Mail Previous Recipients List only shows today's recipients

In the Mail application, when I choose Window/Previous Recipients, the list shows only those recipients from emails I sent out since the last time I started up Mail application. However, when I begin to type in the To: box in a new email, a longer list of recipients shows up.
It appears the actual list and what shows up in Window/Previous Recipients don't agree.
This is a problem because some of the email addresses that show up when I begin typing in the To field are old ones that I'd like to get rid of. However, the method I used to use, going to Previous Recipients list and deleting them, won't work because they don't show up there.
This may have begun when I upgraded to Mountain Lion, though I'm not sure that is the case.
My husband is another User on the same computer, and he is not having this problem. The problem must be related to some file associated with my user being corrupted and rewritten new, or something like that. However, the only references I can find for a corrupt Previous Recipients file suggest going to Library/Application Support/Address Book and deleting a file MailRecents-v4.abcdmr. I cannot locate the file, or an Application Support folder for Address Book or Contacts.
Any help would be appreciated.

Does the dialog show "You can read and write" in the Sharing & Permissions section?
In the General section, is the box labeled Locked checked?
What is the Modified date?
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Open a TextEdit window and paste into it (command-V). Select the line you just pasted and continue as above.

I would say all types. Any kind of document/ file that has multiple pages, I can't get to the next page.

Mail Sent List - Only Shows "FROM"... not "TO"

I just switched to IMAP from POP (connected to a Gmail acct). In my SENT items list in Mail, I can only see the FROM field, which is of course ME.
I would like to see the TO field when I view this list so I can identify sent messages by the recipient. The obvious fix is to select the Sent Mailbox, go to VIEW>MESSAGE ATTRIBUTES and select TO. For some reason, TO is already checked, but is greyed out along with several other attributes. So, this does not work.
I can sort by "TO", but the list still shows the FROM name. Not helpful.

I'm not sure this is the right place to ask this, but here goes.
When I download IMAP mail on my iPad I see only my name as the intended recipient. I cannot see the full address the sender was using. It makes it hard for me to know which of my accounts this mail was intended for. ( I use Gmail and others as a blind address an have that mail automatically forwarded to me. )
If I could see the sender's intended recipient address, I could determine which path the mail took to get to me. Then, I could manage that forwarding better.
Is there a way to fully expand the simple "Joe Blow" name in the grey oval that's serving as a visible recipient address in my incoming mail so I could identify the forwarding address I used for that particular notice?

Import dialog shows iPhone twice, and photo list only shows outlines

In Aperture 2.1.2 I have been able to import photos from my iPhone until just recently. Now the import dialog shows three choices of import devices/locations, Local Disk, RJH iPhone and a second RJH iPhone. If I select either iPhone the main window displays outlines of 7 images but no picture information except for the filename. If I actually try to import the pics it says 'Import completed with errors, the following files were not imported' and it lists all the filenames. One of the iPhone devices shows up in the import list EVEN WHEN THE iPHONE IS NOT CONNECTED!
I'm sure there is a plist or something that has the list of import devices bu I have not been able to find it despite extended web and support searches.
Anyone heard of this?

OK, I have since discovered that the second iPhone device is listed only when my iPhone is plugged into a DIFFERENT USB port on my MBP. If I plug it into the same port I usually use, it is only listed one. However, both Aperture and iPhoto still see one iPhone device whether it is plugged in or not, and both show images with outlines only and won't import photos. So strange

Why is firefox only showing today and yesterday's history?

firefox will only show me today and yesterday's history, how can i see the history before that? i did clear recent history a few days ago but i should have more history then just today's and yesterday's.

My history only shows today. what happened to the yesterday icon?

I noticed that under history setting I only have today option with calendar icon directly on the left side of it .
I used to have a yesterday option as well.
What happened to the yesterday option.
Did I delete it by mistake?
Can I reinstall it somehow?

If you use cleanup software like CCleaner then check the settings for the Firefox application.

I have Firefox 4.0 Beta 6 on my system and Beta 9 was installed, now both are oon desktop neither show on Start menu and Add/Remove list only shows Beta 6 but will not remove it.

Had a problem yesterday and Google chrome replaced Firefox as my default browser without my knowledge. I removed Chrome from my system and can use Firefox. I have two icons for Firefox on my quick launch toolbar one says Beta6 the other Beta9 but both launch Beta 9 but my Add/Remove programs shows only Beta6 and will not remove it. It seems Beta9 is the only version on my system but was not updated in my Start menu.

