Mail: Sending, with recipient names sorted alphabetically

When sending to a large group, after typing a group name in the cc/bcc field, I want to remove some recipients. It is much easier to do this if the recipients are sorted alphabetically. How do I force alphabetical sort (either ascending or decending)?

  • Issue with how Mail displays sender and recipient names in message list

    Hi everyone!
    I've been looking for a solution but had no luck so far.
    Here's the issue:
    In Mail, the sender email address or the recipient name would sometimes be displayed twice between chevrons.
    For example, sometimes in my sent folder, in the "To" column, the recipient name is displayed twice like this <[email protected]> <[email protected]> whereas it used to be displayed once and without chevrons. This happened since i have reinstalled Snow Leopard (clean install).
    Hope someone can help.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    I am using a Task Control Factory to create Task Control Instances in aloop
    and then
    create tasks and assign them to a predefined group. I have an event choice
    for two events
    waiting for the onTaskCompleted and onTaskAborted event call backs.
    I have two such operations (of task creation) in the same loop. For
    simplicity I have used two separate task factory controls for each of the
    tasks (because I even had worse problems using a single control factoryfor
    both tasks in the same loop).
    When I instantiate the process, through work list I am able to claim,start
    and complete the first task. When I try the same procedure (claim, startand
    complete) on the second task, the the event choice for the corresponding
    task receives 2 event call backs. First it receives the onTaskCompleted as
    expected, but then it also received another call back of the same typewhich
    displays the error on the server log as:
    <Sep 24, 2003 9:43:56 AM EDT> <Warning> <WLW> <000000> <on process
    completion, 1 undelivered messages to

    Does anybody know why two events are fired for the same work list action?

  • Mail arbitrarily changes sender or recipient names!!!

    I have realized that Mail 4.0 changes sender and/or recipient names on a lot of my emails under SL: if I check the actual email address it is the correct, intended one, but the associated name is taken randomly from address book!!!
    I was wondering if anyone has been experiencing similar issues.

    Ok, even more info: My actual Address Book is perfectly fine. But if I hit the "Address" button in Mail.app, thats when I get the corrupt/mismatched list of e-mail addresses. This is strange as I would think this list would pull from the same place the actual Address Book application pulls from. Perhaps there is some sort of cache that can be reset or something? Clearing "Previous Recipients" did not work.

  • Mail Sending- with Unicode enabled text in the attachment

    hi,
    i have a specific requirement for JAPAN country. its as follows:
    i am retrieving delivery details into my program & i need to send them as in a mail attachment(as CSV file) to particular mail id.
    for sending mail, i am using the function module "SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1".
    here is my problem :
    as this program will be used by JAPAN people, some of the delivery details are stored in Japanese (text like Customer name,street address etc..)
    .so when i am trying to send it as attachment these japanese text is not appearing correctly in the mail attachment. its appearing as Junk characters.
    i observed here the problem is may be because these Texts are not sending with UNICODE format. may be the default format is ASCII, which can not
    interpret Japanese text properly.
    so pl let me know is there any new function module where we can mention the Encoding format like UNICODE ?? or can i use the
    same above mentioned function module with providing this UNICODE value somewhere....
    regards

  • Two mail accounts with same name and SSL not allowed?!

    Dear Common Wisdom:
    I have two accounts in my Mail program with the same web host. That means the outgoing mail server has the same name.
    If I put on SSL, though, it is not allowed to save two servers with the same name in two different accounts.
    Can I get around this and still use SSL for both accounts?
    Thanks!

    Each domain is expected to refer to its own unique database schema. Same SOA schema should not be shared by multiple SOA clusters/domains. It is technically possible though, I suppose, and still can run fine any one SOA environment at any given time with the other SOA environments/domains (sharing the same SOA schema) shutdown. It is not the general/recommended practice to share SOA schema across domains and there could be potential implications and unexpected behavior, particularly when the SOA environments pointing to the same schema are all running at a time.

