Mail received on iPad bout not mac

On occasion, I receive mail on my iPad and sometimes that email is not received on my Mac. I used to delete items from the iPad with plans to review on my Mac and found out because of an important email that was expected - had to go back to the iPad and forward to the Mac. My main email is cox communications and is a POP email.
I use iCloud for everything except email because that is my main email address for years.
Any suggestions? Is the a system issue or my provider?

In order to get the same email on all devices you must use an imap not a pop account. When using pop and you access the email from one device the email is deleted from the server and downloaded to the device. This is why you had to forward the email from the device. Imap accounts are designed to sync email between all devices accessing the email account. So you could read your email on one device then read the same email on another device using the same imap email account.
If COX supports imap protocol email accounts just set all your devices to the COX imap settings for your account.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

mail receives OK but will not send for smtp account. Exchange server receives/sends OK I'm away from home, using a family-member's wireless network that has always worked OK in the past. Today, the same problem occured while waiting in a hospital waiting lounge. Any ideas?

The outgoing mail server may be rejecting mail from your network address. Typically that happens when your mail service provider is also your ISP, and you connect to it from another network. The SMTP server will allow connections without a password from anywhere, but it will only relay mail from within the ISP's network. It could also be that your account on the server has expired or been suspended.
If you need to send mail from outside your ISP's network, use an independent mail service provider. I don't have a specific recommendation.

Can anyone help - my mail on my ipad will not connect to the server. My internet access is fine. How can I get my email to connect to the server?

My ipad will not connect tot he server when trying to access my mail. This has been happening since last Sunday. Some have said it is due to the latest software update. I am able to connect to the internet.
I am not having this issue on iPhone.
I checked all the settings, the wireless router in my house and at work.
I have completed a hard reset of the device.
I had our IT guy at work look at it.
He said to contact Apple....
Any thoughts?

Mail receives email but does not send

Hi,
I've just started to use Mail and am now using it to send and receive an email account that I used to run through Thunderbird on my Windows machine.
Mail can receive email for me, but it won't send it. When I try to send email, first I get an error message:
“... does not appear to be a valid email address. Please check the address and try again.
Then another:
This message could not be delivered and will remain in your Outbox until it can be delivered.
Verify that you have addressed this message correctly. Check your SMTP server settings in Mail Preferences and verify any advanced settings with your system administrator.
What's the problem? The settings are the ones I've been using for years. This is the only thing in OS X that hasn't worked yet!
Any help would be great.

I just thought I would jump in here because last night I starting having this same problem. I have used Mail for years for my POP accounts (I have about five that I access through the program). I can receive mail; however, I cannot send it. I receive messages like:
"The server response was: relaying mail to hotmail.com is not allowed"
When I try sending the mail through my .mac server, I receive a message that tells me I am not recognized as a .mac member.
However, I can log into my ISP webmail and my .mac account just fine.
I have tried deleting the account and readding it; this hasn't made a difference to the outgoing error message. I use my ISP server to access email, etc. The Server Port Number I use is 110 for the POP accounts and 143 for the .mac, and I have selected None for authentication. There is a discrepancy in server ports. In the general account information settings, the server number is 25; in the advanced account settings, the server number is 110. Changing both numbers to 110 hasn't made a difference, and I cannot alter the port setting in the advanced settings.
Additionally, I can send email to myself or any of my accounts through my ISP--it is only messages to email addresses with different ISP's that I cannot send messages to.
Any ideas?

