Mail stopped loading emails from only one account

I am running a MacBook Pro (2GHz intel core i7, 16bg 1600 MHz DDR3 and Os X version 10.9.4) and my mail has been acting strangely - not loading emails, or taking a very long time to load them. It has now lost all but 6 emails in one IMAP email account (outlook.com is the issue, googlemail.com mail is fine) and those 6 emails are very slow to load; I am very new to my MacBook and don't know where to begin. I have search online for the issue, but don't know where to begin.  I have no rules on my email account, and have not changed any settings that I know of on my web account or within Mail.  I have been having to get my mail through Chrome rather than Mail due to being on my clients Wifi and their firewall prevents using any mail server but theirs, and was experiencing issues when accessing webmail through Safari - any ideas?

Back up all data. Rebuild the mailbox.

    I have a strange problem, I'm using postfix mail server and LDAP directory service.
    From last few day I'm facing strange problem. Like I have 15 user account configured for accessing emails.
    In that, only one user gets bounce back messages. I found the issue but not sure how to fix it.
    Issue:
    If I stop the (LDAP) directory and mail service and restart my Leopard server and services. I can send emails through. But after few days or a week later i have to face the same issue.

    If you right-click on an accont's inbox and select "Synchronize {name}", that should perform the "get new mail" function as part of the general synchronization.

  • 5s stopped accessing email for only one account but still accesses it for others on same server

    My 5s quit accessing one email account but continues to access the other account.  Both accounts use same provider and servers. Any ideas on what has happened? Have re-entered account several times as well as powered down the phone.

    Go into Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars and select the account you are having trouble with. Select the incoming mail server and double-check the username and password. Verify it is being used in all of the correct locations. If it is sending alright, then you do not have to worry about the SMTP server settings.

  • TS3276 Why does my mail send an email from a different account form the one selected?

    I have several email accounts configured in my mail app.
    For no reason it started sending email from one of my accounts with another email address, so when people reply to my email (from a particular account) it goes to another inbox and I sometimes miss it.
    Any tips?

    In Mail>Preferences>Accounts>you can set Each Mail account to "Use Only This Server" located at the lower right of the window below, which you specify once.  Then the Mail app will not have a choice of server available to pull those shenanigans.

  • Ipad does not show email from only one sender

    I have my outlook.com email address setup to come to my Ipad.   I have noticed over the roughly year that I have had it that email messages from one particluar sender does not show up on the Ipad. All other emails come thorugh fine it is just this one sender, which I receive email from on a regular basis.   Any thoughts on cause or remedy for this?   I have added the sender to my contacts list,checked the junk file,  deleted and reintalled the email account all with no luck. 

    If they are not being received by the server, then this is not a Thunderbird problem. So, first you need to determine if your server is receiving the emails.
    Logon to your webmail account using a browser, are those emails shown in the webmail account?
    Are they in the webmail Inbox folder or another folder - check the spam folder?
    Do you use an IMAP or Pop mail account?
    If the emails are not in webmail account, then Thunderbird cannot see them.
    If the server is not receiving the emails, then check that the sender is actually using your correct email address.

  • Mail: stopped fetching email from Gmail

    (tongue twister subject?) OK, if someone can help me with this I will be very grateful. I've setup mail to use my Gmail account and I just loved how it was grabbing all the messages from years back! That gives me a nice "off the cloud" backup of my stuff. Excellent!
    Problem is, it stopped when it reached Mar 5 2008!? Is there a limit to the number of messages Mail can handle? I can still use it to send emails, through my Gmail account, but not to fetch new messages.

    Hey Ismenio,
    Didn't see any other action on your issue, so I thought I would add a suggestion. Gmail supports IMAP in addition to POP mail. I would suggest trying this:
    - enable IMAP in your Gmail account (under settings / POP / imap)
    - wait about 5 minutes... (I turned on imap on my gmail account and the control panel said it enabled, BUT didn't work. I waited a few minutes and it worked fine.)
    - create new email IMAP account in Apple mail.
    - See if you see all of your messages!
    IMAP may be the way to go to see all of your messages. I use IMAP because I use an iPhone, a PC, a Macbook Pro and want to see my email from any device almost anywhere.

