Mail virus update

Sorry if this has been answered but I can't figure out how to search the forum.
(with the maintenance recently, have they removed the search field or is that just me?)
In Server Admin > Settings > Filters
The update virus database will not remain checked to run and as a result has not updated since February.
Ideas?

matching log
however it shows the last update process in February, and I'm still not able to get SA to actually keep the box checked to update the database.
What to do now?

Found this on the "more like this" Worked like a charm!
With the Mail.app quit and using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Mail. Copy the Mail folder and place the copy on the Desktop for backup purposes.
Go to Home > Library > Mail > Envelope Index. Move the Envelope Index file to the Desktop.
Launch Mail and you will be prompted to import mailboxes. Select OK and allow the import process to complete.
After confirming all mailboxes were successfully imported and available, you can delete the copy of the Mail folder and old Envelope Index file from the Desktop and this should resolve the problem.

I have a 250 GB hard disk, 4.34 GB of which is in my "Home" folder. (Total HD usage is about 27 GB.) This happened suddenly after Mail had been working fine for eons. I deleted a bunch of files (107 MB) in a "Drafts" folder (none show up in the Mail app's "Drafts" icon), but it made no difference. I re-installed the Mac OS X 10.4.11 combo update... no difference. Mail version is 2.1.3.
Any help here? I cannot use Mail at all.

MAIL cannot update your mailboxes---error in MAIL 2.1

Have 26 Gb of space left and found the fix to delete the Envelope Index file. I moved Envelope Index to the DT and relaunched MAIL. It seemed to import 1200 items, then it just goes to colored wheel of death. Had to Force Quit 3x.
Any ideas? Im trying to help a senior fix this problem. She cant get her email.

Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.

The mail server Update: Says it can't be installed on my OSX 10.3.9 harddr

Why wouldn't I be able to install the mail server update for OSX 10.3.9 on my harddrive which is also an OSX 10.3.9? It tells me the volume does not meet the requirements for this update! I just completed the OSX 10.3.9 update installations with no problem. The mail update installation program says: The Mail Server Update delivers overall improved reliability and is recommended for all systems running mail services on Mac OS X Server version 10.3.9.

You are running the client version of Mac OS X, and that update will only install on Mac OS X Server systems; the changes it makes are only relevant to Mac OS X Server, so you won't get any benefit out of installing it anyway.

Are you logged into your Admin. Account or to a Guest Account that does not have access to the things your missing?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Hi were you able to resolve yours?
I was very worried losing all my medical stuff on my iPad Air 2, plus i have nothing to use for the next day! So i have to try all the possible things i read on the internet!! And this worked on my part (Thank God, and thank you Google)
Perform a hard reboot
Hold down the Home button and Power button on your iPhone or iPad and keep holding them until you see the Apple logo. Once you do, you can let go. When your device boots back up, go ahead and check to see if the apps have started re-downloading. If they still appear to be stuck, continue on.

i have the same problem.and i found out, if my iphone vibrates,there is a new message, but its not shown.
if i restart my iphone after these vibrations, the new messages appear.very strange.
i hope Apple will fix this problem soon.

Exchange - "Mail Store Updated"

Hi,
I'm working with the version 9.1.1.7 of the exchange connector on OIM 11g.
Now I realized that there is no "Mail Store Updated" task on the Exchange Process Definition.
1 - Have been a problem in the installation or the connector does not have this functionality?
2 - How do I implement this feature?

You would need to write a new power shell script to actually change the user's mail store, then you could call the script in the same way the Create and Delete scripts are called.

i had this problem a couple times. Try:
1) to restart your iPhone (turn off and then on)
2) connect to a different network or use cellular (it may be a network problem)
3) delete your mail account from Mail app, and then add it back in
4) create an icloud backup of all your data, restore through iTunes and then restore from icloud

This would be preferred. If you have to force quit the the entire OS- press the power button for a extended period until it forces a immediate shut down.

Can't connect to yahoo messenger, iTunes, anti-virus updates, etc..

I have a wireless router and ever since I started using it I can't connect to yahoo messenger, iTunes, anti-virus updates, etc.. but the rest of the internet works fine. I've checked firewalls and everything seems fine. I've searched on here and have seen some similar posts but no solutions. Do I just have to give those things up to have a wireless connection??

I think that the router is blockingthe messaenger or other services to open..... try upgrading the firmware ... once upgraded ...reset & reconfigure the router ....
