Mail on iPad 2 only loads subject line

HI, Just switched over to the cloud and suddenly all I get on my iPad 2 is the subject line of any incoming email message and the name of the sender. The body of the email does not appear. Emails are fine on my laptop and my office computer.
Any ideas?

No, it's not a reset issue it's a definite problem with the email agent on the iPad. It seems to be predominantly with POP accounts as the issue doesn't seem to occur with Exchange accounts. I would also take a bet that it relates to the first or last email downloaded at synchronisation points as there is a randomeness about which emails are impacted.
One or two posts elsewhere suggested that there may be simultaneous downloads occuring using pop accounts on different computers and that this may have the effect of the first download deleting the email from the host server so that subsequent downloads on another machine may see the email then it disappears before it can be fully downloaded. This seemed to be a good shout but turns out that's not what's happening as I've tested the theory.
I have multiple machines using pop services and the only one that is impacted is the iPad so all fingers point to there being a bug in the email client.

I am currently using Windows 7 - 64 bit as my operating system. Previously this was not the case. But after I changed my operating system, problem started in forwarding my mails. I can't see my Gmail messages or attachments in Firefox, only the subject line, but I can in IE or when accessing from my Android.

I use Firefox 7.0.1 on my desktop using Windows 7. As of yesterday I can no longer view my messages in Gmail when I click on them using Firefox. A window comes up, but it just shows the subject line, not the rest of the message. I can see them in Outlook, and I can see them in Gmail from IE or from my Android.

This is only happening on my e-mail account, My mail will open in Explorer fine, but in Firefox it only shows the subject, it shows the rest of the message in a separate tab if I try to print the message.
My wife was able to open her gmail on a separate tab, and hers loaded just fine, subject and the rest of the message but on mine, I can only see the message and the Google adds, grrrrr please help!!! is this an Issue with Gmail???

Spotlight Search for Reminders: Only references subject line, not Reminder Notes

Just shipped 20 large boxes from west cost to east coast, they're going to be sitting in the garage of where I'm staying for a month. Using the Reminders app, I created Reminder for each box, in the subject line the box number and tracking number. In the Notes field for each Reminder I entered the details of the box contents, thinking that I could later search for a particular item, find the Reminder for it and know what box it's in.
Wish I'd tested my theory as I've now discovered that while Reminders are searchable with Spotlight on my iOS devices, it only references the subject line -- Spotlight ignores Reminder comments. Bummer :-(

Send mail through dynamic action, but the subject line and content is blank

Hi all,
I'm facing one problem on sending mail throught dynamic action.
Whenever a new employee is hired, the system will trigger a mail to the administrator.
The mail can successfully reach the email address. But the title and the content of the mail are missing. I can receive an email with a PDF attchment. But when I open this PDF file, it's blank inside.
In t-code "SO10", I created a new mail text with name of Z_MAIL, for my mail, insteading of using the SAP standard one.
When I using the SAP standard mail text, it works and I can see the content. But even I copy and paste the exact the content of the standard one to my own new mail text, it will not work.
And I have to use my own customized mail text. So, is there any one knows about this issue? Any more setting I should do? Or is there some tricks?

   I feel that something will be misiing in the coding.Even i faced the same problem earlier.for me it was text file as an attachment ,file was receiving but no data...the problem was i forget to add one option in objpack-head.

Missing Subject line for the Approval Notification Mail

Hi,
We use CUP 5.3 SP7. We have configured the system for role based approval. We found that the approval notification mail being sent without any Subject line. It's configurable to set the admin mail id, but couldn't find one to set the Subject.
We get the following content in the mail....
View <http://<host:port>/AE/index.jsp?verifyApproverLogin.do........................>
Can we set it somewhere from the configuration?

Thx for your reply..But i think you missed my point...Let me try to explain it again...
When we submit a request, the system triggers a notification mail to the approver(s). And this mail seems to be missing a Subject line... and it's shown to be sent from the System E-mail id we set at the SMTP server config.
I couldn't find a tab for setting the E-mail format for the first approver neither at the stage nor in the e-mail reminder configuration.
Perhaps, setting the next approver will help if i had a secondary approver. But we are using a single stage WF in CUP. Am i missing some config step here?

