Mail Redirector Software lost

Hello,
I have a BB Bold 9000 on my Pc there was a program to redirect the e--mails to my BB.
My Pc has been formatted. When i install the Software  that is on the CD (CD Blackberry User Tools) the only thing that is installed is the Desktop Manager.
I am 100% sure that there was a second program for redirecting the e-mails.
I am using the BB with a pop3 acount in BIS.
Does anybody has advise how i can install the missing software or where do i can download it.
I have removed everything and reinstalled again but the software is not installed. I dont remember how i did it the first time.
Thanks
DCA

Its not hard to configure the option......
When you installed the BB desktop manager, you selected the PERSONAL EMAIL integration method.  if you choose to use the BB desktop redirector, during inital setup, you must select Corporate Email or Enterprise Option.... jusdt uninstall and try over using the correct selection, you will now see an Email Settings Option on your desktop manager.
Hope that helps!

  • Mail, Safari, Software Update fail to launch after last update.

After my last software update which included an update for Quicktime, iTunes and two other programs I ran Age Of Empires and left it running for a period of time.
The computer froze hard and I had to hold the power button in to restart it.
From that point I cannot get Safari, Mail, or Software Update to start. They launch, but about a second into the process they quit unexpectidly and will not re-open.
When I try to run Safari or Mail through the terminal it comes up with the following:
Last login: Sat Jul 14 13:51:39 on ttyp1
    /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari; exit
    Welcome to Darwin!
    wilbur-purdues-imac-g5:~ wilbur$ /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari; exit
    Segmentation fault
    logout
    [Process completed]
I cannot figure this out and don't know what the steps are that I should go through to fix this one.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Miriam,
I read the selection in MacFixit and went through the steps that they suggested.
I even downloaded MacOSXUpdCombo10.4.10PPC.dmg and when I went to re-install it the program Installer quit unexpectedly in the same manner that Safari, Mail, and Software Update did.
I also noted that when I tried to start either Safari or Mail using the terminal (I don't have much expertise in this area) they stated that there was a segmentation fault
Here is what was on the terminal screen:
Last login: Tue Jul 17 12:28:25 on ttyp1
    /Applications/Utilities/Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Installer; exit
    Welcome to Darwin!
    wilbur-purdues-imac-g5:~ wilbur$ /Applications/Utilities/Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Installer; exit
    Segmentation fault
    logout
    [Process completed]
It seems that I can install other programs using Installer, but I cannot do the upgrade. Maybe I have the wrong file.
Thanks for the support so far.

  • Changed email from pop to imap in entourage 2008 and apple mail and have lost a lot of messages

Changed email from pop to imap in entourage 2008 and apple mail and have lost a lot of messages. I am a rookie and don't know what to do to correct the situation

I found this great set of mail AppleScripts:
    http://homepage.mac.com/aamann/Mail_Scripts.html
It includes one script to delete duplicate messages. So if we can't find a way to do this right, then I'll just download all the duplicates then delete them. Of course I don't want to actually do that, lets call this the nuclear option.
So can anyone think of a way to make an IMAP account for my gmail without it downloading all the messages again that I have already downloaded?

  • Mail, Safari, Software Update all quitting

Was previously having no problem with my Mac or any of these applications but since I installed SAFARI 3.1.1 THE FOLLOWING HAPPENS.
    1. When i try to open safari immediately a box appears telling me it has unexpectedly quit. No amount of retrying will open it.
    2. On trying to open MSN a box appears telling me it has unexpectedly quit. No amount of retrying will open it.
    3. When trying to open mail it will open for about 2 seconds, enough for me to see the mailboxes but when it tries to access and check for new mail it quits. Again no amount of retrying makes any difference.
I can check my .mac account using Firefox but what is really killing me here is that I cannot access my business pop account via mail.+ all the settings for my pop account are stored in an email, in mail, which I cannot open.
I have run Tech tool, Disk utility, checked file permissions, dumped the application preferences, reset the pram and all to no avail. Have Apple really messed up with this Safari update? Can it be causing problems in other applications which need to access servers over the internet as well? Really really need some help here. Why do I suspect Safari it is the only thing that has been installed on my machine for months apart from the recent firmware update.
Just have to add this now. Just tried opening "software update" and it quit as the others. Maddening!
Really really need some help here.
    Thanks
    Thanks

    OK
so now Dictionary is quitting as well, same as the others. Does it connect to the internet or share any components with Safari or Mail (spell checking?). I desperation I tried searching with Sherlock. Guess what? It quits as it tries to open.
Also just tried to update my entourage. The installer wont work either. Quits like the others
The list of broken applications now is is.
    Mail
    Safari
    Software Update
    iweb
    Garageband
    iMovie
    iPhoto
    .mac preferences
    Application installers
    Dictionary
    Sherlock
    Microsoft update
    MSN
I am tempted to go through all my applications (i checked a few!) and utilities and see how much of Apple's software is actually still working since I updated Safari.
This is desperate. Am I alone out there?

  • Mail encryption software?