    Hi all
    Hope to get some help with Elements Organizer.
    I have 12-15 years of digital photos that I now want to import into my newly aquirede Adobe Elements Organizer / Photoshop. Since my Nikon names the files with continous numbers from 0001 to 9999 I have multiple files with the same name although they are not alike at all. My previous software had no problems with that since I keep the photos in separate file folders based on import date. I generally import photos after each event and so name the folder with the date and some event info (e.g. 2014.12.24 - Christmas at grandparents).
    That is a common situation, I have the same limitation for files not going over 9999 on my Canons...
    Now - when I import my photos into Elements Organizer I get a lot of error messages with "same name exist .....) Hmmmmmmm
    Please sate the exact wording of the error message, I have never seen a message stating 'same name exist...' or equivalent; only messages about files already in the catalog. Files already in the catalog mean that some files have the same 'date taken' and file size in Kb.
    Any suggestions. I'm using a mac and tried to rename files based on date taken. The mac can do that but it takes ages to go into each folder and run the renaming script there.
    I also use a similar folder creation scheme (such a date naming is the default for the downloader). That way I never get a message about duplicates for the same file names.
    However - I can't be the first or only person with this problem so I figure that some workaround must be known out there. Maybe the import action can recognize date taken or - well. Thank you very much in advance if you can help me out here.
    You can alsways set the downloader to rename the imported files with a unique new name, there are many options in the 'advanced' dialog of the downloader. I don't know about Macs, but I don't thing there is a difference.

  • Mail Sending with attachement

    Hello,
    I have one Modulepool having Z Transaction which sends the mail through workflow.
    I have created a task and bussiness object.
    Using FM SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW to send the workitem in SAP inbox.
    That is attached to a standard Transaction CJ20n.
    I added the CC for sending mail.
    But if one user double click, then the WI will trrigerred and workflow completed and the second will not b able to c the WI.
    I want to send the mail to the second user with that T Code as Attachment.
    How to do this.
    Please Help.
    With Regards,
    Nitin Malhotra

    Here's how I do it, without attachments though (names, users, and servers changed):
    connect system/******@mydb as sysdba
    alter system set smtp_out_server='MAIL.k12.sd.us' SCOPE=BOTH;
    @I:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\RDBMS\ADMIN\utlmail.sql;
    @I:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\RDBMS\ADMIN\prvtmail.plb;
    GRANT execute ON utl_mail TO USER1;
    connect USER1/******@mydb;
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE USER1.E_MAIL_MESSAGER IS
    vSender VARCHAR2(30) := '[email protected]';
    vRecip VARCHAR2(30) := '[email protected]';
    vSubj VARCHAR2(50) := 'TCHNAME_STUDENTS_INSERT';
    vMesg VARCHAR2(4000):='TCHNAME_STUDENTS SUCCESSFUL';
    vMType VARCHAR2(30) := 'text/plain; charset=us-ascii';
    BEGIN
    utl_mail.send(vSender, vRecip, NULL, NULL, vSubj,vMesg, vMType,
    NULL);
    END E_MAIL_MESSAGER;
    Rem Now to call the procedure to run it:
    exec E_MAIL_MESSAGER;

  • Mail: associate Mail account with recipient?

    I have a question regarding Apple Mail 5.0's capabilities:
    I'm a freelancer who works for clients through various agencies, and have nine unique email accounts. Is there any way to associate a recipient's email address with a specific account? For example, can I set up Mail so that when I send a message to [email protected], Mail will always compose the email using my [email protected] account? Currently I need to manually monitor which email account is used when composing messages, which sometimes leads to errors.
    Any one know of ways to do this?

    I wish someone had answered this question but I imagine that what bartpop was inquiring about is not an Apple Mail option. Would love it if it were.You ever find out differently bartpop?

  • Mail Attachment with attachment name = mail subject name

    Hi,
    I am using the mail adapter and today I am using hard codes attachment names using the MessageTransformBean. I have read the blog /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2006/02/23/xi-dynamic-name-in-the-mail-attachment--pseudo-variable-substitution about dynamic filenames but how do I get the eMail subject as a viriable to create the attachment?
    Thanks
    Juergen

    Juergen my weblog was the simplest suggestion to your issue - you can put the mail subject anywhere in
    message get it (and remove) in the adapter module
    you can also try to get the
    Adapter-Specific Message Attributes from the adapter module
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/09b16006526e72e10000000a422035/content.htm
    but I'm not sure it the second solution works with adapter modules - but you can do an easy check
