Mail redirect rule only redirects mail from certain domain!!!

Hi all,
I set up a rule in Mail to redirect EVERY message to a certain email address (for backup/storage purposes) However it only redirects emails from email addresses with the same domain as my email (eg will redirect mydomainname.com but not otherdomainname.com
Why is this??? Any ideas on how to fix it??? It is getting the mail from an Exchange server if that helps any...

Thanks for the welcome!
Ok so here are some screenshots...
Here is the screenshot of the rule details
Here is the main rules window
And here is a screenshot showing how some are redirected and some are not (the ones that are redirected (and the one that shows the forward icon (it was forwarded before I set up the redirect rule)) are all from the same domain as my email account.
Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi,
    I have a new problem
    I can't receive external email. The receive connector that i have is the following:
    Default Frontend NAME.NL
    TlS, Basic verification, Basic after TLS, Intergrated, Exchange verification. groups: Exchange-server,
    exchange-user and anon
    This should be enough to receive external mail right? If I test it with gmail or hotmail I get the message: Mail delayed

    Hi,
    Is there any update?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Please follow Luke and Shelly’s suggestion to check your SPF record and Send Connector configuration. Also you can post the complete NDR message(with NDR status code) here for further analysis.

  • Filter set to pass mail from legit domains?

    The address (I have many) I use with professional and social networking sites has fallen into the spam space. Using Apple Mail 5.2 I'd like it to consider all mail *not* from certain domains to be considered spam.
    In the filter Rules I see the qualifier "Sender is not in my Address Book"  but these legit domains send many e-mails and are often slightly different.  What is constant is the domain name (Facebook, Linkedin etc). Is there a way to tell Apple Mail that everything sent to a certain mailbox is Junk except mail for a handful of domains?
    Thanks in advance,
    Paul

    Try this rule:
    "If [All] of the following conditions are met" - "From" -  "Does Not Contain" - <the appropriate domain name> with one entry for each domain - "Move Message" to mailbox "Trash".
    Regards.

  • How do I configure OS X Server (Mountain Lion) to deliver mail from another domain to my mailbox?

    How do I configure OS X Server (Mountain Lion) to deliver mail from another domain to my mailbox?
    I run a personal Server at my office. It's configured under my own domain as server.mydomain.com. It's setup that it properly receives and sends e-mail for mydomain.com. I use my own mailbox [email protected] to get all my personal mail.
    I'm looking to add another domain as a secondary way for people to get to my content and information.
    I want the same address [email protected] and [email protected] to arrive in the same mailbox at my server.
    How do i do that?

    it does look like you can add virtual domains in the GUI of Server.app on at least some versions, but I don't have an OS X Server 10.8 version handy to check.
    I'd encourage spending some time to learn the command line.  In general, the payoff for learning the command line will be worth the effort expended.  You're running a mail server here and sooner or later the capabilities of the GUI will fail you.  This whether due to a configuration omission in the GUI itself, or due to the need to troubleshoot a malfunctioning mail server, a need to automate one or more of the Postfix-related sequences, or some other IT-related task.  Entirely FWIW, of course.
    Here's a cut-and-paste of the sequence just used to test the command line access to the Postfix configuration, first fetching the current value, appending example.com as the second domain, then displaying the new value, then restarting the Postfix server.  Don't enter the dollar signs; just the postconf command and following.  Adjust example.com to match your domain...
    $ postconf mydestination
    mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain, localhost
    $ sudo postconf -e 'mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain, localhost, example.com'
    Password: {your admin password here}
    $ postconf mydestination
    mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain, localhost, example.com
    $ sudo postfix reload
    The Postfix and Postconf commands work irrespective of the OS X Server version; the tools reference the data files as needed.

  • Not recieveing email from certain domains

    Hi,
    I am having trouble getting to the bottom of an issue which I have had for a couple of weeks now.
    We are unable to receive email from certain domains. The big problem is our sister company no one on there domain is unable to send to any party on our domain, this has only just started happening this morning, however email delivery form other domains has
    been problematic for about two weeks now. We are receiving plenty of email form other parties still.
    Our sister company is not getting any bounce backs and I have checked the message tracking within Exchange 2008 and I am unable to see any email come in at all from our sister company.
    It is worth mentioning that the host of our domain is having a number of issues with "Nameserver" when I check on intodns.com and I'm not to sure if this is the problem or not, however we are currently in the process of transferring away form
    them and setup with the same host as our sister company. The transfer hasn't happened yet as our current host hasn't released the tags.
    Has anyone got any ideas that can help please??

