Mail Sent List - Only Shows "FROM"... not "TO"

I just switched to IMAP from POP (connected to a Gmail acct). In my SENT items list in Mail, I can only see the FROM field, which is of course ME.
I would like to see the TO field when I view this list so I can identify sent messages by the recipient. The obvious fix is to select the Sent Mailbox, go to VIEW>MESSAGE ATTRIBUTES and select TO. For some reason, TO is already checked, but is greyed out along with several other attributes. So, this does not work.
I can sort by "TO", but the list still shows the FROM name. Not helpful.

I'm not sure this is the right place to ask this, but here goes.
When I download IMAP mail on my iPad I see only my name as the intended recipient. I cannot see the full address the sender was using. It makes it hard for me to know which of my accounts this mail was intended for. ( I use Gmail and others as a blind address an have that mail automatically forwarded to me. )
If I could see the sender's intended recipient address, I could determine which path the mail took to get to me. Then, I could manage that forwarding better.
Is there a way to fully expand the simple "Joe Blow" name in the grey oval that's serving as a visible recipient address in my incoming mail so I could identify the forwarding address I used for that particular notice?

I would say all types. Any kind of document/ file that has multiple pages, I can't get to the next page.

You need to create HTML signatures for use with the Apple Mail apps. You can't just throw in a logo, it has to be stored on the internet and it's location coded into your signature. You may find a service and an app that helps you do that in the iTunes App Store.

IPod only shows "Do not disconnect"

Suddenly when I disconnected my "always" in gook working order iPod, it only shows "Do not disconnect", neither the iMac nor the iTunes recognize it.
I've tried the Menu and Center buttons and nothing at all.
Can someone help me please?

Mail sent to me shows wrong name in to: field

I've been seeing this problem for quite a while. Certainly since Yosemite was launched. A small, but significant proportion of email sent to me shows an incorrect name in the To: field. If I hover over it to see the email address, they have been sent to one of my email addresses. The names I am seeing are usually other people I know and correspond with.
An even weirder thing is that sometimes the names I see appear to be the names used by other people as contact names. For example, I know my wife has a contact entry for me with the name "ICE Julian Paas". This is in her contacts, not mine. Sometimes I get emails from other people and my name appears as "ICE Julian Paas".
I have 3 gmail accounts with several aliases on each.
I've tried rebuilding my mailbox and that hasn't helped.
This is messed up.

Try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

Import dialog shows iPhone twice, and photo list only shows outlines

In Aperture 2.1.2 I have been able to import photos from my iPhone until just recently. Now the import dialog shows three choices of import devices/locations, Local Disk, RJH iPhone and a second RJH iPhone. If I select either iPhone the main window displays outlines of 7 images but no picture information except for the filename. If I actually try to import the pics it says 'Import completed with errors, the following files were not imported' and it lists all the filenames. One of the iPhone devices shows up in the import list EVEN WHEN THE iPHONE IS NOT CONNECTED!
I'm sure there is a plist or something that has the list of import devices bu I have not been able to find it despite extended web and support searches.
Anyone heard of this?

OK, I have since discovered that the second iPhone device is listed only when my iPhone is plugged into a DIFFERENT USB port on my MBP. If I plug it into the same port I usually use, it is only listed one. However, both Aperture and iPhoto still see one iPhone device whether it is plugged in or not, and both show images with outlines only and won't import photos. So strange

The "not recognized for on-line use" error is associated with the Gracenote service that iTunes uses to look up and retrieve metadata for CDs. Some users have reported that this error occurs when trying to import from CD, subsequent to upgrading to version 12. A number of slightly different solutions have been reported (though all of a similar nature).
Try walking through the following steps - before starting you may have to enable hidden files and folders to be viewed - in Windows 7 / Windows Explorer select Organize > Folder and search options, then on the View tab make sure that Show hidden files, folders and drives is selected. Without this you won't see the AppData folder in C:\Users\username\.
Exit iTunes
In Windows Explorer, go to the folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes
Delete the following files:
CD Info.cidb
com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist
Restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
If this doesn't work:
In iTunes, select Edit > Preferences and make a note (or take a screenshot) of your preferences settings in all relevant tabs
Exit iTunes
In Windows Explorer, go to the folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes

