Mail Template / Stationery Option Available?

I recently made the switch from Eudora to mail.app, and one feature I don't see is the ability to make a "stationery" file, (or template) for repetitive emails.
I would like to make a file for sending our company invoices, and since it always has similar text, I would like to have a ready-made reply on hand that already has the subject, body text, priority, etc. pre-created.
Can mail.app do this, and if so, how?

yes, you can do this with the standard functions in Mail:
- create a new message as you please and save it as Draft
- drag the message from the "Drafts" folder to whatever folder/mailbox you like (probably a new mailbox you created and called "Templates"?)
- in order to create a new message based on a selected template, select the message in the templates folder and select "Message → Send Again" from the menu (or hit command-shift-D to achieve the same)

Text Format in Mail Templates

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement , wherein I need to make certain word in my custom mail template( palin text) as bold or underline( or both) , I tried Mail template Macros FORMAT for this but it didnt work , If anyone knows how can we achieve this please share.

The above mentioned will work only when HTML Mail option is selected on the user account level under Account properties.

Why won't Mail save stationery? with OS X Lion

I have checked

but it applies for Lepoard so what about Lion?
Any Help? I did remove all the signature yet, still cannot save it.

I've solved it!
When you have saved the stationery, and opened a new email, make sure you have NO SIGNATURE.
If you have 'None' in the signature drop down list, then the template will display fine.
If you have a signature automatically added to emails, it interferes with the template being displayed and all you get is the signature.
So start with a blank email and no signature, before you select your custom-saved stationery.

HTML Editor for creating e-mail templates for SAP Cloud for Customer

Hi Techies,
                 Is there any preferred software for creating e-mail templates to use with SAP Cloud for Customers ? I mean to avoid unnecessary errors when creating standard e-mail template which are recognized unified manner within the system.
Will appreciate with rewards points for best support.

Here is a template for the wire-frame that we used. We went with pure HTML tables so that the response could be multi-client compatible. We found that additional code caused issues with certain clients. In the middle table, we had linked icons to our respective self serve properties and additional support options for Chat and our own Support Community.
The content of the email will be placed where #Text# is. Our email responses include the content and the basic signature. We also provide our detailed legal disclaimer at the bottom with additional links if needed.

I agree with LowLister, the best option for you to share the video online is to upload it to your online storage account for example : Box, Dropbox, SkyDrive (All of them provide free storage beginning from 2GB).
You can upload the files which you want to share in this online storage and then they have sharing options in which you'll will get the link of the file to be sent and send the email. You're good to go!
Tip : You can store multiple files for backup purposes.

Custom Token in Mail Template

Hi experts,
We have a requirement wherein we have to send the Auctions bid start
time to vendor via mail , when I tried to achieve this by customizing
the mail template , I found that there are no tokens available for
fetching the bid start time for auction. I also tried to use custom
template 1 and wrote script to fetch the value to be placed in the
tokens provided in custom template 1 , but there is no getmethod in
Auction API to fetch the value for Bid Start time though the value is
present in schema PREBID_STARTDATE_DATETIME
please help me to resolve this.

Public E-mail Templates

Can you please provide me some guidance on if "Public E-mail Template" functionality is still in the planning stages for OCS. Are there any documents available for me to review what features are in the next release? and when the next releases are scheduled?

I think the only solution is to use context parameters replacements. Create additional input parameters like phone number, first name, last name for the notification callable object. Then map these parameters to output parameters of some action or put them before instantiation or in some another way.

Hello.
There are plenty of options available. In files, a database table or even an own entry type.
The same applies to the receivers. Depending on the use case, it could be best to store them in a separate database table.
There is no overall solution, you have to consider your situation and implement as needed.

REP-50138: mail : Mail server is not available in eBiz R12 Advanced Distrib

Hi,
I am trying to get Reports Advanced Distribution working in eBiz 12.1.1 for custom reports but get concurrent job failures with the following messages in the job log:-
REP-57054: In-process job terminated:Executed successfully but there were some errors when distribute the output
REP-50159: Executed successfully but there were some errors when distribute the output
REP-50138: mail : Mail server is not available
The <distribution>.xml has 2 steps:-
1. create pdf report output in the file system [works correctly]
2. email the report as a pdf attachment [fails]
(The xml appears to validate)
I have configured the <rwservlet>.conf "mailServer" pluginparam;
I can telnet from apps host (Win2003) to mailserver host smtp port (Linux) from the appserver environment.
Is there something else I should have done or am I trying the impossible in the eBiz environment?

