Mail receiver dynamic subject.

Hi,
I'm looking for a solution (not using mail package) for using data from the payload and putting it in the subject line..

Hi,
To set the subject dynamically first set the Adapter specific message attributes in the UDF
public String setSubject(String var1, Container container) throws StreamTransformationException{
   DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
   DynamicConfigurationKey parmValue;
   parmValue = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail", "THeaderSUBJECT");
                 conf.put(parmValue, var3);
   return var1;
In the receiver mail communication channel, go to advanced tab and tick the option of Use Adapter specific Message attributes and the Variable transport binding.
and enter under Variable header 1: THeaderSUBJECT
By this you can have the value from payload as you mail subject.

Mail received as subject line [Bulk]

A lot of my mail comes into my mailbox as [Bulk].
I have tried adding the email to my address book, I have tried deleting the message and having it resent, no matter what the [Bulk] does not go away.
The only reason this bugs me is because mail gets sent to my BlackBerry. If a message is [Bulk], it never comes to my BlackBerry.
Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

I've had this problem...intermittenly...for a few months. (Never before OS 10.5)
In my case, a weekly newsletter to almost 1,100 bcc recipients.
Sometimes it works just fine.
Sometimes...and more, recently...the subject line disappears and many recipients don't get it.
The subject line is usually fewer than 30 characters, though it's a mix of letters, numbers, and,
God forbid, an apostrophe.
VERY frustrating. If you search these boards, you'll find this question has been raised...and unanswered....before, except for one claim that the problem has been fixed in an update to 10.5.
Not in my experience....

Dynamic subject in AS2 receiver

I have a scenario in which i am sending data to third party using AS2 adapter.
My scenario is PROXY->XI->AS2. In AS2 receiver adapter I need to use dynamic subject.
For that I have used adpater module "localejbs/Seeburger/AttribMapper"
*PARAMETER NAME:-- http://seeburger.com/xi/common/dtSubject*
PARAMETER VALUE:-- DYNSUBJECT
while mapping in IR I am passing one field(strSubject) as input data to the below code:-
DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
DynamicConfigurationKey keySubject = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://seeburger.com/xi/common/dtSubject", "DYNSUBJECT");

The value of strSubject should be the subject in AS2 message.
The scenario is working fine but I m getting below error in communication channel:
Exception caught by adapter framework: AttribMapper:Could not evaluate expresion DYNSUBJECT . Error: Unexpected token <EOT> at position 0. ( expected

Send mail through dynamic action, but the subject line and content is blank

Hi all,
I'm facing one problem on sending mail throught dynamic action.
Whenever a new employee is hired, the system will trigger a mail to the administrator.
The mail can successfully reach the email address. But the title and the content of the mail are missing. I can receive an email with a PDF attchment. But when I open this PDF file, it's blank inside.
In t-code "SO10", I created a new mail text with name of Z_MAIL, for my mail, insteading of using the SAP standard one.
When I using the SAP standard mail text, it works and I can see the content. But even I copy and paste the exact the content of the standard one to my own new mail text, it will not work.
And I have to use my own customized mail text. So, is there any one knows about this issue? Any more setting I should do? Or is there some tricks?

Send XML File as attachement in Mail Receiver adapter

Hi all,
i have the following scenario. i would like to read an XML file from the file system and send this file as an attachement of a mail to a mail receiver specified in this file.
i would like to fill the payload of the mail with some information from the xml file and in addition i would like to send the complete xml file as an mail attachement.
can anybody tell me, how the mail receiver adater needs to be specified ?

Hey,
you can go for dynamic configuration of mail adapter.
In this you need to import a mail structure.
mail details such as to, from, subject and content of the mail are a part of the structure.
In your ID check the Use Mail package and also keep attachments.
Now you can give your details in mapping itself.
whatever you want to map in the content of the mail, map it in the content field.
also your file will behave as an attachment.

Our requirement is that we want the Dynamic Text in the Subject Line of the mail, whether is it possible ?
I tried with the putting &, but it displays only the Trxn Number.
Example : In Subject line we need Trxn Description, Customer No, Customer Name

but when I select the option KEEP ATTACHMENT in the Mail Receiver Adapter and sending only the Content data without any attachment coding as shown in this Blog then also i am getitng attachment(.txt) file and no mail content. In this case i have used the following R/3 coding.

Mail receiver adapter: THeaderREPLY-TO not working on ASMA

I'm trying to set some adapter specific message attributes (ASMA) in a mail receiver adapter.
Two properties I'm trying to set: THeaderFROM e THeaderREPLY-TO.
The first one is working great, the second one does not work.
My scenario is Soap to Mail. I send a soap message, in the message mapping a user defined function get the mail address (to and reply-to) and set it with DinamicConfiguration like this (hard coded to be simple):
DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration)container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail", "THeaderREPLY-TO");
conf.put(key, "reply.to at teste.com";);
DynamicConfigurationKey from = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail", "THeaderFROM");
conf.put(from, "from at teste.com";);
As in the documentation, it should work. But the mail message reaches the mailbox with mime header Return-Path = from at teste.com.
Reading all the notes related to mail adapter (and adapter module processing) I found the tool TCPGateway to monitor what is going from adapter engine to the mail server. So I changed a little the scenario to test it and now the scenario is Soap->TCPGateway->MailServer. In the TCPGateway I got this:

Actually (for testing purposes) I have the email roberti at mycompany.com set in all fields of receiver mail adapter mail attributes (from, to, cc and bcc). I turned all of them on and of and analysed the result. It seems that the information whe put on ASMA overloads the information on these mail attributes. But, in mail attributes, we don't have a field for REPLY-TO, just on ASMA we have this field.
So... the problem is in REPLY-TO. It has not been set in mail adapter, even if I set it with dinamic configuration.

I am creating a scenario in my test environment Http -- > XI ---> Mail. The http client sending messages to XI successfully. I want to send messages to my gmail account. For that in the receiver communication channel the following items are configured.
I have only one message type with name and id as elements for both inbound and outbound message types.
Adapter Type: Mail, Receiver
Mail Server URL: smtp://smtp:google.com
Configure User Authentication is checked in
Authentication Method: Plain
User: xxxxxx
password:xxxxx
From: [email protected]
to: [email protected]
subject: test subject
When I send a message from http client to XI, getting the below error.

Please help me to resolve the above issue/error.

1. create your directory configuration using directory wizard
and you'll be sure that everything will be ok
2. make sure you use outbound asynchronous message interface (for mail)
3. make sure you check quality of service to Exacly once

i use the mail receiver adapter with "mail package" for setting dynamic attachment names.
The attachment always gets 3 "cr/lf" lines at the end? Why and how can i stop that?

Receive a mail with attachment and send it as it is via Mail-receiver

we have PI/7.0
I have a scenario with a mail-sender.
I get mails with attachments and depending on the subject I have to send some mails to an other mail-address via mail-receiver-adapter.
My problem is, that I have to send it "as it was" - with all attachments (and the correct attachment names) and the original mail-body.
I tried to check the checkbox "keep attachments": I got all attachments but the original mail-body was now an extra attachment (with the extension .xml).
I don't wanna have this new attachment!
What can I do?

I entered all address-informations (from, to,...) in the fields displayed after the checkbox for "use mail package".

Mail Receiver Adapter Attachment Content Encoding

Hello to all,
we use a mail receiver adapter to sent XI messages as email. Everything works fine but the content encoding of the attachment is set to UTF-8. I need ISO-8859-1 instead of UTF-8. How could I achieve this ?
