Mail with no content

Mail version: Version 2.1 (752/752.2)
No problems receiving or sending mail, but occasionally mail received from another Mail.app or even from myself will not display any content. For example I received an email this morning from one person. I replied to that email, which was delivered to a list, and on receiving my reply, the email is blank. To wit:

That's all that's in the email. Going to raw source doesn't show anything either. Text encoding is automatic.
I made a passing attempt at reviewing other threads, but don't see anything similar being observed here.
Suggestions?

More Info. Sending email as plain text works fine, but if the message is sent out as is, the content type is identified as 'multipart/mixed; boundary="===============1949041318=="' and these are the messages that do not display.

 I'm trying to send an e-mail with custom content.
 I've set the MX send e-mail server behaviour so that it sends an html

 no problem here.
 
 The problem arises when I try to put some variables in the template file.
 Transaction variables work as expected and they will be sent by email.
 But I cannot figure out how to include other standard variable.
 I use variables to translate the page on the fly.
 I have an external file containing all translations and I include it on my
 translated page.
 Then I output the translation using the echo command:

 Here is the content of the include:

 ?>
 
 In the translated page I put the related variable in the body:

 But when I put <?php echo $menu["AZIENDA"] ?> in the template file, nothing
 will be output.

Sometimes messages with no content can be spam or attachments. Try closing all open applications in multitasking and power cycling the device. Test to see if the messages show content. If the messages still do not show content, verify the sender address is recognized. If it is not then this message might be spam.

Send mail with body (content)

Dear SDNers,
Currently whenever status has been changed in my solman, message processor and requestro both are receving mails with an smartform as an attachment with blank body in mail. But I want add some custom test at the body of the mail. How can I do this. Here is the screen shot how what my system using classes and methods to send smartform.
Kindly guide me.

basically SAP provides different smartforms for different purpose, some contains direct link to the ticket but some smartforms contains the long description entered in the ticket
Therefore, you need to use the correct smartform with corresponding classes/methods etc to re-use for ur requirement

File to Mail with body content and attachment

Hi Experts,
Here my scenario;
I receive an xml file, this xml file content need to be mapped to body of the eMail as well formatted email. and also the original xml file which I receive need to be sent as attachment.
I searched in sdn, help and checked many blogs..

New mail with no content received in year 1969????

Recently ive gotten maybe 20 or so emails with no subject, content or sender that have a received date as some day in 1969 which clearly didn't happen. I can't delete these and they won't go away. Any advice or suggestions if what they might be?
I used gmail and have the iPhone 3GS.

I was having the same problem and found this suggestion on another forum which worked immediately for me.
Go to settings>mail,contacts, calendars
Then click on each of your email accounts...
After you click each account, check what you are synching (mail, calendar, notes). Toggle the "Notes" switch to "off." Once I stopped synching "notes" from my Gmail account and Mobile Me, the odd messages disappeared.

Why mail with no content or sender?

Since upgrading to Mountain Lion syncing with my iPhone 4 presents problems with Mail. Regarding Mail, I've been getting messages with "no sender" and "no content." But that's only when I use the universal inbox. When I switch to iCloud only the messages appear normally.
I've reset my iPhone and deleted then re-established my iCloud email. We'll see if that works.

How to send a mail with rich text content like using outlook

Hi All. I have a serious problem. When we send the mail from
outlook express or yahoo, we can send the mail with the text appearing
in the mail with bold font , with different colors, underlined etc.
If i type this kind of text in any word processor and mail that content through java mail then the message should be received by the recepient with all that bold,color and underlines etc as it is. Can anybody please help me in this case ASAP.

Go to this site and download the htmlArea Javascripts. Embedd them in your HTML and it will turn your normal HTML Text Area into Rich Text Area. Your real code will include all HTML tags. For example if you select some text and make it bold , the real HTML output will look like YOUR TEXT . So i guess your recipient should be able to receive HTML contents.

Mail with HTML BODY content?

