MAIL suddenly and very often, keeps asking for my password. WHY ?????

Just recently MAIL started asking for my, and my husband's password. Not just once, but often, which is annoying. There is a box to check "to remember the password" which I always check. This does not work, MAIL does not remember the two passwords (mine and my husband's) and keeps asking over and over.
Is there some way to alleviate this? Thank you for any help with this.

> Every clipping I receive, shows up right on the email page which is great, without my opening the attachment. But why does it always appear TWICE ?
Whoever is sending you these messages must be using HTML for message composition. When sending an HTML message, two versions of the message are sent. The HTML version and a Plain Text version in case the recipient uses an email client that allows for receiving messages as Plain Text only.
One is embedded in the message body (embedded images/objects/attachments are not true attachments to the message) and the other is an attachment to the message.
Not sure why this occurs with some email clients when sending such messages. I experience the same primarily when receiving messages that were received and forwarded by the sender - not with a new message composed by the sender and mostly when the sender is an AOL user.