If you updated from the beta 6 version to the beta 9 version then the beta 9 version has replaced the previous beta version. It can happen that the uninstall registry key of older versions isn't updated or removed and that seems to have happened in your case. So you have only the beta 9 version installed and an orphaned entry to uninstall the beta 6 version.
If you are comfortable in editing the registry then you can remove that entry.Otherwise it is better to leave it.

windows mail version 6.0 on Vista. PE 12 gives only Express and Adobe as options.

Where can I download OSX Mountain Lion. I'd purchased it in the past and now my purchases list only shows Maverick.

I'd purchased Mountain Lion on release date and Maverick on release date as well. I realized my old Macbook Pro (late 2007) is supported by Mountain Lion, so I want to upgrade it from 10.6.8. However, in the App Store purchases I only see Maverick and search the App Store doesn't bring up Mountain Lion.

I tried that on both the old machine (10.6.8) and new one (10.9.2) and see just Maverick. I'm logged in the same Apple account for both. I see that I made the purchase in my receipts on July 26, 2012.

Time Machine only shows "Today, now"

I have transferred my files from an old to a new iMac. I have Time Machine on an external HD. For some reason the new iMac is not connecting to my HD. The HD shows up in the finder and has all my backup info on it. I just need to access it. Help would be appreciated. Thanks, jp

Time Machine only shows "Today". Can't access old stuff but no errors

Maybe I am missing something but I plugged in an external HD and the first time machine went well. It does its thing each hour but when I go into time machine all I see is Today/Now with no ability to restore anything or anything older than today. I know it has older stuff since yesterday it said the same thing and it has taken the proper space on my external hard drive.

It does sound like you're using a networked attached TM backup device wrt the disk image mounting on your Desktop. This is the case when people have hacked the system to be able to employ a USB2 device to their AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS).
In the case of the dmg image - when it's mounted via doing a Back Up Now quickly invoke the TM browser and you should immediately see all the TM backups/snapshots. If you keep the TM browser active even after the Back Up Now has completed then browsing will still be possible. However, once you terminate the TM browser you will be back to not being able to use it unless you do another Back Up Now. This is the rather cumbersome method that exists today with networked and AEBS connected USB2 devices, and clearly one of the reasons why Apple pulled the use of networked and AEBS connected Volumes from their web site one week before releasing Leopard GM on Oct 26.

Email inbox only shows items recieved today.

I have set up my Blueyonder email account on my E72 & can send & receive emails ok. the problem I have is that the Inbox only shows new email. By that I mean anything I have received (and read) prior to today do not appear. This is a pain when trying to reply to an email received 2 days ago as I cannot see it in the Inbox! The default setting of Hide mail after 2 weeks cannot be altered. Does anyone know why I cannot see older email from the last few days? By having it only show todays emails is no better really than receiving an Instant Message. Surely this can't be right? Is it something to do with the Blueyonder account or the phone's email setting?

That is very low - only 1.1 MB of free space. When the device gets too low, the Low Memory Manager starts deleting things like email, text messages, call logs, etc, to make room.

And FYI - Delete Prior is good to delete items only off of your BB (prior to a certain date). The items you delete that way will ONLY delete from your BB and will never sync with your client/server email account.

I need to edit data in the Recipients List... not delete Recipients or add to Contacts but make changes in the data. How do I do this?

It is a “document” file, and it can be edited. But as the document type is a SQLite database, you must know the Data Manipulation Language subset of the Structured Query Language in order to modify it.
The pseudo-code to modify the data would be:
UPDATE PreviousRecipientsTable
SET display_name to <new display name>
WHERE display_name = <old display name>
You would need to enter the appropriate DML code in SQLite3 to modify the data stored in the Previous Recipients database.

ICal Calendar or ToDo list not showing up.

I recently switched from Palm Desktop to iCal to sync with my Treo 680. (Mac OS Tiger 10.4.11). I'm using Missing Sync as my sync app.
The iCal Calendar list only shows up once in a while, usually not at all. Intermittently, my To Do list doesn't show up at all times either, or sometimes only partial lists. Everything on the Palm Treo is fine, though.
So far I am not liking iCal-- Palm Desktop seems much more capable and iCal seems filled with bugs.
Please help- I don't think I can switch back to Palm Desktop, but I can't function properly with only a partially working iCal...

No you will just need to go to preferences in ical and make sure it is what you want.

How to delete the Previous Recipients list in iPhone 3G Mail

I would like to delete the list of previous recipients in my iPhone 3G Mail so that when I search it only shows addresses in my Contacts, not every single random address I may have used.
I know how to do this in Mail on my desktop, and I tried the option of replacing the Mail info on the iPhone with the info from the desktop, but it didn't work.
Anyone knows how to do this?

In my expeirence, the only way to do this is to restore your iPhone, setting it up as a new phone. You can try resetting all settings prior to this to see if that does it as well.
To reset all settings, navigate to Settings > General > Reset.