If none of these have worked (and almost everything I've seen suggests you should be OK by this point), you may have an issue with the installation and configuration of iTunes itself. "Recently Updated" on iPod Touch Only Shows Music, not Podcasts

I have a 'Recently Updated' smart Playlist in iTunes, set for 'Added in the Last Week' and 'Live Update'. The iTunes 'Recently Added' shows music, podcasts and movies, but when sync'ed, the iPod Touch (3rd Gen, 32GB) 'Recently Added' only shows music.
Tried setting 'Media Type' to 'Podcasts' and 'Music' but it results in an empty playlist...
Any ideas?

There are some known quirks with how smart playlists sync to the Touch. In theory the contents (and sort order) should match when you compare the playlist on the Touch vs. your iTunes library, but that's not the case due to a bug in the 3.1.x OS on your Touch.
As a workaround you can try un-checking the Live Updating option, but then that not only disables Live Updating on the Touch it also disables it in iTunes, so you'd have to re-check this option and then un-check it again each time you re-sync.
Another possibility is to define a mixed-logic smart playlist:
Date Added Is In The Last Week
AND
(Media Kind is Music) OR (Media Kind is Podcast)
You can do this as follows:
1- Enter your Date Added criteria
2- Click on the (...) to "indent" the next criteria.
3- Add the criteria "Media Kind Is Music"
4- Click the "+" button to the right of this criteria, then add "Media Kind Is Poscast"
5- Set the top match rule to "All" and set the 2nd match rule (after your Date Added criteria) to "Any".

Mail message listed on iPhone but not in Mail on my iMac

Today I received a message on my iPhone but when I went to reply to it on my iMac the message did not appear even when I searched for it.

Ipod only show Charging & not syncing

I have a friend who got the new IPOD. She adivsed me that it was not synching. It ried and it only showed charging. I uninstall and reinstalled the ITunes to no avail the same thing happened. It showed charging and not auto syncing on the computer. How can I correct this?

I have the same problem. I have an Ipod Nano 1st generation that won't sync also. I tried downgrading Itunes version and that didn't work. I installed the latest Itunes and firmware but I'm still having the problem.
The only solution I have found is to reset the ipod, then do a restore in itunes then run the sync. It works then once and you will need to do it again everytime you sync otherwise it won't sync. It is rather disapointing considering that the Ipod is supposed to be a premium product.

R U able to go into your mail alright via www.apple.com/mac (choose mac) then go to mail and try to login from there. See if you are able to connect that way by trying to send (which is where you seem to be having the problem i.e. smtp).

Mail Previous Recipients List only shows today's recipients

In the Mail application, when I choose Window/Previous Recipients, the list shows only those recipients from emails I sent out since the last time I started up Mail application. However, when I begin to type in the To: box in a new email, a longer list of recipients shows up.
It appears the actual list and what shows up in Window/Previous Recipients don't agree.
This is a problem because some of the email addresses that show up when I begin typing in the To field are old ones that I'd like to get rid of. However, the method I used to use, going to Previous Recipients list and deleting them, won't work because they don't show up there.
This may have begun when I upgraded to Mountain Lion, though I'm not sure that is the case.
My husband is another User on the same computer, and he is not having this problem. The problem must be related to some file associated with my user being corrupted and rewritten new, or something like that. However, the only references I can find for a corrupt Previous Recipients file suggest going to Library/Application Support/Address Book and deleting a file MailRecents-v4.abcdmr. I cannot locate the file, or an Application Support folder for Address Book or Contacts.
Any help would be appreciated.
