Mail: time sent/time received

Never mind why, but I had to reinstall Mail.app 3.6
It used to show time sent and time received. Now it only shows the dates.
Cannot for the life of me find that preference - any ideas?

BDAqua wrote:
Anyway, you can hack it, System Preferences>International>Formats>Times>Customize, copy the Short time, exit that & Dates>Customize, place the cursor behind the Date & paste the short Time.
Also once you do that the Finder will show Date Creted/Modified with the Time also
Got it to work - after a great deal of fidling!
Thanks!

    Dear Friends,
E-mail messages sent, are received not in the paragraph-form as sent, but are broken-up into small segments, one line finely printed, the next line may appear with just two or three words printed on it, then the next line will show a few words at the end of it, while the next line appears as the start of another paragraph, and so on and on and on. So that the original message, although sent in the one paragraph-form, winds up being received as several paragraphs, each broken up into several segments. My contacting Apple has produced no solution thus far. I am new at this computer business and would greatly appreciate any help you can give me on this score. Thanking you in advance for your interest and kind help.

  • The mail application on my I-Mac dates all mail, whether sent or received, as 5th (of whatever month it is). The computer clock is working, so it's not that. And the time seems to be right. I have no problem with my MacBook. Can anyone help, please?

The mail application on my I-Mac dates all emails, in or out, as 5th (of whatever month it is). It seems to get the time right.
The computer clock is fine. I have no problem with my MacBook - just with the I-Mac. Any ideas, please?

    OK Vicky, good clues...
    See if this helps...
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over. See if there are duplicates, should be one for Incoming & one for Outgoing.
Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X...
If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

  • E-mail messages sent from Dynamics CRM

    Hi,
I have Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online (recently updated to version 2015) integrated with Microsoft Office 365 midsize business so we also use Exchange Online on the same domain.
Is it possible, when I send an e-mail from CRM, to see it also in the Sent Items of my Mailbox?
It seems that they are not "integrated" even if the system is in fact the same!
    thanks in advance

I have an Iphone 3gs and when I send a text to multiple people, they report receiving it as a slideshow.  Their carrier is US cellular (don't know if that matters).  When I send the same message individually, it's received just fine.  Any ideas why?  Thanks!

  • Mail message viewer-can I change time zone for "time received" & "time sent" to my local time?

Does anyone know how to change the time zone MAIL uses to one's local time zone?  I'm talking about Apple's Mail Program that's "on my mac."  It shows all my "times sent" and "times received" in eastern time.  Not a big deal, but since I'm on the west coast, I'd prefer pacific time.  The menu bar at the very top of the screen shows local time, but Mail doesn't reflect that.  I have a desktop iMac, Lion 10.7.3.  Any help will be much appreciated!

I had the same situation on my current business trip.  Home = SF (Pacific time), current location = Houston (Central time, 2 hours later).  For a message I just sent (and received a copy of) at 6:34 AM local (Houston) time, Mail (v6.6, in Mountain Lion 10.8.5) was displaying Date Received as 4:34 AM.  I can tell 'ya, it's *not* 4:34 AM where I'm sitting
My practice on any trip to a different time zone is just what Carlo TD described -- use SysPrefs/DateTime to change the TZ to local geographic (and also change Calendar's TZ at upper right in its window, but that's not related to the Mail issue).  But when I did so, Mail didn't repaint its Date Received column.  On a hunch, I quit and re-started Mail.  Problem solved -- all the Date Received values changed to local (Houston) time!
Now to send Apple a Feedback that Mail doesn't repaint its displayed times when SysPrefs/DateTime changes the TZ...
[Interestingly, when I just posted this reply, the message in the thread shows something like "4:54 AM".  Perhaps Apple displays all Support threads in Cupertino (Pacific) time...]

  • Each message shows same date and time for sent and received.

Each of the thousands of messages in Mail shows that the message was sent and received at the same time. Somehow, Mail is displaying incorrect information. In other words, the "date sent" and "date received" columns are identical. What can I do to Mail to get it to put the correct "sent" time in the column?

Are you asking a question or making a suggestion? If you're asking if you can change Messages to show the time stamp for every message, no, you can't. If you are trying to make a suggestion to Apple, the appropriate place to do that is here:

  • Can the individual form response be sent via e-mail to us in the PDF form format (not the raw output we see currently when using e-mail notifcation) each time a user submits a reponse?