As I said originally, the apps host OS is Win2003. We know mail works from the database layer on this apps host but this is the first time we have tried from the appserver layer.
However, it is impractical in EBS to execute reports from the command line because of the complex cross-schema relationships, embedded profile_options and temporary data requirements setup by a calling form in this case.
Some of the rwrun command line options can be included in a concurrent job but many of the common ones cause job failures
e.g. Tracing and over-rides of the more common report 'system parameters'.
I have already covered the issues raised in the notes you mentioned in the pluginparam setting so I am wondering whether eBiz has some restrictions on Advanced Distribution. I am waiting on Metalink but they don't seem to have any interest in responding to my SR which basically just asks the question 'does eBiz support Advanced Distribution'.
I'll wait on their response and post the result when I know what's possible unless somebody else has a suggestion.

Emailing photos from Photos 1.0. Are formatting or stationery options gone.

Have upgraded to Photos 1.0 from iPhoto, changed all my events to albums and succesfully downloaded new photos, edited them, etc. All was well, but when went to email them, it appears that the various stationery options I use so very often are gone. Previously there was classic, and journal, and some fancier bordered ones. When sending multiple photos about an issue, I would use journal style, title each photo, and write about the problem shown in each one. Just tried it, no format choices at all, and the photos are crammed onto one email without even space between to write. Can't even move them about on the email. The choices on Mail stationery for photos are not appropriate for this task. If it is gone, I will for sure give feedback to Apple. But am I missing some work around? Any ideas? Thank you, Janet

Not sending photos of a recent trip or picnic invitation I am describing multiple problems to a landscaping contractor and also submitting a request for proposal. Multiple Visuals are needed in both cases. The Journal format that allowed a title (location of photo with a large job) and a description of the problem (what needs to be bid) worked great...have used it many times that way. Sending 20 separate emails is a non-starter and one long description is confusing without being able to number the photos and point to the problem.
iPhoto is still in my Finder and would be the most up-to-date version. When I open it, it asks what Library to use, yet only lists one, iPhoto Library_2. Since I converted my entire library to Photos, would using this in any way mess up all the work I did to convert. Is my Photos Library a complete duplicate and both versions can function separately? Thank you for your help!

Mail Template

can a customer refrence number field can be aded to mail template for order confirmation.

I believe OrderID is already there, i would use that as the order reference as well.
If you mean on the Business Partner - AccountID, and UserID should be available as well and i believe already on the mail template.

Mail Text Encoding Options Missing

For some reason, the Message -> Text Encoding pull-down menu in my Mail has only one option -- "Automatic". All other options are missing. Thus I am here seeking for help.
All the information I've found told me that I should go to the International Pref Pane, choose Language, click the Edit List button and choose the languages I want. I did so, and there are indeed several languages in the list. Still, the pull-down menu in Mail shows no options at all, only "Automatic".
Does anyone know what went wrong? Is some file corrupted in some way?

I deleted com.apple.mail.plist (in fact I it them to another location so I can restore it in case things go wrong) and re-launched Mail. This time I got all the menu options that should be there. I had to re-create all the mail accounts, but the saved emails were not lost.

Off the top of my head, you should be able to create mail templates in muse BUT it will require very basic html/css knowledge on your part. I am assuming you want to do just the signature?
Create the design you would like on one page, dont do any kind of styling in a master page. Then export the site into a folder. Open the html file with notepad/ textedit and then copy just the code for JUST the template. Throw it in you mail app of choice and it should work.
This seems like something that would be done alot quicker in dreamweaver in design view.
PLEASE NOTE: ^i could be completely wrong - but in theory this may work.

I've seen various people that have experienced the issue of having the following message appear when setting up an email account in Outlook 2013 "An encrypted connection to your mail server is not available" however none of the solutions i've came
across have helped me so far.
The Windows 7 laptop I was installing office 2013 on previously ran office 2007 and the email worked fine on it (it's a Microsoft 365 email account). I had a spare license for office 2013 so I uninstalled office 2007 and installed office 2013. But when I
tried to set up the email got the message "An encrypted connection to your mail server is not available".
I tried the same email address in outlook web app and it works fine. I've tried setting it up on a Windows 8 pc and also another Windows 7 laptop both with Outlook 2013 and it works fine, so I knew it wasn't the email settings server side etc. that was causing
the problem, so I therefore thought it was a computer issue. I also tried manually setting the email up instead of using auto-discover but that didn't work either.
I have uninstalled and re-installed office again to see if that worked but experienced the same issue.
Yesterday on a whim I tried another email on the affected laptop (it's a colleagues and also same domain email and also a Microsoft 365 account) and it worked ok. I'm now thinking that there must be some file somewhere or something in the registry blocking
the email being set up again as it was previously used on the laptop.
Anyone with any suggestion I've been stuck on this for a couple of weeks now and it's really bugging me?

According to your description, I notice that you cannot properly configure Outlook with your primary office 365 account after reinstall Outlook client.
If I have misunderstand your concern, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
If possible, please try to configure your e-mail account on another computer. If it works fine, it indicate that the issue is relate to your computer, for example residual registry information about primary account, incorrect username and password.
Please try to open Control Panel--> User Accounts---> Credential Manager, double check whether store some incorrect credential. If so, we can delete it and try again.