We seem to have a little problem with sending mails wtih HTML content, we have a "Link" in the mail body to be sent , so we are using html tags <a href=""link"></a> so that the mail receipient see the URL as a link ....
The actual code used is given below:-

This is an HTML problem. You have provided no text for the anchor.
You probably want something like:
<a href=http://URL.com:20000/pls/htmldb/f?p=102>Click Here</a>
And to be proper HTML, you should enclose the href value in double quotes, as in:
<a href="http://URL.com:20000/pls/htmldb/f?p=102">Click Here</a>

File to Mail with content as excel attachment

Hi there,
Can somebody please guide me in achieving this goal.
I have a requirement in which I have to send the email content as an excel attachment which is very new to me.
Requirement
File.............XI............Mail
Sender File: xyz.xml
Mapped with standard mail.xsd and concat all the requested filed to the content but now the requirement is changed and I need to send the content as an excel attachment.
I don't know JAVA & ABAP and this is the first time I am using mail adapter.
Can somebody please guide me how to achieve this.
In Another interface I have to send the source file name as a mail attachment, By Default mail adapter send the filename as untitled.
Is there easy way to changed the name of the attachment to the source file name.
File ............... XI.........Mail.
Source file: xyz.xml
No mapping required just send the file to the mail adapter but condition is that the file name should be the same.
Mail (Attachment: xyz.xml)
Please can somebody suggest me how to achieve this.

Mail Messages with no content

I've just starting experiencing problems in Apple Mail.
It's not every message that's affected, but I get emails that display in Mail with: 'This message has no content'.
I know that there is content, but I'm unable to see it.
These have been from people in my contact list and also junk messages, the type of messages are different too, some messages are part of a thread and some are one off emails.
I'm looking at my emails online through a browser and I haven't been able to get the same problem, although the emails that had 'no content' display error messages when I try to view them.
I wondered if anyone else has experienced simlar issues?

That's probably because the message is in HTML format. Send the reply as plain text.

Workflow sending mail with content

I created a workflow that will be started , if personal data will be changed, after that I would like to have a mail with the changed data. So I got a mail but without any datas.

If Iam not wrong then I hope you are trying to change the employee personal details from PA30 txn. Which internally it means that you are trying to do some changes in the organisational data. So the workflow is also the part of organisational data. I hope by refreshing the org assignment you might overcome this issue.
To refresh organisational environment , all you have to do is follow the below path of execution
SBWP ---> on Menu Settings ---> Wrofklow Settings ---> Refresh Org Envronment.
After this try again.

Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Mail: smart mailbox contents disappears/search doesn't work & fix is only temporary

Since installing Mavericks (including the Mail update), the contents of my Smart Mailboxes disappears (the Mailboxes themselves are listed, there's just no content) and my ability to get results from Search within Mail disappears.
I have done a lot of searching here and via Google and read other people with similar problems. I have done the usual magical stuff: resetting permissions (including the version that involves the command "resetpassword"), deleting caches, etc. - but to no avail.
Spotlight clearly knows about all this mail, because I can find it with HoudahSpot, which uses the same database, but somehow Mail is not able to read what Spotlight knows.
Now there is a commonly recommended fix, which is to go to Terminal and type some version of:
mdimport ~/Library/Mail/V2
This works (as does reindexing the entire disk)! But only for about a half-hour to an hour, at which point Mail reverts to its previous state. Running the command again works again, but once again the cure goes away shortly after. Once again, the Smart Mailboxes are empty and search in Mail stops giving reslts.
Can anyone suggest a real, permanent solution to this problem, besides switching to another email program?

Okay, I think I understand better now. So I just ran a test, by creating the following rule:
I specifically chose an address (obviously not the one shown) that I had a message from in my Inbox, and a word that was present in the subject line of several messages in my Inbox. When I ran this rule on my Inbox, it copied exactly the messages I would have expected into the test mailbox. Are you seeing different behavior with the same rule, or is your rule constructed differently?
If the difficulty is with running the rule, note that (as I said earlier) rules only run automatically on unread incoming messages. It won't run automatically on existing messages or on messages on an IMAP mail server that you have read on another device using (in which case they will have been marked as read). If you need to run this in such conditions, you'll have to either run the rule manually or run it via an AppleScript or something similar that is somehow (via something other than Mail) made to execute at certain times/intervals or under certain conditions.
And you're correct, a smart mailbox would be totally inappropriate for what you're trying to do! It would behave exactly as you guessed.
