Mailbox database admission control by maximum mailboxdatabase size limit

I would like to have a feature which allowes to set a maximum size limit on a mailboxdatabase. This way we can keep the mailboxdatabases around a certain size. Existing mailboxex within the mailboxdatabase can grow according to their sizing
limits but no new mailboxes can be added or moved to it. In collaboration with the new automatic distribution feature you can migrate more efficiently and keep maintenance and restores times low.

Accroding to your description, I understand that you want to set a maximum size limit on a mailboxdatabase. Your purpose for this doing is that existing mailboxes size within the mailboxdatabase can grow, but new mailboxes can't be added or
moved to it? If so, I'm afraid that there is no way to set a maximum size limit on a mailboxdatabase in exchange 2013 server. But we can control automatic mailbox distribution sing database scopes.

I have just for this alert within the CSA MC V5.1.0.79
The 'Management Center for Cisco Security Agents V5.1' database is approaching its maximum allowable size. Please purge old data.
I have look at the 'Database Mainteance' and I can see the following

Event and configuration data size: 1142 MB
Application Deployment data size: 0 MB
Unallocated space: 114 MB
Free disk space: 29586 MB
Recommendations: none.

How can I resolve this issue ?

I ran the SQL 2000 installation and chose "Upgrade existing SQL Server installation" and it worked fine on a test MC.

I don't know if this is supported by Cisco so make sure you have a good backup and run a backup of the MC before attempting it.

Is there a Maximum file size limit when combining pdf files

I am trying to combine files 8 PDF files created with i Explore using Acrobat XI Standard, the process is completed but when opening the file not all 8 individual files have been combined only the first two have been combined, the process shows all eight being read and combined.
I can open and view each of the original 8 individual files and read the content without any issue, the largest of the eight files is 15,559kb and the smallest is 9,435kb
if anyone can assist that would be most appreciated

This should not have happened as there is no maximum file size limit when combining PDFs.
Please let me know if there are some password protected PDFs also?
Also, I would suggest you to choose 'Repair Acrobat Installation' option from the Help menu.

Looks like I found the probable location of this size limit. Looking at the web.config file in the
ExchServer\ClientAccess\Sync folder there is an entry for "MaxDocumentDataSize". THe value is currently set at 10240000:
<add key="MaxDocumentDataSize" vaulue ="10240000">
So this is 9.75 MB or there about, which sounds about right. I will try increasing this limit at some point to verify.
Can anyone confirm this?

IPad Mail - Maximum Attachment Size Limit (Sending)

Is there a maximum size limit for attachments that the iPad Mail App can send?
We have an iPad connected to an Exchange server through our internal wireless network. Mail is received by it (even with very large attachments) but if an email is sent with one or more attachments that total over 10MB, the email stays in outbox with an error "Cannot Send Mail" "An error occurred while delivering this message."
I've checked all of the limits on the Exchange server but these are all set to 20MB. Smaller attachments (6MB, 8MB, etc) work without any issues. I've searched these forums and around the internet but haven't been able to find anything about this and nothing about where any such limit would be configured.

Done it! My colleague found an article here: http://www.i-tekpro.com/BlogArchive/Exchange2007/Max-Message-Size-Increase-Excha nge-2007-CAS.htm that discussed how to change a limit in an Exchange ActiveSync config file that seems to have been tripping us up. We changed the limit and got the email through. It's worth noting that this also applies to Exchange 2010, not just 2007.

"Content generation error. The article exceeds maximum file size limit"

We are building a single edition app for our univesity's literary and arts magazine and have no problem previewing it through the adobe viewer app, but when we try to create a folio so we can begin the App Store process, we keep getting this pesky error. It refuses to export a folio.
The links folder associated with the indesign file totals 474mb.
The folder containing all the Indesign files associated with the app is 537mb.
So how are we exceeding the 1gb file size?
Details:
115 pages within a single article (we converted from the print edition, rather than placing each piece into an article of toys own. Is that a problem?).
All images (about 50) are png files of under 1mb and the videos have been exported to mp4 (total 370mb of video--do we need to switch to streaming?)
Every page has a button linking back to the home screen. And at least one, and sometimes two, MSOs (to full-screen an image or to pop up the author's bio.
3 mp3 audio pieces are insignificant in size.
We removed extraneous states from the MSOs.
Our PNG files are sized to a maximum width of 2048px.
The .indd file itself is 58mb
No HTML overlays, but we do have 5 or 6 hyperlinks that launch the browser.
Any guesses why we are unable to generate a folio with this article?
Is there a way to audit our project to see what the problem is?

We watched Adobe's tutorial videos and read the guides on Adobe's site before starting our project (a first app for our lit-mag), and never found the kind of overview that would have made the built-in functionality of the Folio system evident. Are there beginner videos you recommend we screen for the editorial board next year? It has been a great learning process for us this summer, but one involving many errors along the way.
It seems like it won't be difficult to break up the journal into "articles," but in order to make the TOC work correctly it really is a one piece to a page thing (none of our pieces extends beyond one screen because we used scrollable overlays). Do you think we'll run into trouble with 100+ articles in our folio?

What is the maximum File size Limit in FileUpload UI element in Webdynpro JAVA/ABAP??

I need to upload file with more than 15,000 records, which can exceed more than 1 GB.

