Mail send error from Jive forum

Hi Gurus,
I have a problem:
in our portal implemented a jive forum, but we cannot send any mail from forum. The portal send mail (e.g. if I create a new collaboration room, I get the invite mail).
What should I configure to repair this bug?

Hi Dwa,
the configuration for the email notification of the Forums can be found in the Administration console from the forums (the Forum Administrator has it).

Error in Jive forum

Hi,
We installed jive forum last week, and configured diffent catgories and posted threads.
Now today after more users logged on all users get an error Javanullpointer. Whne I look in the NWA log it says
com.jivesoftware.forum.ForumThreadNotFoundException: Thread 11 could not be loaded from the database
The forume log says:
at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
Any ideas what this could be?

Scroll Bar removal from Jive Forums

Hi
We are currently on Netweaver 7.0 SP15. We have downloaded Forums from service market place and deployed into our landscape. All the functionallities are working fine except that I get additional Vertical Scroll Bar.
Has anyone else implemented this and we are using Light Framework Page.
please advice.

Mail send only from one mailbox out of three

Hi,
I run Mail 7.3 on OS 10.9.4. I have 3 different mailboxes and Mial stopped sending from the different mailboxes and uses only one. I went to preferences and ensured this specific mailbox was not selected but that the setting to send from the selected mailbox was used. I even tried to use a different setting, selecting to send from a specific mailbox...still the same. Send always from the same one whatever the parameter selected. Any idea how to solve this problem ?

Try going to Mail/Preferences/Accounts/Account information and click the SMTP sever, choose edit and make an SMTP server linked to each e-mail address. If you still have problems, check use only this server.

How can I stop getting 30 - 50 "Mail Administrator" or "Mail Delivery Errors" from occorring in my e-mail on a daily basis

Every time I log in to my e-mail I see 30 to 50 "mail delivery" errors. This is very frustrating to each time having to delete those items. I have blocked and clicked on spam, but there is no change.

For goodness sake, it is most likely [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backscatter_%28email%29 backscatter], changing your mail password probably will not help but is a prudent thing to do, but it is actually quite unlikely that anyone is trying to use your mail account.
There is basically nothing that can be done about backscatter, as the article I linked to advises.

Send error from Java to Flex

I need to throw errors from Java and to receive them in Flex.
My idea is using xml with error id and message, and maybe the Flex
component which should show the error.
Is there any other way to do it? Another interaction between
Java and Flex?

Guest user logging on automatically from jive forums quick link

Hi,
we are facing two problems with Jive Forums
1. Whenever I am trying to acecss Jive forums using the quick link it is automatically logging in with Guest user
2. I can see that no formatting is available this means I can see forms like general text not at all formatted.
could anybody let me know the solution. we are on EP 7.0 SP19

Mail sending error

Hi,
i am oracle 8.1.7 in HP UX B.11.11.If i am going to send a mail by using this command means i am receiving the following error.
Mailx -s username@
Error:
after the @ command it will go the next line, after that i am not able to give my domain name.

You are doing this outside Oracle Database. I.e. from the HP UX command prompt.
Example:
To send contents of the file test.txt to the email username@yourdomain with the subject "Testing"
mailx -s "Testing" username@yourdomain < test.txt

Hi Anil,
There are several OSS Notes that relate to CL SMTP RESPONSE ESMTP, as well as several that appear to be related to XS829. You should try looking at those first - or if they don't apply, please let us know.

Mail sending error need help, thanks a lot.

I have such kind of trouble several days when I send email via Apple's mail program.
Meantime my email recieving is fine. The email configuration just one, so I wonder why recieving is OK but sending of email could Not work.
My OSX version is 10.9.1, and Email server is based on MS exchange 2010.
Much appreciated if anybody could help me on this issue. Any clue and troubleshooting progress could be shared with me. Thanks in advance.

Likely you have the sending confirguration wrong.
Note: i dont use Mail for Ecchange - i run outlook.
But in any event, exchange is a modified IMAP protocol, and i believe Mail uses activ sync.
You have independent send and receive cpnfigurations it is perfectly possible to receive fine adn not be able to send.
Go to mail --> preferneces --> accounts
Open the exchange account.
Ender "accpunt information" click on "outgoing SMTP server" (SMTP is the protocol for outgoing mail - where your problem is).
Pull don the list and reveal "edit server list"
Now, find your Echange outgoing server and make sure that every single paramater - address, port, security, login, pasword etc is as needed. Ask you admin if needed.
Alternatively, delete your preferences file and start all over. You should nto lose exhcnage or IMAP mail nt he process. Thatis in users/you/library/preferences. To reveal the users/you/library folder requires that you go to "go" int he finder's menu bar at the top of the screen and press option. Magically, Library will appear.

Mail send error in Oracle UCM Test Mail/Notifications

I have configured workflows which need approval. While the documenr is checked in the notification should be fired to the reviewer. But the mail notification is not working.
Also I have tried to login as sysadmin and tried the Administration -> Actions -> Send test mail link but it pops up the following message/exception.

Hey Prashant,
In UCM you cant send an email directly to a mail address. What you need to do it add user and provide that user with correct email address.
and at all place in to field you need to mention name of the user, not his email address.
while testing the email send the mail to sysadmin
then you would not face any problem.

Advise would be 'wait' before you start seeking alteranatives like yahoo, hotmail, etc. This definitely is a convenient way to keep all your 'cloud' information in a centralized place, including the common email...
