Mail sent from iPad appears as gibberish in Outlook

I have iPad set up with Exchange Server. The only problem I have is when I reply or send an email from the iPad the message format in Exchange is unreadable. Does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks.

Disregard. Found solution.

  • Mail sent from iPad not appearing on desktop (windows) pc

Have had to change my BT Yahoo email account to BT Mail so on the iPad deleted the BT yahoo account and then added the BT mail account.  Problem is that mail sent from iPad no longer appears on the (windows) pc. What am I missing

If it is IMAP, then obviously something is wrong. I don't know if there is a problem on the computer setup. Are you sending the email from a web browser or from an email client? I don't think that should matter anyway unless you have incorrect settings in the email client.
Have you tried sending an email from your computer and see if it shows up as sent mail on the iPad?  Have you considered deleting the account and then add it back yourself on the iPad?

  • Mail sent from iPad won't show on MacBook

I've had my iPad for less than a week and just noticed that the emails I send through my Gmail account (IMAP) from the iPad won't download to my MacBook, whereas the ones I send from my laptop do appear on my iPad as soon as I press the send button. This is odd for the ones I send directly from the Gmail page also show up on my laptop when I open Mail. Anybody knows of a way around this synching problem? I've searched this forum as well as the Gmail website but haven't found any solution so far and don't know where else to look.

Sounds like you do not have SMTP for your iPad Mail configured correctly with Gmail. SMTP is used for sending email. When you send email from the Gmail web page using Safari on your iPad you are completely bypassing the Mail client app which is why that works.

  • Mail sent from iPad

When I send email from my Comcast email account to my work account, the "From" name in my work account just reads "Comcast" rather than my name or email address. Is there a setting I need to change to correct that?
    Many thanks

Never mind, I figured out the answer. Sorry.

  • Mail sent from self to self from "Note" app malfunction

Beginning at about 10:00 am EST Wednesday, 9 March, the mail sent from the "Note" app changed behaviour. The mail seemed to send and appropriately flagged the "sent" mailbox but did not cross over and arrive in the "inbox". It only seems to be a problem in the "note" app. And, only on the iPad. No change noticed in the iPhone. This is important functionality and I had not changed any mail program pointers or ISPs.
Any ideas or or permanent fix to this new quirk?
    Thanks in advance.
    ec

Since nothing has changed on your iPad and you are still using the same mail provider this may be due to a temporary glitch in their service (FYI Note mail is working properly for me).
If this continues you could try restarting your iPad to see if this clears the problem (press on/off button until power off slider appears). If this does not work try resetting your iPad (press home button and on/off button at the same time until the Apple logo appears - about 10 seconds).

  • Emails being sent from iPad gets truncated

    Device : iPad1
    iOS      : 6.0.1
When email is sent out from iPad the view from Outlook is truncated, when we open on iPhone it looks ok.
We already updated the iOS to the latest version but its still the same.
If the email is forwarded using Outlook/iPhone or other devices the email is ok. Issue is only happening when its forwarded or sent from iPad.
    no error messages received.
We have tried to update iOS, refreshed mail, and reconfigured the email settings but still the same.
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

The problem is with your email provider. I suspect someone has hacked your account because  you use the same password for most of your online work. You should change your password and not use the same password for most of your on-line accounts, most  people are lazy and don't use different passwords because they can't remember them all. You should begin changing your passwords and using a password management tool to help you remember. If you need help choosing one Google "OS X Password Managers" to find some reviews.

  • Should iMessages sent from iPad or iMac show as sent messages on iPhone?

Should iMessages sent from iPad or iMac show as sent messages on iPhone?
So when having an iMessage conversation as the advert suggests. You can carry it on using any of your os devices, but only the messages sent to you appears on all the devices but the messages sent by you only appear on the device you sent it from.

Yes, if you have everything set up correctly and all of your devices are synced then that should be how it works.
Edit:  I appologize, I should have read your question more thoroughly.  If your devices are synced together, then the entire conversation should show up on all devices no matter which one you sent it from.  If you are having trouble with this working, visit this thread and follow the instructions on page 1.

  • Email sent from ipad not posted in Thunderbird "Sent" file

My iPad and desktop [Thunderbird 3.1.7] sync fine on inbox. But when I send from either, the other does not post the mail in the "Sent" box.

Thunderbird [desktop] is POP3 which is forwarded to gmail's IMAP. Am I right that Gmail will forward mails sent from the iPad back to T'bird's POP3?

  • Email sent from iPad main account arrives from gmail address

Email sent from iPad main account arrives from gmail address

I have solved this. The main account SMTP setting was wrong so it was using the next outgoing mail server available which was Gmail. Disabling Gmail as an alternative highlighted that the main one was wrong. I fixed the main SMPTP outgoing server address and all now working. Hope this helps.

  • Imap mail sent from my iphone does not show up in the sent folder on my desktop

imap mail sent from my iphone or ipad does not show up in the sent folder on my desktop

    Hi Bob,
    I'm using Mac Mail 4.5
I have set up my mail preferences to include a "From"
Web mail includes the appropriate "from" header information.
Interestingly, when I send emails from this account on other machines it's ok.
    (ipad2,iPhone 3s,powermac)
It just seems to be the MacBook Pro that is presenting this error.
As an aside, my ISP host recently upgraded from Pop to Imap.

  • Mail sent from my iPhone 4S stopped showing in Outlook

    Hi,
Till Monday all was fine with the way mails sent from my iPhone 4S / iPad would also show up in my Outlook 2007 sent folder.
This suddenly stopped in case of mails sent from the iPhone and I cannot seem to find a solution, have attempted a reboot of the phone , deleted and redone the email account ( gmail apps account ) , checked all settings on the email account , deleted and reinstalled the account in Outlook as well .
Any clues anyone ??? Thanks in advance for the help
    Samir

What you did a reboot, was that a reset?
Reset your iPhone by pressing the 'Sleep' and 'Home' button at the same time for about 15 seconds or so. Your iPhone will then go through a reset / reboot procedure and will be ready for use within about a minute.
Don't worry about doing this as you will not lose data or settings.
Good luck and do report back.

  • Mail on Mac Pro not downloading mail sent from iPhone

    Hi.
I have a gmail account set up on my Mac Pro and have just added the same account to my 3G iPhone. It all works fine except any mail I send from the iPhone doesn't appear on the Mac Pro. In Safari everything shows up on gmail. A copy of the mail sent from the iPhone even ends up in the sent mail folder, but nothing on the Mac Pro.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

  • See e-mails sent from Mac on iPhone?

Hi, I have OSX 10.9.1 on my Macbook and ios 7 on my iPhone and I use iCloud. What can I do to make an e-mail sent from my Mac turn up on my iPhone when I search for it on the iPhone for instance by using the sent e-mail´s subject content?
    Kind regards
    tellef

The default setup on the phone does not synchronise the "sent" folder, so it wont appear on your webmail account.
If you enable synchronisation for that folder, it will appear on your webmail account as a new folder called "sent items", So you end up with a "sent" and a "sent items" folder on your webmail account.
You can enable folder sychronisation by the following sequence.
Messaging - select account - press menu - select "folders (5)" - press menu - select "manage folder (2)".
You will then be given the option whether to sync, or not sync a folder.
Any folder that you sync, will appear on your webmail account next time you connect.
This only works for the default IMAP setup.
