved out and have just been connected to talk talk broadband today. Both my ipad mini and iphone are saying they are connected to wifi but only my iphone will connect to online services where my ipad mini won't. But if i disconnect my iphone from wifi then my ipad will work online and then when trying to connect my iphone back to wifi that won't work with online services. is this because they are both using the same apple account? though when i was living at home my mum had sky router and i was able to connect both devices with no problem. is there anyway of connecting both devices so they work online at the same time??

There is absolutely no reason why they should not bothe be able to connect to your WiFi network. The easiest place to start would be to reboot your router. Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. I would also restart both the iPad and the iPhone.

I have a question... I have my regular MSN, but I also have one for my business, and I would like them both to be online at the same time... The MSN Messenger I have feature a window for "personal contacts" and one named "Company account" so I thought that was perfect. Unfortunately, I cannot sign in on the one named "Company account", even though the MSN I have created works fine in the "personal contacts" window...

I don't use messenger much, but in iChat, when I log in with my other computer, a message appears asking if I approve multiple log ins. Possibly there's a messenger setting somewhere that permits the same?

Connectivity issues because of many users on at the same time.

I notice this has been getting worse and worse, and last night my wife almost didn't get on in time to finish a college assignment.My wife noticed that there were about 7 or 8 people online at the same time. It seems anytime there are 5 or more we cannot connect at all.
After a few hours we noticed there were only 2 people online, and what do you know we got on right away. Is it possible that over the years we have exceeded our bandwidth and now are just too overloaded? It sure seems that way, and was pretty much proven last night.

Without knowing which router you have (Verizon has supplied several different DSL router/modems), it is hard to give specific directions for your specific router.
1). You can determine your speed by connecting to your router (http://192.169.1.1) and logging in.
Usually the user id is Admin and the password is passwd or password, but on some routers there is a sticker that identifies the password. If nothing works, try reseting the router. Once you are logged in, print out the 'transceiver stats', that will tell you what the speed on the link between you and the central office is. If you post that information, we can also tell you if your line can support a higher speed than you currently have.
2). Once you are connected to the router, you can also check the wireless settings. If you have never set it up, it may be an unsecured network, in which case anyone can use it. You probably want to change that. While everyone says how wonderful WPA2 is, the reality is that any security, even WEP will very effectively discourage and effectively prevent others from using your wireless network.

I just want to use this device to play music and connect to my original wireless network. I assume since I'm not using an Airport Extreme to connect to the internet then I can't get the Airport Express to connect either. I can't listen to music and be online at the same time the way it is currently configured. Is there another way to set this up so I can connect to my airport on itunes and play music while being on my other wireless network?

Try Doing a hard Reset your Express and go through the setup procedure again.
This time making sure your joining your existing network.

There is no such functionality build into the framework. The offline data base is only for designing the db, not to have a backup db.
If you can't connect to the db the application will not work.
