Mail wont load following OS6 update
My phone just completed the OS6 update. Now none of my mail will load. When I tap on the mail icon, i get a few messages (from yesterday) and it says ""Checking for mail"..then crashes. That is it. Have tried removing mail from settings, then reinstalling - no change. Did a hard reset (start and home button) - no change. Any other thoughts? I am thinking I will NOT update my iPhone 4s (second phone), iPad or iTouch until these issues are worked out...
meant to add - this is for all my emails (yahoo, gmail, exchange) - is the "mail" application that is the problem, I think.

Ever since I updated my software my mail wont open and it says it cant run with the latest version... any ideas?
I have the same problem. Yahoo keeps asking for a password and will not accept it on my new iPhone 5. Yahoo mail is running fine on all other devices.

Well i open up m mail app and it comes up with the rainbow mouse loader and does nothing. It does not even show me my current emails in my inbox.... i then go to the force quite app and it says " mail not responding "

WillVerify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:

Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network, choose Network Port Configurations from the Show popup menu, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list. Leave checked (enabled) only the port configuration needed to connect to Internet and Built-in Ethernet (in that order if not the same), uncheck (disable) the rest of network port configurations, and see whether that helps — if it doesn’t, turn ON again the ones you want enabled.
Finally, try launching Mail under the following conditions (you may need to force quit it first if it’s running) and post back with your observations:
1. Holding the Shift (⇧) key down until the main window appears. This tells Mail to not select any mailboxes or load any messages upon start up.
2. With no Internet connection. -
Yahoo mail wont load in emails
Hi there. I set up my yahoo mail in my firefox os phone as instructed with the pop3 setting but no mail messages load.
It just hangs for ages.
I successfully got my gmail account working though

I assume you're talking about Security Update 2012-004 for Snow Leopard? Have you by any changed moved your Mail application out of the Applications folder? This will cause updates to fail to work - Apple's included applications should always be left where Apple installed them.
If this is the case, move it back, then downlad the update from Security Update 2012-004 (Snow Leopard) and run it again. -
ITunes Won't Load Following System Update
I did a System (might have been a Security) Update on my Mac recently and immediately following, I couldn't access iTunes anymore. It just continuously "loading". Finally it will say there is a store error and to try again later. Is anyone having the same problem? Anyone know a solution?

My Mail program will no bring in new messages! I can check the messages online at Mac.com but not in the actual program. I have already tried deleting the preferences and defining the accounts again, and it only loads the same old messages. I've also tried the traditional rebooting to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For one .Mac account (the one I dont really use) t it says "Connection & login to server suceeded"
For the other .Mac account it says "Cannot connect to this .Mac server. Check your network connection and that you entered in the correct information in Account preferences. Also verify that the server supports SSL. If it does not uncheck that box."
Was this account set up as type .Mac in Mail, or was
it set up as POP? If .Mac, try rebuilding the the
mailbox, i.e. select it and do Mailbox >
Rebuild.
I tried rebuilding both of them and now I dont have my old emails either. Just an empty Inbox. -
WRT54G's Configuration page wont load after firmware update.
I recently updated the firmware for WRT54G v3 and now when I connect to the configuration page it's jumbled and no options load. Is there a way I can reflash the firmware on the router via a program. I am kinda in the dark on this one so please help. On the brightside now my NAT settings on my 360 are open.
Go to www.linksys.com/downloads. Open product BEFW11S4 and choose version 3.0. Then on the downloads menu download the BEFW11S4 Set-up Wizard. Run this software, Server is the router (192.168.1.1), password is admin, file is the firmware for your WRT54G and then hit upgrade.