  • Button or keystroke to get email from just one account?

    To help filter out spam more (Apple Mail's junk filtering, SpamSieve and my provider's SpamAssassin just don't seem to be up to the task any more) I'm trying to retrieve all my email via Gmail and then POP download from Gmail. Gmail's spam filter seems to be the best so far.
    I have 4 email accounts in Apple Mail, and I don't want to disable them all, because I want to be able to send from those accounts, refer to the old mailboxes, etc.
    The Get mail button, though, retrieves from all the POP accounts, which defeats the purpose of having Gmail retrieve my POP email for me from those accounts, if I check email all the time, which I do.
    Unchecking the "include this account when checking email automatically" doesn't help because I check for mail manually.
    So I was wondering - is there a way of putting the menu item "get email from Gmail" onto the menu bar? Or if that is not possible, is it possible to make a keystroke just to check Gmail mail?

    I had CMD+G set to check my Gmail POP account. It's been working fine for several days now, ever since I set it. But suddenly the keystroke setting has disappeared from the Mail menu.
    It's still in the keyboard shortcut preference panel.
    I tried setting it to something else and restarting Mail, but the shortcut doesn't appear anymore!
    Any idea what happened and what I need to do so I can set the shortcut again?

  • Load relationships from only one BP,  from R/3 to CRM

    I have downloaded one BP from R/3 to CRM, but relationships (Employee responsible, Sales representative, Ship-to party, etc...) are not downloaded into this BP.
    The individual employees, ship-to party, etc... already exist in CRM, but not appear as relationships into mentioned BP.
    I created request with:
    Adapter Object: CUSTOMER_REL
    Objektklass:      BUPA
    Table Name         KNVP                  
    Field Name         KUNNR                 
    Incl/Excl          I Inclusive defined set
    Option             EQ Equality (= Low)   
    Low                'The R/3 customer number'
    But when I start request this is downloading all relationships for all customers.
    What I need add to the request or what I need to do in order to download only the relationships for only one specific BP (customer) ?

  • I can't receive emails from only one sender

    In last month I have not been able to receive emails from one sender...in my address book.

    So just one person can't send you an email but everyone else sends to you and you get them? Then perhaps that sender isn't sending to your correct email address.

  • I receive an error stating user name and password are not valid on my ipad and iphone 3Gs when attempting to load email from my icloud account. When I log onto icloud from my Mac, it wont load the email either.

    One day, my ipad and iphone pick up my emails (.mac account) from icloud just fine. the next day, I recieved error messages that say my user name and password are not accurate. I removed the icloud program on both devices and added it back on to both devices and get the same message. I logged into icloud from my Mac and while I can log in, it times out when I select email and wont load the email there either. Any Suggestons?

    I am having the same problem; it started about 24-36 hours ago.
    I know my ID/PW combo are correct because I can access all other aspects of iCloud except mail.
    iPhone -- returns incorrect ID / Password
    iPad -- Same
    Mail.app on Mac -- returns incorrect password error
    icloud.com -- allows me to log in and use all functions accept mail.  When I try to use mail it stays on a white screen for about 60 seconds then returns a dialogue box that indicates a server error.
    I contacted Apple and they placed my iCloud account into something called "Troubleshooting" mode.  They generated a new strong password and sent it on to "Engineering."
    I suspect there are a small number ofo users like you who are affected with the same problem I am.  Too small a number for it to be reported as an outtage.  I suggest you call Apple and open a case to have your mail investigaged.

    I had the same issue and managed to solve it.
    Go into Mail>Preferences>Accounts
    Then in the account information tab, at the bottom should be outgoing mail server (SMTP) and click the drop down box
    Mine had a few different servers in it so i went into edit SMPT server list. Click advanced and it will tell you which ones are going from which email address.
    Delete the ones you dont want, and it should work or instead of deleting click use only this server, i imagine that will work to

    Mail stopped retrieving email from yahoo. I did not change anything. All of the preferences look the same as before.

    Based on what I've read in the forum, Yahoo mail has been having some problems.