    What's the path from the sister company to your company?
    Is it direct? Or does incoming email first transit through some online spam filtering service (like Postini).
    Can the sister company connect using telnet?

  • 10.5 - 10.6.2: Postfix not accepting e-mails from certain hosts

    Hi
    Two days ago we migrated our server from 10.5 Server to a new Mac mini server running 10.6.2 server.
    We are now facing the problem that postfix refuses to accept incoming e-mails from most hosts. Some hosts seem to be able to get through, but so far we haven't be able to identify a pattern.
    The transfers just times out with various error messages. Below is one of the shorter transscripts. Any ideas where to start looking?

    Hi again,
    I was able to further narrow down the problem. The remote server is sending a complete message but postfix on our mac doesn't recognize the end of message token, thus timing out the connection after 5 minutes.
    Any ideas? Is this a postfix issue? If so, what can we do about it.

  • Not receiving mails from certain email addresses

    I am sending & receiving the majority or my mails without any problems but there are a few email address from which I am being sent mails that I am not receiving. They are not being notified that I am not receiving the mails either.
    Could they be blocked on Mobile me? How can I unblock these addresses and retrieve the mail?
    Thanks,

    Yep, that's very typcial of mail from lists...
    In Outlook open the message, click on File/Properties, and you'll see a box labled "Internet Headers".  I usually copy that out and paste it to Notepad to make it easier to read...
    You'll find that there are different addresses in the vairous headers.
    This is NORMAL for some types of list mail.

  • Not receiving e-mail from certain addresses

    I've never had this problem before, but I'm not receiving any emails that come from the community college e-mail system where my husband works. I used to receive them, but today, three different people tried to send me an e-mail from the same place, and I didn't receive them. They aren't in my spam folder. What else should I check? Thank you. The e-mail addresses are from [email protected] Thanks!

    Comcast Security Assurance should be able to help you with this. Call them at 1-888-565-4329 (from http://constantguard.comcast.net/dedicated-support/). Note that this is NOT one of the regular customer service numbers.
    The first-line reps there are sometimes not very helpful. If so, be persistent, and keep at them until you get a satisfactory answer.

  • HT203528 Not receiving mail from certain email address

    hi looking for help here I have 2 email address that where put in the junk but are not , I moved the email address to the inbox but then they stopped even coming threw to the junk?... I then thought if I made up a rule to go to a certain folder for this email address I would be happy with this but even this doesn't work and it's taking some times 4-5 hours for me to revive this email address , the server at there end is fine as they send this email to a group and my hotnail account recives it instantly

    Any error message provided and if so, what?
    Are the message headers available in your account's Inbox mailbox and when selecting a message to view it, the content is not shown?
    Is your account a POP or IMAP account?

  • SBS 2011 - Using Exchange / Static IP - Cannot send e-mails to certain domains

    Hi,
    Client is running SBS 2011 using Exchange to send and receive e-mails.  For some reason 5 days ago they got call from clients stating they had not received e-mails from them (stpeterdeland.org). I ran the online Exchange Analyzer - (No errors). The
    strange thing is the client was not receiving "NDRs". i talked with one IT admin for one of the domains. He saw our e-mails being held up by his spam filter and has since "White Listed" the domain IP (65.34.20.210).
    I also ran Exchange BPA - No problems noted. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Frank
    Frank

    You have your answer: spam filtering. The clue was 'no NDR', when emails disappear without trace, it is almost always because something has designated them 'spam'.
    You can't really do much about this unless you know why the emails are being flagged. Possibly your contact can help here, most anti-spam systems do explain why they mark down particular emails. Spam filters use many criteria, some of them even rational.
    I once found that a client's emails were disappearing because of a picture used as a signature: it was a .jpg file, and the problem was solved by substituting a .png file. That's one hint: do not include files which can carry malware, or at least not unless
    zipped, preferably with a password. Unfortunately, there are not many file types which cannot include malware. Outlook drops broad hints if you try to attach certain files, and suggests you might wish to reconsider.
    Another minus is the use of HTML email, which is unfortunately almost universal now. Plain text emails are less likely to get the thumbs-down, but I'm not sure if the MS webmail can even originate plain text emails. Obviously, there are certain words to
    be avoided, and I won't mention any here, but many apparently innocent financial and entrepreneurial words will bump up the spam score. Multiple exclamation marks, lots of upper case, the list is endless. I was once trying to help a client's salesman set up
    a VPN connection, and had my email killed by Yahoo because it contained a URL and some other networking information.
    The only really certain way to find out why emails have been dropped is to ask the admin of the recipient, or of any smarthost used on the way. You do have to hope that they actually have an admin to ask...
