Mail send and resend and resend and...

Hi, New Macbook Pro owner.
I send a message and have sent messages saved on server for my account. The message is successfully sent and then a copy appears in the outbox. If I don't delete it, it will resend each time I start Mail. If I turn off the Save Sent messages feature on the MobileMe account, then I can't see my sent messages, but the message does not appear in the outbox.
Any ideas?

Can someone answer this? I'm having the same problem as stated above. I ran a search and couldn't find a solution. I brought my macbook pro to my local apple store and was given the "I'm out to lunch" look and was left without resolution

According to your description, I know that the Exchange server can send/receive internally at beginning, however doesn’t work now. Please correct me if there is anything misunderstand.

Please make sure the Message Tracking has been enabled and run following command to output track log and check detail information:

How to build an E-mail sending and receiving application in Windows Azure?

I am a beginner Windows Azure Developer and I am trying to build applications like Gmail, Hotmail, YahooMail, etc. However, I am unable to build such an application. I have come to know how to send e-mail using SendGrid. Even, I don't know how to configure
to receive e-mails. Please help me on how to develop such an application in windows azure.

About how to send mail using sendgrid, I suggest you could try this tutorials firstly via smarx's blog(http://blog.smarx.com/posts/emailtheinternet-com-sending-and-receiving-email-in-windows-azure).
It supplied the method and code sample you could download . You may need create a listener to listen on the right port on workrole always.

Using Mail, sender and receiver addresses getting mixed.

I'm using the mail app for my company gmail account (@companyname.com) we have them set up for the whole office.
Well what appear to be normal when I write an email and sent it to the desired person, it will later say on their screen or mine that it was sent to entirely different people in my contacts. While the right people still receive the email I indented to send to them they or I see the wrong addresses. Making things very confusing as you can imagine. So for instance I'll send out an email to a client but will say that it got sent to two of my coworkers, however it didn't actually get sent to them, it got sent to the client but just says it went to the wrong people, furthermore on their screen it will say it was sent from a different person as well. Recently got a new macbook so I had to reset up my mail account and it seemed a little dodgy at first so I'm wondering if some got set up wrong and I need to clean out the whole mail accounts, wipe cache?

Mail sender and receiver scenario

Hi All,
I want to create one MAIL-MAIL scenario,in which I want to send mail message from one mail server and receive the transferred massage in same mail server.
But I am confused regarding XI's inbound and outbound message for this scenario.
What should be my outbound and inbound message type in this scenario?(if i want just to send one line from my mail)
And who will trigger this mail transfer?Do I need to create some settings on mail server?

Automator to select e-mail sender and copy text on excel

I need to use automator to select e-mail sender, extract specific text and append it on an excel sheet. is it possible?
I have OS Snow Leopard; Mail; a Master Excel 2011 file; several Output Excel 2011 files for the output
I want Automator to check daily if new mails, on a specific account, have been received that match the mail address with a given list of names and related mail address in the Master Excel.
If a new mail is present, Automator should: pick up specific text in the mail body; select and open the related Output Excel file (each output Excel file is saved with the name linked with the e-mail address in the Master Excel); append the text on the given worksheet in the Output Excel file; save the output file.
This should be done with all the received mails that match with the Master Excel file
Is it possible do this kind of thing with automator? may be with the support of VBA for some parts?
I would appreciate any suggestion or idea to resources to investigate

I had the same problem and it is a software bug.
SAP release for us a special sap note number 1278473 - "Followup E-mail doesnot contain text of Notes of Activity".
I dont know if this note was release for all customer, but you can open a message to sap asking help.
My message at sap was 946981/2008.

New mail: sender and subject dont match message

Has anyone encountered the problem i have at the moment. When receiving a new message, the sender and subject line are new, however when i open the message the main text is from emails I received months ago? its really strange, only appears to be happening on mail I open on my G5 , not on my laptop.

Nope, haven't seen nor heard of this one yet, but First I'd backup your whole Mail folder.
Try trashing this file first, then logout/in...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
If that doesn't work try the .plists in...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/

Mail sender and subject mismatch with message content

I have just started to find a few messages here and there that have a sender and subject which does not match the message content. The frequency of this behavior seems to be increasing. The senders are people I do get mail from and the message content looks like something I would receive from another recognized sender but they don't match. Anyone have any ideas?

User mail send and receive restrictions

Is it possible to restrict multiple user send and recieve function on outlook through exchange to between certain times in the day? For example the users may not send or receive mail between 8:00am an 10:00am to force them to concentrate on another task.