Looking for Mail encryption software that will work from OS X to Windows and back again.
    bob

Go to InstantSSL and request a free S/MIME signing certificate. It's valid for a year, only for the address you specify. You'll be prompted to set a revocation password, which you'll need if you ever want to stop the key from being trusted. I suggest you save the password as a secure note item in the keychain.
Click the link in the message you'll receive at that address. A file named "CollectCCC.p7s" will be downloaded in your web browser. Double-click the file. It will open in Keychain Access. Confirm that you want to import the keys it contains.
Two items will be added to the keychain you specify. Both are named "Key from secure.instantssl.com". One is of typeprivate key and one is of type public key. You'll want to delete those items when the key expires or is revoked.
Quit and relaunch Mail. When you next compose a message from the certified address, you'll have the option to sign it.
The first time you sign a message with the new certificate, you'll be prompted to allow Mail to use it in the keychain. Click Always Allow.
    Important:
You must quit and relaunch Mail before the certficiate will be recognized.
Mail that is only signed is not encrypted; anyone can read it. The recipient can be reasonably sure that it came unaltered from a person who receives mail at the sender's address. That is not proof of the sender's identity.
To encrypt messages, the recipieint must already have gone through a similar setup process, and you must know his or her public key. The key can be sent to you in the clear, attached to a signed message, but again, you have no proof of the sender's identity. All you know is that he can receive mail at the specified address.

Thunderbird just done an update on my computer but now in e mails iv`e lost all my folders I had, For example I had a folder for my receits and other e mails I wanted to keep.

can you provide a bit more info before you do anything.
I'm presuming this is a pop mail account - please confirm.
First, make sure hidden files and folders are visible:
The AppData folder is folder is a hidden folder; to show hidden folders, open a Windows Explorer window and choose "Organize → Folder and Search Options → Folder Options → View (tab) → Show hidden files and folders".
    * Help > Troubleshooting Information
    * click on 'show folder' button
    * click on 'Mail' folder.
    * Please post image of the contents of the 'Mail' folder.
    In thunderbird:
    * right click on mail account name and select 'Settings'
    * Select 'Server Settings' for the mail account
    * Look bottom right for 'Local directory'.
    * Put mouse cursor in the text box, then use keyboard arrow keys to navigate to the far right..some of the directory will be hidden as it does not fit it all in, so keep going to the right until you reach the end.
    * Then left click, hold down and move mouse to the left to highlight the entire entry.
    * Right click on highlighted area and select Copy.

  • Safari, Mail, and Software Update won't launch

I've tried downloading Safari 3 but my iMac needed to be 10.4+. As a result my Safari, Mail , and Software Update will not launch. When I click either one it will just do 1 or 2 bounces and will not open. No error message pops up.My Firefox browser does work so it can't be a internet problem.
This is what comes up on Console when I try to open Safari.
Safari can't open library: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/SyndicationUI.framework/Versions/A/Syndicatio nUI (No such file or directory, errno = 2)
    Does anyone know a solution?
    Thank you.

That's probably because Safari 3.1 introduced a webkit that your Panther applications can't use.
Go to HD/Library/Packages, and delete the package for Safari 3.
Then go to HD/Library/Receipts and delete any reference to Safari 3.
Then go to Home/Library/Preferences and delete
    com.apple.Safari.plist
Now re-install your previous version of Safari from your install disk (the one that came with your Mac).
    Repair permissions and reboot.

  • Lost mail in software update

After software update I lost my apple mail   I tried to update to a new mail update and it says i need more hardrive

How large is your HD and how much availble space does it have? If it's full then you need to remove or move files to an external HD. The most common item to use lots of hard disk space is media such as music (iTunes library), photographs (iPhoto and/or Aperture) and movies. If you have large libraries of one or more of these then get an EHD and move the libraries to the EHD.

  • Mail Preferences and lost Messages

Had an issue after a software update: finder constantly relaunches. Tried, PRAM zap, reinstall sys, removing com.apple.finder.plist preference. Nothing worked.
Then I relocated my entire preference file. Now the problem is gone, it was some preference, I do not know which one.
Now I have to set up some programs again, or swap in the prefs from the old folder. The problem is that I have no mail boxes on my mac in mail. All of my messages from the years, catagorized into folders, are gone.
Looks like the first time I every opened mail. I have original prefs folder and all its contents, however if I swap the old prefs back into the lib, most prefs return on restart, however there is still nothing in mail and the finder relaunching error resumes.
Where did my mail go? Did new preferences for mail overwrite my entire mail archive? How can I find them? Where did they go?
Unfortunately I have been meaning to back them up ever since I lost the last backup. Too many good numbers in my emails, user names, passwords, activation codes, directions to Eden. I want them back!
    Ideas?

