mail won't take my password for pop account
It never supported POP - you may have thought you'd set it up for that but you can't have.
Firstly, make sure your password is compliant with the requirements - change it if necessary at http://appleid.apple.com - make sure it has at leat 8 characters, one of which must be upper-case and one a numeral.
Then go to System Preferences>iCloud and click the 'Sign out' button. Then sign back in again with the new password: your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac when you sign out but will reappear when you sign back in. Your old email messages live on the server and won't be affected.
It would be a good idea to amend your signature to show your present system, to prevent confusion in any further questions you may ask. You can do this in your Profile>My products.

I'm sorry to hear that your iPhone isn't accepting your Apple ID username or password since you upgraded to iOS 6.
I suggest that you do the following to try and rectify the problem:
If you have been able to setup your iPhone since the upgrade;
1. Open the "Settings" app on the home screen.
2. Scroll down to "iTunes & App Stores" and open it.
3. Your Apple ID should be displayed at the top of the page. Tap your Apple ID.
4. It may ask you for your password, if so you see if you can see an option for "iForgot" and tap it.
5. Go through Apple's password recovery protocols.
If you can't setup your iPhone because iOS 6 is my accepting your Apple ID;
1. Go to a PC / Mac and open your web browser.
2. In the address bar, type in the following address: http://iforgot.apple.com
3. Go thorough Apples password recovery protocols.
If your still stuck;
1. Please check that the Apple ID (usually an email address) you are entering is correct. Make sure nothing is in capital letters that should be in lower case etc.
2. Make sure that the password you are entering is correct, including the case of the letters etc.
3. Go to iTunes and see what Apple ID your computer is signed into. Make sure it is the right one, especially if you have multiple iOS users in your house and have others using the same PC / Mac to sync their devices. Their is a chance that someone has logged into iTunes using their Apple ID and logged you out.

You must have set a password for Admin when you first set up your Mac. Therefore you should have made note of it somewhere. Did you? Or have you bought it second hand?

it wont let me get i to my homescreen to go to settings it takes me to the front page and then when I swipe it to go to the homescreen it takes me to my pass code and then if i try it locks itUnfortunately, you will need to restore the device to factory settings. Plug it into iTunes on your computer and hit restore.
If that does not work for any reason, try recovery mode. Unplug the iPad from the computer; hold down the home button; and plug it into iTunes with the home button still held.
If you get an air while trying to restore, plug it into the computer; make sure the device is off; press and hold the sleep button for about five seconds; while still holding the sleep button, press and hold the home button at the same time for about 15 seconds; now release the sleep button, but continue holding the home button for additional approximately 10 seconds.
Your devices showld now be in DFU mode and you can restore it with iTunes. -
Apple mail shows GMail off line. I get the following message when I select "take all accounts on line

When I select take all accounts on line I get this message

I have had a long call with my service provider who checked all settings but to no avail.

Mail wont recognize my password
Ive used the same username and password for years and as soon as the mail went to icloud it won recognize my password. i can go to icloud and access email from there but not off of the stamp (mail) of my macbook. frustration is setting in please help....
iCloud's mail server settings are different. Strictly speaking Lion 10.7.2 is required for iCloud and on that Mail is set up automatically.
Snow Leopard cannot access most of iCloud's facilities, however you can set Mail up manually to access your email. the method is described here:

My mac won't except my password to open my mail

This is my secondary computer. My old rig that my kids use and that I use when I need a photo printer, which it is hooked up to.
My pirmary is a newer 10.7 iMac. That, my iPad and my iPhone all accept my .mac/mobilme/ iCloud password and give me my mail. The 10.5 machine asks for a password when I try and check for new mail. It does allow me to send mail, sometimes, but doesn't let me get new mail, ever
I get a pop up window that says
Enter password for account ".mac"
The mobilme IMAP server "mail.mac.com" rejected the password for user ######
Please reenter your password.
The user name is correct, my password is entered correctly and i'm put into a redundant cycle. I enter my password and I'm told it's been rejected.
I'm still getting mail just fine on all three other devices.

I have not used my ipad in many months, Today I go to use it and iCloud tells me I need to back the ipad up, then asks me for my icloud password. I preseume it is the same as my apple id password, but it wont accept that., then tells me I can reset it but wont take me to the internet and keeps coming back to the logon page.
this is stupidSome people have multiple Apple ID's and iCloud accounts and forget their passwords because of that reason. Nobody here knows that you used the correct password. You never said that you entered the correct password. When you said you had not used the iPad in months, the natural assumption would be that you did indeed forget your password.
Try this and see if it lets you bypass that logon screen. You will not lose any data if you do this.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