Hi, we basically have an on-line job application that we need to be sent to us via e-mail notification every time a user submits a response, not with the raw data output from the form fields like the current e-mail notification setting allows, but as an actual PDF attachment that mirrors the format of the on-line form, with the user response data in it. We need this to be automated and sent to a central HR e-mail to distro to others. It would be essentially the same thing as a user downloading a PDF form, filling it out, then e-mailing it back to us, but using the submit options via the Form Central server instead. Is this even possible and, if so, is there any documentation on it? I have not found anything clear in searching for this same topic.

No this is not possible within Formscentral. You could export a PDF without a submit button (an option when saving your form as PDF) and then in Acrobat add a submit button to your form and have it automatically sent to the email of your choice. This kind of workflow falls outside the scope of Formscentral.

  • TS3899 I send an e-mail message from my iPhone 5c and it shows up in Sent folder as a duplicate, 2 of the same e-mail messages sent at the same time.

I send an e-mail message from my iPhone 5c and it shows up in Sent folder as a duplicate message. 2 identical messages sent at the same time. What's up with this? Tried Apple Support by phone, and did a couple of troubleshoots, then my connection with Apple Support was cut off. Issue not resolved yet.

Did the mail get sent? Is the only issue the fact that it appears twice in the Sent folder?

  • How can I see exactly what time messages are sent or received from IPhone 4

Is there any way to view exact times that messages are sent and received from an iPhone 4 running iOS 7?

If you are using iOS 7, then slide the text bubble to the left and you can see the time stamp to the right of the bubble.

  • Mail could not be received at this time outlook 2011 for MAC

I am  connected to Outlook 2011 MAC for 10 minutes then I get disconnected. I get this error message "Mail could not be received at this time. The server account for "cbcf" retuned the error "Logon failure unknown username or bad password" your username/password
or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like re-entering your password ?

    Hello,
    1.
Under the Account Settings tab, the
    Exchange Server field.
    https://my.internal.owa.server.name/exchange/[email protected]
    Be sure to use
/exchange/ rather than some other directory, and
include your full email address afterwards.
    2.
On the Advanced tab, for the
Public folders server, I use this URI:
    https://my.internal.owa.server.name/public/[email protected]
    Once again, use
    /public/ not some other directory.

  • Outlook 2011 SP2 Mac Clients - Mail could not bve received at this time...

After Upgrading to Office SP2 for the Mac, our Mac Clients can no longer Connect to the Exchange server
    Server: Version 14.1 (Build 218.15)  /  0.1 (8.0.535.0)
    Client:14.2.2 (1202421)
The Error we get just after launch is:
Mail could not be received at this time.
The server for account "" returned the error "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password."  Your username/password or security setting may be incorrect.  Would like to try re-entering your password?
When this happens and you click yes, to try to enter your password again, your account typically gets locked out on the AD Domain after a few attempts.
We have tried the keychain workaround/solution to no avail, we have rebuilt Profiles, Cleaned and Compressed the Identity Database, etc...   No Love
I can login to the https://mail.domain.com//EWS/Exchange.asmx url and it comes back with the WSDL file.
The only thing I have found that Might be a possible solution was this:
    http://www.exchangeranger.com/2011/03/mac-outlook-2011-clients-getting-bad.html
Basically says to: Removed the EWS VirtualDirectory and recreated the EWS VirtualDirectory
Okay that's fine and all if None of our EWS services were working, though we have several other systems (non Mac) that are talking to the Exchange server via EWS (Web, Custom VB Apps, SQL SSIS, Azure Compute Service and many more) So I really don't want to
Blow away the EWS if everything else is working fine.

Here are the log entries from the IIS web:
I'm guessing these first three entries are from iCal, that is working fine.

  • Questions for the time when a mail is sent and arrives

    Hi, all
I have a few questions for OCS but I can't find any informaiton for them.
My customer asked me how to know the time when a mail is sent to and arrives a destination mailbox from the OCS database. My Questions are...
    1)
There are two columns - 'INTERNAL_DATE' and 'RFC822_DATE' - in 'ES_HEADER' table that seem related to sending date. What is the difference between them?
    2)
Can I know the time when a mail arrives the recipient's mailbox (or mail server) from the OCS database?
    3)
What does the column 'RECEIVED_DATE' in ES_ENVELOPE table mean?
I would appreciate if anyone lets me know links or websites where I can get informatin.
(or if give answers to me directly, I would appreciate so much!)
    Thanks in advance.