Lightroom wont load after new update

I am a CC member and have been using lots of CC programs perfectly until this new 2014 update. (And its fantastic ) Everything else seems to load and work fine except Lightroom. I click to run the program and get nothing at all. I have tried running from taskbar, start menu, and from within system files. I have tried to run as admin. I have rebooted several times, I have uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing makes any difference. It will not load. Can anyone help pretty please? I am running the latest windows 8 64 bit OS. And it was working fine before the update but I can not get back to the previous version xThanks for all your help. Actually everything I read didn't work, but after working on this all night, I came up with a solution myself and it is now all working perfectly. Here's what I did using trial and error, doing the below steps in different orders, eventually the below procedure worked.
1. Sign out of CC (Top right Cog, Preferences, sign out)
2. Open C:/ Show all hidden files
3. Delete all content of folder SLStore (win8 - C:\ProgramData\Adobe) AND all content of folder SLCache (win8 - C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe)
4. Open all other software I use, photoshop, illustrator, muse etc etc and log in and accept terms etc
5. Open CC Desktop and log in
6. Download and install new Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.5 2014
7. Once installed it runs perfectly -
Have had this problem since next week and being not particulary technological minded im stuck! When trying to load the programme from my Dock it bounces about and then stops but when right clicking it states "not responding".
Not being able to search I havent looked for possible solutions although one suggestion on another post, to hold shift, has not worked? Any ideas welcome!

CC Application Manager wont launch following failed update
The app mgr told me this morning there were an update for it so I ran it. It ran for about a half hour with the progress bar never completing so finally I killed it and an error msg came up that unfortunately I did not save. I got home after work and was trying to try it again and now the app mgr won't launch at all when I try to run it. Since this is the app that updates my PS CC, Bridge, and Lightroom, it's kind of important. I found a pdApp.log file that I am providing a dropbox link for below. Please help me resolve this ASAP. BTW, I have reapeatedly had problems updating the app manager but up to now I've had luck by trying it right after a clean reboot and running "as admnistrator". However this is the first time after a failed update the application will not launch at all. I have tried rebooting and that was not the answer this time around.

Java was blocked due to the threat I have followed the update & other options to reenable it ie.manual updates reinstalls yet websites like YouTube still wont load up.Works fine in Chrome & IE!
Your plugins list in "more system details" shows Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_31 for Mozilla browsers so Java should not be blocked.

By the way, I see in your plugins list that you also have the VLC media player Web Plugin 2.0.0 so, it's possible that the VLC plugin is causing a conflict if YouTube or other videos don't work. See [[Video or audio does not play]] (you may need to disable the VLC Media Player plugin in the Add-ons -> Plugins list for some media to play). -

HELP!!!!I was having very similar issues with both the iPhone 3GS, which I returned, and then when I updated my original iPhone to the 3.0 OS. It turns out that the problem (at least in mine and others case) is an unassigned dummy email account on the iPhone. On the settings icon open up mail, contacts, calender and look at the end of your list of e-mail accounts. The dummy account will have the word e-mail in the margin but the rest of the field is blank. Select this for the account information go to the end of the information field and delete it.
When I did this it completely resolved my battery life issue and the over heating in my original iPhone. The cause it is suggested is because of the dummy account, the iPhone goes into perpetual search mode because of all the missing information. I wish I had know this before returning the 3GS.
Hope it works for you and you can begin enjoying all the benefits of the new 3.0 -
during a update of apple my iphone 3GS crashed an now the operating system wont load up..ive tried to reset the phone to the factory settings using itunes it took 4 hours and completed but my phone still wont come on..what can i do to fix the problem? please help #
In trying to include what information all that I could I should have specified I DON'T KNOW THAT IT WAS DEFINATELY JAILBROKEN when I took it to the apple store they told me there's no way for them to tell if it was jail broken or not. I'm only going by what ppl have told me COULD HAVE BEEN DONE TO THE PHONE. With that said the only thing I know for sure is that the apple tech at the Genius Bar told me that someone took control of my root menu in February & I've had no control of my phone since. I asked him how to regain control & how he knew his exact words were "oh that is out of our scope of capabilities here at this level & you would need an apple engineer to fix it". I said ok then how do I get an apple eng then? He laughed & said you can't!!!! To which I was furious I came home & called apple requesting to speak w/the fraud dept to file a report they said we don't have a fraud dept!! So after a 45 mn phone call again I left w/no answers.

I DON'T HAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO SPEND HIRING AN ATTORNEY & Although I appreciate your suggestion I fail to how an attorney would be able to facilitate in any way since there's no suspect. I cannot prove that it's him doing it so I certainly can't pursue legal action w/no proof & no money. :'((

I was looking more for a TECHNICAL way to avoid this happening w/a new phone should I buy one or trying to get them out of my phone now! Such as installing some kind of software protection?? Someway to clear out the entire phone (other than factory reset which was done 10 x's w/no success, etc. if this person got in then there HAS TO BE A WAY OF GETTING HIM OUT, right????