No real help from me I'm afraid but just had a call from my brother who was just lost all his mail setting and messages, mail is appears as if it was started for the first time. His Mail folders in the Library have his pop and mac account folders but no contents.
Have you checked if the messages are in your library? (Home > Library > Mail)

  • Mail update and lost inbox messages

I am new to Macs. When I opened my Macbook today it automatically started an update to Mail. when it was done my settings for my ISP changed (eliminated my account settings and all that's there now is .Mac which I signed up for as a curiosity but don't use) deleted my inbox, deleted my sent messages and seems to have left all my other message alone.
Is this a virus? How do I get my lost message back? I don't see any references to a mail software update when I do Google searches. As much as I dislike Outliook I have to say I've never experienced anything like this and I'm concerned. I may be at fault since I just used the Mail software and didn't spend a lot of time researching it. Did I do something wrong or is there something else wrong?
    macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

What’s the capacity and space available on your startup disk? Take a look at the comments about disk space in the following article, in case they apply to you:
Problems from insufficient RAM and free hard disk space
Even if there is enough space available on the startup disk, for some reason that remains a mystery to me, Mail sometimes “thinks” it must discard the current ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist preferences file and create a new one. As a result, all your non-.Mac account settings (but not the messages themselves), which are stored in that file, are lost.
Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what’s it all about?
After having fixed all filesystem issues, if any, and making sure that there’s enough space available on the startup disk (a few GB, plus the space needed to make a backup copy of the Mail folder), quit Mail if it’s running, and make a backup copy of the ~/Library/Mail folder, e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down, just in case something else goes wrong while trying to solve the problem. This is where all your mail is stored.
    You have three options now:
    (1) Restore com.apple.mail.plist from a backup if you have one. Mail shouldn’t be running while you do this.
    (2) Set up your non-.Mac accounts in Mail again. If given the option to import existing mailboxes or something like that, don’t. Just enter the account information and Mail will automagically rediscover the data in ~/Library/Mail/ when done. You’ll also have to re-configure most of your settings in Mail > Preferences. For spam-related security reasons, the first thing you should do is go to Preferences > Viewing and disable Display remote images in HTML messages if it’s enabled.
    (3) Mail may have renamed the old preferences file to com.apple.mail.plist.saved. If that’s the case, you may try moving the new com.apple.mail.plist out of ~/Library/Preferences/ (e.g. to the Desktop) and rename the old com.apple.mail.plist.saved back to com.apple.mail.plist. Again, be sure Mail isn’t running while doing this. Since Mail decided to discard it, I would expect this file to be corrupt (I don’t understand why would Mail discard it and create a new one otherwise), but apparently that often is not the case and the settings can indeed be restored by just renaming the file.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.

  • Mail smtp list lost after Yosemite upgrade

After updating to Yosemite 10.10.2 and the mail.app , now every email that I have to send doesn't have the SMTP list that i had. It lost everything and need to re-setup every account. What happens ? Really is the second time that I have a problem with Apple  mail app. I'm considering to move to my older mail software: Thunderbird. Never had a problem even changing machines.
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO recover that info with out resetting more than 25 emails accounts.....

This fixed it! I upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite this morning, and had a very pleasant experience for several hours, when Apple Mail suddenly crashed (Not responding).  I tried everything including reinstalling Yosemite, but Apple Mail does NOT OPEN.

  • Itunes software lost from PC

My PC was recently taken back to the factory settings and as a result I lost my itunes library and software. The uploaded tunes are still on the ipod but I can't link this to a PC with the new software on it as i think it will delete the music. Can anyone help?

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using a lot of the utilities your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers has been introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. The procedure is a bit involved and it won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. This is just a selection, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, they are generally quite straightforward. You can also read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    YamiPod Mac and Windows Versions
    iGadget Windows Only
iPod Access Mac and Windows Versions
    PodUtil Mac and Windows Versions
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
    TuneJack Windows Only
    CopyPod Windows Only
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up in case you have problems again. External drives are comparatively inexpensive these days and you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • A E-mail from my lost iphone4

My iPhone4 with Apple Care has been stolen last month, but I got a mail from apple today. It told me that my lost iphone4 was repaired in Nov 10th. But when I call the apple, they can not help me to find it? What can i do now?

Another way to find your iPhone:
    1) all phones include iPhone have ICID (or how it named)
    2) all phones have IMEI
You can try to go to your Carrier and ask them to provide you with information of device which using this IMEI (you can find it in backups or on box of iPhone), they can say you where your phone last attempts to connect to their stations, and then you can try to find your iPhone in location that carrier can provide to you

  • Mail deleted account lost inbox and sent mail

I was editing an account with on IT(not a MAC user) person yesterday to check my work mail from a diferent server. In the process my old work account got deleted so I lost all of my incoming and sent mail from the account that was deleted.
After that happened I started reading info on mail accounts and it says that will happen.
The question is is there any way to recover those email? I purchased Prosoft data recovery II today and have been looking thru recovered files but can not find what I am looking for.

Since you’ve already read other threads on this subject, I’ll spare you the details.
If the messages are not on the server, and you don’t have a backup, your only option in the case of Mail 2.x is to try to salvage as many deleted *.emlx files as possible with a data recovery tool such as Data Rescue II, TechTool Pro, or FileSalvage (the files to be recovered would be different in the case of Mail 1.x). Of these, the only one I know for sure that can recover deleted *.emlx files is FileSalvage.