Why can't I send email with subject line only?

I just sent an email with only a subject line, but it was from my .me account to another one; it seemed to work.

Subject line "another option" prevents message from sending

I recently attempted to send a message (in Mail version 3.5) with the subject line "another option", and the message did not send, went to the outbox, and opened again. I assumed my connection was down, but then I tried again with a different subject line and it worked.
A bit of fiddling demonstrated that all of the following work: ".another option", "another optionasjkdflajdlfk", "another option askfljd", "another option" (2 spaces). In short, it seems that only this specific subject line causes the message to not send.
This is obviously not a big problem; I ended up simply using a different subject. But I am curious to find out why this is the case.

The header is being "folded" as described in RFC 2822 section 2.2.3.
The folding doesn't lose the space if unfolding is done properly.
Perhaps the recipient mail program isn't handling unfolding properly?
If so, please report the bug to the owner of that program.
If you need to work around such a buggy program, you can set the
System property "mail.mime.foldtext" to "false" to disable all folding
in JavaMail.

PO Subject Line Change

Hi SAP Gurus,
My client wants to change the PO Subject Line for Automail triggered to vendor when PO is sent.
I have made the necessary changes in Message output Type ZINV in Mail Title and Text with new subject line.
Then i created the PO and automatically by assignment Message output Type ZINV got selected and saved PO. Automatically mail got triggered to vendor with OLD subject Line which i checked BY SOST Tcode.
Again i created the PO and this time I manually added the same Message output Type ZINV in PO and mail got triggered to vendor with NEW subject Line..
My question is why this happening. When message o/p type is selected automatically in PO mail gets triggered with OLD subject line and when we add up the same message o/p type manually mail gets triggered with NEW subject Line.
I want to have NEW subject Line when the message o/p type is selected automatically while PO.
Why this happening? Am i missing something.....?

If there is no condition record maintained then how come sytem is determinig the message type. are you working on the same PO, Please check all the key combinations being used if there is any condition record exist.

Subject Line Line Line....

Recently when Mail downloads mail from my university server, the subject line of the first message is becomes the subject line of all subsequent messages downloaded at that time. Any suggestions on what to do? I have removed and added the account several time.

sorry, all messages take the subject line of the last (or most recently received) message downloaded.

Warn on empty/blank subject line/header? (I've got a lead)

I see that others have already asked here a few times about whether there is a plugin or setting for Mail.app to warn me when I attempt to send a message w/ no subject header. The answer seems to be there's no way to do that and we're just out of luck. You'd think there'd be a demand for this, as it seems to be a mistake that anyone can make every now and then.
Well, I'm asking again, and also I've got a lead on a potential route to a solution.
I did find a handy Mail plugin that warns when you're forgetting an attachment:

Entourage - Changing an eMail Subject Line

I am a new mac convert and still trying to figure out how to do some of the things I used to do on a PC. One thing that was really helpful was that MS Outlook allowed you to open up a mail item double click on the subject line and change it to something that was meaningful to you (In my case I was adding customer names/numbers and the order date). I cannot find anything similar in entourage yet and am looking for any suggestions.

So I found the answer in a google forum and thought I would post it here for everyones benefit.
You have to open the message (by double clicking or highlighting the message and hitting "return"). Once the message is open select "Edit Message" from the "Message" menu in the top bar.
For the Entourage help file Type "Edit Message" into search field in Help.

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Overnight, text body of emails will not display for messages in inbox-only the from and to and a subject line displays. Draft messages in Ipad display fully. Inbox emials display fully on my main Dell computer and my Iphone. Any ideas? Duanekot

See if this helps .... Reset the iPad.
Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider bar - let go of the buttons and let the iPad start up. Then check your emails.

Awesome. Rebooting the phone worked. I had never turned the phone off before (for the next guy - you hold down the "sleep" button for longer than you'd think and that'll do a full shutdown). thank you for your help.