It's an UI element but apparently only in WDA. I guess SAP hasn't back ported it to WDJ as confirmed by SAP note 1145874. See also SAP note 1303325 regarding limitations of FileUpload control in WDJ. Maybe there is a Java EE solution you could leverage. Another option would be to look into Multiple File Upload of KM or even cFolders.

Auto Extend is on , but maximum file size is 3276MB

small Doubt , Auto Extend is on in my DB . it is automaticaly extending the table space when datafile is full , increment size is 10240 KB. but my doubt is what is maximum file size it is showing 3276MB . what happend if we reach there?

Your datafile max size is set to 3276 mb (3.19GB).
Once your datafile reaches the specified limit, you need to add more space to tablespace by adding additional datafiles.
In your case you can set maxsize to unlimited by altering(For 8k block max size of datafile could be around 32 gb)

Setting a Default Organisation Message Size Limit and a Higher Limit on an Individual Mailbox

Ok. So here's the problem. I've read all the articles on setting message size limits for Organisation, Transport Send Connectors, Transport Receive Connectors, setting precedence, etc., but they don't detail how to solve this problem.
One person in our organisation is to get a raised message size limit for sending and receiving internally and externally. I've already set up limits on the Organisation Transport Global Settings, Send Connectors, Receive Connectors, etc. So,
as this individual requires a higher limit, I've raised the limits on their mailbox, and the aforementioned connector settings, etc., except the
Organisation Configuration / Hub Transport / Global Settings / Transport Settings / Maximum Receive
and Send Sizes. The theory is that I can keep these two values at the original lower setting as these are overridden by the individual's new, higher, mailbox settings, but they will continue to act as the default for other existing mailboxes
and newly created mailboxes. Right ? Wrong! For the individual's mailbox, this will only raise the limit for messages sent internally (not to or from external email addresses).
Now, I could change all existing mailboxes to have the old default lower limit using a PowerShell / EMS command, but this wouldn't work either. Newly created mailboxes will still default to the new larger limit. Most of our mailbox creation is
scripted, though some are created manually. I don't want to alter the script and inform the admins as this is too much work and admins will forget about the new limits. TBH, I'll probably forget about the new limits. That's just a messy inefficient
approach. What I want is to set a new default for message size limits, with the original low limits. I.e., a setting that applies to existing mailboxes with no explicit message size limits set, and also newly created mailboxes, but not any mailbox
with an explicitly specified higher message size limit. Any mailbox with explicitly specified higher limits should be able to send larger messages both internally
and externally. Can anyone help ? Like I said, I've already read the articles so I don't need links to these thanks. I'm more looking to people who have done this kind of thing already.
BTW, we are using Exchange 2007 SP3. It has a mailbox server Single Copy Cluster (SCC) with two nodes. It also has two Client Access / Hub Transport servers. Just so you know ;-)

I've raised the limits on their mailbox, and the aforementioned connector settings, etc.,
except the Organization Configuration / Hub Transport / Global Settings / Transport Settings / Maximum Receive and Send Sizes.
By my understand, we could modify the global settings by the following path:
Organization Configuration / Hub Transport / Global Settings / Transport Settings / Maximum Receive and Send Sizes.
Because it will work on existed user and new user without explicit message size limits sets.

Maximum file size for Adobe air for Androind and iOS compiled apps

I am working on a project which has a few videos which I need to bundle into my mobile app for an Ipad app I am creating using Adobe Air for iOS. My question is simple is there a maximum file size limit on apps compiled using Adobe air for iOS? And if so what is it? Any help would be great.

Hi. Im not a 100% sure this is correct. I am able to make a large .IPA file (200+Mb) and it will go onto my iPad 1, but it does not work - Just quicts after a few secs. If I run the same IPA on my iPad 2 it works.
When I take out some of the assets so its a smalelr size then it does run on the iPad.

File size depends on your Java Heap (Java heap depends on your Hardware Config).Basically SAP recommends a size of 5 Mb.
you can try the quicksizer tool on http://service.sap.com/quicksizer.
Also update the HTTPProvider service on the Java server dispatcher to have the parameter MaxRequestContentLength = 800M
The ABAP parameters icm/HTTP/max_request_size_km set to 2097152, icm/server_port_0 TIMEOUT set to 600. rdisp/max_wprun_time = 3600, ztta/max_memreq_MB =2048.
In SXMB_ADM add the parameter TUNING EO_MSG_SIZE_LIMIT = 40M
Best way would be splitting technique.
Splitting the file before it enters XI would considerably reduce the load on XI.

I think it is possible to process files Sizes up to 50 Mb.

By default AIX limits maximum file size to 1GB

When writing files larger than 1GB in AIX, I receive a "File too large" error.
This file size limit presents a problem, especially when creating large files,
such as LDIF exports from a Directory Server istance or message store dumps
from a Messaging Server instance.

By default, AIX limits the maximum size of files to 1GB. However, root can
adjust the maximum file size for itself with the following command: 

$ulimit -f arbitrary_large_number
 

The -f modifier
specifies the maximum file size. For example, 

$ulimit -f 4194304

This values for the maximum size of files is set in the
/etc/security/limits
file. The default values in this file are as follows: 

fsize = 2097151 
core = 2097151 
cpu = -1

Check MemoryMappedFiles... i handle Gigabyte files with no problem ;-)