Mail receiver adapter: THeaderREPLY-TO not working on ASMA

I'm trying to set some adapter specific message attributes (ASMA) in a mail receiver adapter.
Two properties I'm trying to set: THeaderFROM e THeaderREPLY-TO.
The first one is working great, the second one does not work.
My scenario is Soap to Mail. I send a soap message, in the message mapping a user defined function get the mail address (to and reply-to) and set it with DinamicConfiguration like this (hard coded to be simple):

As in the documentation, it should work. But the mail message reaches the mailbox with mime header Return-Path = from at teste.com.
Reading all the notes related to mail adapter (and adapter module processing) I found the tool TCPGateway to monitor what is going from adapter engine to the mail server. So I changed a little the scenario to test it and now the scenario is Soap->TCPGateway->MailServer. In the TCPGateway I got this:

Actually (for testing purposes) I have the email roberti at mycompany.com set in all fields of receiver mail adapter mail attributes (from, to, cc and bcc). I turned all of them on and of and analysed the result. It seems that the information whe put on ASMA overloads the information on these mail attributes. But, in mail attributes, we don't have a field for REPLY-TO, just on ASMA we have this field.
So... the problem is in REPLY-TO. It has not been set in mail adapter, even if I set it with dinamic configuration.

ICloud Mail on my iPad will not work or 3GS

I can't get any mail through my iPad or iPhone 3GS. I've set up a iCloud account on my iPad and it trys to get mail but nothing happens. On my iPhone 3GS it wants to me to pick who I have a account with. I pick iCloud nothing is happening. I have created a me account that through the settings but still having no luck. Try deleting the account, do a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe. And then try setting up the account again.

Hey, just a quick question ergarding emails "sent"
If I send or reply to and email on my mac it'll show in both my iphone and ipad in the sent folder, but if its sent from either of these it doesn't show up in the mac sent box?
Is there a fix for this?

on your iPhone and iPad go to settings/general/mail/accounts and look at the accounts. It will say how you set it up. On your iMac go to Mail/prererences/accounts and you will see the account description. If it's working OK for you and you aren't comfortable with setting up mail accounts it can get messy.

Some photostream images getting cropped on ipad, but not mac?

Not sure where to post this since it involves photostream behavior on Mac vs iPad? So my apologies if this is misplaced.
Recently some images that were imported into iPhoto on my Mac, and are automatically sent to Photostream, become cropped in photostream, or at least they appear to be cropped on both an iPad and on AppleTV 2nd gen, but look fine when viewing photostream on the Mac. What's weird is the pic is cropped on the iPad, but it is the same size (pixels) as is indicated on the Mac of the original (1,488 x 1,011). By "cropped" I mean that only a portion of the photo is visible (just wanted to clear that up since the pixel count seems to be the same, so not the conventional form of cropping). Several pics behave this way, and they all seem to be ones that started life as scanned images of old prints, although not ALL of the scanned pics behave this way... only a few.

No need to do a screen capture. The cropped image in photostream on the iPad can be exported to the mac. I ran some samples tonight. Pardon the content of the pic - it is a greeting card... no one i know.
Scanned B&W and Color, in 3 resolutions: 150, 300, 600 dpi.
I now see that the limits in attaching pics here is pretty restrictive, so i've put them into a smugmug album:

note that the 150 and to a lesser extent, 300 dpi B&W scans are cropped (filenames are at the bottom of the image in the center), but all color scans look correct.
The process was...
scan on a Canon MX892 printer/scanner using Mac Image Capture in Mountain Lion,
import the files into iPhoto on the Mac,
put into photostream from iPhoto,
go to the iPad and export them from iPhoto / photostream as files to iTunes,
attach iPad to Mac to transfer the files to the Mac,
upload to Smugmug. (sounds worse than it is)

Salesforce third party works on Ipad but not mac

We use salesforce.com at work, to which I can access both from the Ipad & the Mac, But we have a third pary app the launches within Salesforce. This works on the Ipad but I get unable to access message in the mac.
I think there is a setting I need to adjust but I do not know which it is.

Bluetooth headeset works iPhone, iPad, but not Mac Mini?

I have a Jabra headset that pairly perfectly with my iPhone 4, my iPad 2 - but no matter what I try the headset won't pair to my 2011 Mac Mini at home or my 2008 imac at work. I have tried repeatedly to no success.
if you have any suggestions, I'd truly appreciate it.
I'd love to avoid buying another stereo headset for the desktops if possible.