As Li Zhen suggested, you can set the send and receive quota using the cmdlet below on 8 am, and configure the send and receive quota back to normal on 10 am.
Set-Mailbox -Identity xxx -IssueWarningQuota xxx -ProhibitSendQuota xxx -ProhibitSendReceiveQuota xxx -UseDatabaseQuotaDefaults $false

Apple Mail send and receive problems, Network Solutions

Hello Everyone,
I'm currently facing a problem with a company email account that we have with network solutions.
NSmail Pro (IMAP) that is configured with apple mail. Here are the settings that i have:
Incoming mail: mail.(company.domain).com
Port: 110
SSL: No
Outgoing mail: smtp.(company.domain).com
Port: 2525
SSL: No
Auth: Password
Whenever i'm at the office, I can send and receive emails without any problems (Using mail app), but when i'm at home i can't receive emails nor send one.
I'm wondering if this has something to do with the Mail application, cause i can access the email using the webmail on a browser without any problems (either at home or at the Office).
Any thoughts from our experts?

I'm guessing that when you are at the office, you are probably accessing a company network and the company mail will only work with those settings on the company network. You may need to discuss this with your IT department at work to see if it need a different configuration for outside access.
The fact that it works at work and not at home indicates a that it surely an issue with the connection setup.
Assuming that you are accessing it through wi-Fi at both locations, do you have different wi-Fi connections set up on you Mac in Network Preferences, or is it the same wi-Fi connection used for both? In other words, do you have a specific wifi setup on your computer for connecting at the office?

What’s your Outlook account? Exchange account or some other Internet email accounts?
This issue is usually happened when the Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector account is syncing changes to a folder and cannot find the folder in the Outlook client. Please try the following KB to check it:

Problem with e-mail sending and arrival

Hello, friends,
My problem started about 15 days ago. Some e-mails simply do not come to my server or take hours or even days to come. I have a PIX 515-R with 8.0(2) software version and "inspect esmtp" is activated. When I ran "debug esmtp", I got some messages like this one: "SMTP: State kept, no EID to use!!!".
I tried to deactivate ESMTP inspection, but I got no results at all.
What is happening with my system? Do you have any glue?

Same problem as Angela_Watson: the mailto function on both e-mail button and standard button prints out two identical mail addresses in the to field in Lotus Notes. [email protected]@domain.com I see several posts on the subject, but no solution that works for me. Did anyone find a more elegant workaround than adding a comma?

Mail Sending and Outbox errors

I tried to look through old threads and find an answer to my question, but I haven't really read anything about how to fix this problem. I set up my Mail at the beginning of the summer when I got my MacBook with info for my Gmail email account. Everything was fine and I was able to send/reply/forward messages to other people. However, I just started school at UMBC and at first I was able to send. However, for the past two days my sent messages are not being sent and are being clogged in my Outbox. When I check my preferences, I see that my outgoing mail server reads "Gmail (offline)". I'm still getting incoming mail, but I'm not sure how to fix the "offline" problem. I've tried restarting the program and my computer, but the same keeps occurring.
The only thing I can think of is that to use UMBC's internet, you have to go through the intranet login pages first. I'm not sure if it's causing it or not, but it's becoming very inconvenient for me to have to open Gmail on the web and send my messages through there rather than through Mail.
Please help if you have any ideas! I'll keep checking the thread so I can provide with further information if needed.

Okay, I got mine to send (still shows as GMail Offline, though). Found this fix on the thread

The post by Nathan C. (the rest of the thread was not helpful).
The solution seems to be to set the outgoing mail server (smpt.gmail.com) port to 587 instead of 25.

Hi All,
We are trying to read mail from our MS exchange server.
When we execte the transaction, its throwing the error : connection refused.
But when we are trying to send mail, its not throwing any error and mail is sent successfully.
Are we missing any thing or there must be some firewall issue?

I agree with Rick. Sending the e-mail successfully means that the SMTP configuration is OK, and not receiving means POP3 settings are the issue. I would validate the "MailServer", "Port", "MailAccount", and "MailAccountPassword" properties you used in the Read Mail action with your administrator.

Mac Mail send and receive

Hi,
I have recently upgraded to Mountain Lion. My question is how does Mac Mail receive emails? I am connected to our Exchange 2007 server. I also have Outlook 2010 client running side-byside in Unity mode using Vmware. So now everytime I receive an email Outlook gets it first and about 2-5 minutes later Mail receives it. In order to receive it earlier I have to manually click on the Synchonise mail menu item.
Is there a way to manipulate the behaviour of Mail so it synchronises a bit sooner?
