Each time there is an software update, mail cursor jumps on some emails,
it stops by performing repair disc permission is.
but this is annoying each and every time, can any 1 help on this pls.

Try a Safe Mode boot ...
Startup your Mac in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot takes longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from the Apple () menu.
Then try email.

Code View Scroll Bar Jumps + High Processor usage

In Code View, if you click at the bottom of the page -if the vertical scroll bar is present- the scroll bar jumps one or two lines up.
I know about another bug i.e Dw uses 15 to 30% of the processor at all times, I hope it'll get fixed soon or I'll have to find an alternative.
Lemme know if you know of any solutions.

When loading files in Bridge it starts to cache and keeps the focus on the selected file. Therefor scrolling without selecting the image below will mean the preview shows the first selected file and when rebuilding the thumbs in the content window it automatically puts the matching thumb in view. This is as designed.
However when there is no activity at all (importing and caching is done and the activity bar shows no action) it should work as expected. It also does so on my system

No scroll bar arrows in some Safari apps - is there a recent update on these much missed arrows?

I know, I know, there has been much discussion on these arrows. I have read most of it. But I am still using OS 10.6.8 and the arrows are missing in ALOT of the sites I use (Safari 5.1.10) (I have arrows in this forum and am thankful for it!). Yes, the up and down arrows work. No, there is no "General" in my System Preferences. Yes, I want the scroll bar arrows back everywhere! Writing to Apple won't help cause I don't plan on updating to any new version in the near future!

System Preferences - click and hold the 'Show All' button to see if General is listed there.

Mail sending but not storing some emails.

Hi there,
It's been two times this week that after I send an email (in both cases it's been responses for some other email) the email is sent (I can check the mail server's log and it's sent without issues, and I can hear the sent email sound) but the messages are not stored anywhere. Mail marks the original email I'm replying to as replied, but when I click on the arrow it says that it can't find the email, that it could have been deleted.
It's not something that happens all the time, but it never happened before and I don't know what's wrong. I haven't changed anything that I can recollect, neither on the account or the machines.
I'm using IMAP for this email account, and have 2 computers (this happened first on my Mac Pro, today on my Macbook Pro), my iPhone and also a webmail front to access that account. The sent email is not displayed anywhere, it's just as if I didn't write/send anything.
Any idea?

I wonder why a null Error (which for me would mean there was no error) was interpreted as an error?

Horizontal scroll bar jumps

Hi
When you execute the following code , you will see a table , drag or extend the column size of column D such that , you get a horizontal scroll pane
Now when you click on first,second or third column ( i.e row selection ) no problem
but if u select the fourth column i.e D , then the horizontal scroller jumps to right
any clue where this is done , i dont want this effect , is there a way to disable it ?

My Mail 3.6 (936), some emails show up blank

I have Mail 3.6 (936) and some emails won't show up in the preview window until I put them into plain text mode. Even then I lose any attachments they may have had. Is there a setting I don't know about or something?

Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
Note, in 10.5 & up /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/ may or may not exist.

ICal - long notes disappear/scroll bar problem

I'm having issues typing in long notes in iCal. When I'm typing in the "Note" field, and I'm typing a lot, at some point my text disappears below the bottom of the pop up box (e.g. the box doesn't keep scrolling down as I type). Then I have to manually click and drag the scroll bar down to reveal what I just typed. But if I start typing again, the scroll bar jumps back up, hiding what I'm typing again. Has anyone else experienced this?

Don't do that. That apparently guarantees the problem you have.
The Window size should be no larger than will fit on the user's screen, and the user running the lowest screen resolution should be your target. We create forms no larger than will fit on the 800x600 layout. Our forms always use the Real,Pixel coordinate system, and I create forms with the window size set to a maximum of 784x442. Those reduced numbers allow the form to fit within a browser window in web forms. Our forms run under both 6i Client/Server AND Web, and there is a pre-form that adjusts the web form window size a little larger, but that is all.
Also, when you run your form, that scrollbar you see is there because your window is not maximized. Our forms always maximize the window, and even have a when-window-resized trigger with this:

The wwr trigger ensures the user never sees the Window0 border -- it is useless unless you are running a form with multiple windows, which we never do.
So.... Maximize your Window0, and then you will see the behavior I have been describing. Create a stacked canvas with a vertical scrollbar, and it will behave even better.

A centred page moves about when scroll bar appears DW Cs5?

Hi everybody, I have noticed that when you have web pages centred, that the pages annoyingly move about when a scroll bar appears. Some times a page is longer than the browser window and so a scroll bar appears on the right which allows the viewer to scroll down.
But what happens is, it then centres the page in the centre of the space that is left after the scroll bar appears so the page jilts from to side to side according to whether the page has a scroll bar, obviously this looks rubbish.
Is there any code that can make the browser centre the page in the same place, so that the scroll bar eats into the space on the right side rather than pushes the whole page over to the left. ?

ScrollPane vertical scroll bar positioning

I have a ScrollPane that holds a number of number of sprites. The sprites are like rows and I would like them to fill the width of the ScrollPane.
My problem is that if there are not enough sprites to fill the vertical space of the ScrollPane, then no Scrollbar appears and there is a narrow gap left on the right side of the ScrollPane. If I make the sprites wider, when the vertical scroll bar does appear some of the sprite is cut off and the horizontal scroll bar appears (I never want the horizontal one to appear).
Is there a way to move the scrollBars? or perhaps another way to solve my issue?

Cannot see entire page without using the bottom scroll bar.

Cannot see the entire page without using the bottom scroll bar. Unfortunately some websites do not have the scroll bar and I am unable to complete my transaction because the area I need to click is on the right of the screen and that does not show on my page. If I change the view, the font is to small and it is blurry making in illegible.

Weird. Be sure zoom is to default value (press Ctrl+0 -zero- in FF). In addition, restart FF in safe mode, maybe an add-on is the culprit.

I'd like an alphabet scroll-bar for my folders in Mail. Will this be added anytime soon?

I've been using Mail for years and find it convenient for use across all devices, off-and online. I really like that I can place a rule so that each email will automatically be delivered into individual folders. This makes it easy to organize my emails for search purposes, and to keep a clean and relevant Inbox. Sometimes, depending on my internet connection....it can sometimes cease at home and my desktop will be in sleep mode, and my emails won't be automatically ruled into their appropriate folders. This is ok, because I just manually file them. However, I have many folders. It would be an added bonus if there is an alphabet scroll-bar in the folders source list to the left of the Mail app. screen.
It appears that so much time and energy has gone into renovating the Mail application throughout the years, and the clean design and ease of use is noticeable and appreciated. I feel they would be complemented by the scroll-bar.
I'm just wondering if Apple has this in mind for any new updates to Mail?

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
