Mailbox Issue - Won't Delete ANY mail

Hi there,
I seem to have an issue with Mailbox on my MacBook Air. Please note: I did NOT have the issue on my iMac, before I sold it and reset it. Both Mailbox accounts were set up exactly the same.
I have a hotmail account which I have set up through Mailbox. I can send and receive with no issues at all. The only thing I can't do is delete the mail. I have over 15,000 junk emails and can't delete them. It's exactly the same with my Sent and Trash folders. I like a nice clean Mailbox - this isn't good for my OCD!

Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and under the Advanced tab for the account preferences, is "Remove copy from server after retrieving a message" selected and if so, what is your selection below for removing messages from the server when downloaded by the Mail.app?

Sorry. You can't get help here. Ask whoever wrote the jailbreak.
You can try putting it in DFU mode (google is your friend), but that's all we can suggest.
Jailbreaking voids your warranty and AppleCare agreement and forfeits all rights to support.

I can not delete any mail iPhone 4 Verizon

I can not delete any mail!!
I remove it from my computer, I delete it all from my email provider.
I delete it on my iPhone and it is gone till I quit mail and then poof it is all back again.
How do I completely delete the email?

Go to Settings, Mail, click on your email account and select Advance at the bottom of the screen, then select Delete from Server, make your selection.

Why can't I use Yahoo mail? It won't delete any emails. Google chrome does it right. Fix it or you will lose our business

Yesterday, Aug. 22, Mozilla suffered a massive & complete breakdown in handling Yahoo. Originally I thought it was a virus. I immediately switched to Google Chrome & worked on it w/o difficulty all day long. Yahoo was pushing all data/articles to the left side of the screen. That fixed today, Aug. 23. HOWEVER, the problem with Yahoo mail persists. Out of the blue, it's impossible to delete any Yahoo emails on Mozilla. If you single click to select a list of emails to be deleted, they open automatically. There's no "delete" at the top of the screen to get rid of it. It's very annoying. Somebody's messing with your system (alone). Google Chrome & Microsoft Explorer worked just fine all day. FIX IT!

YES!!! IT WORKED!!! THANK GOD! Mozilla is so much more fun than Google Chrome--- All my bookmarks were saved & my passwords, too! And now my Yahoo Mail is working beautifully again! What a relief!

MAIL on my MAC does not load any new mail or delete any mail in any of my other folders

I've been having this problem for a couple of days now. Its as if MAIL just doesn't respond to anything. I can't get any New MAIL to load. And if i try to delete anything from SPAM, JUNK... and so on. They won't delete, they just show up again after deleting.
I restarted the computer, and checked all my settings as well. I also uodated the computer.
MAIL works from my iphone ans ipad. Just not MACBOOK PRO.
Any help is appreciated.

Drafts, ToDos (Notes), and Outbox are found normally in the Mailboxes folder but do not usually appear in the On My Mac section. As for Deleted Messages that may be a remnant from before you used an IMAP account or if you at one time configured Mailbox Behaviors in Mail preferences to keep deleted messages locally instead of on the IMAP server.

HT201320 I am the added e-mail on my wife's iPad. I can not delete any mail in trash? Thus Trash is collecting in bin. I can delete trash in her Mail account?

II'm having trouble deleting messages in trash bin in mail, only on the added e-mail account. The primary account functions fine! I note several users are having the same problem!

Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues with your Mail account. It sounds like you may need to configure which mailbox is your Trash mailbox. To do so, see the following:
Mail (Mavericks): If messages aren’t stored where expected on the mail server

If there’s another mailbox on the IMAP server (for example, Sent Items) that contains the messages you’re looking for, you can have Mail use that mailbox to store messages. To do so, select that mailbox (listed under the account’s name and icon) in the Mail sidebar, choose Mailbox > Use This Mailbox For, then choose Drafts, Sent, Trash, or Junk, as applicable. You can select any mailbox on your IMAP server to store draft, sent, deleted, or junk messages. If Mail can’t upload messages to a server mailbox, copies of the messages aren’t saved.

HT201250 Will restoring a mailbox with time machine delete new mail?

I recently changed internet service provider and chaned the settings in mail to send/recieve with new provider. I removed the old account (pop & SMTP) and the items I had saved in my old mailbox disappeared.
I need to recover some items in that mailbox. I was going to use time machine to recover these files and wanted to know if doing this will delete current mailbox (information/settings).
Some additional advice would be really appreciated on how to avoid losing information in the future.

Quit Mail.
Go to the FInder, select Go, then GO to Folder. Paste this:
~/Library/Mail/V2/
A finder window will open in your Home Library to the Mail folder.
With that window active, enter TM. Navigate back in time and find the account folder you deleted. Highlight it and click to restore.
Once done, open Mail. The account you deleted should be there with the messages. Create a local folder and move those messages to it. Then, you can once again delete that account from mail.
Messages in a POP accounts are stored on the computer within that account. Creating local mailboxes and moving messages to them will move the messages out of the account. Since local mailboxes are not affected by specific accounts, they won't get deleted when you do delete an account.

RSS Feeds won't delete in Mail

I have several RSS feeds coming into my INBOX. Once I read them, I delete them which places them in my TRASH. So far so good. But after I empty my TRASH and go to check new messages in my INBOX, they all show back up as new. Anyone got an answer?

The Junk.mbox within the account named folder represents the account named Junk mailbox under Junk in the mailboxes drawer.
Delete the Junk.mbox and empty the Trash.
Launch Mail and a new Junk.mbox will be created automatically by Mail within the account named folder when the next spam message received is automatically or manually marked as Junk.

Help: Hotmail messages won't delete in Mail

I've had this super annoying problem since I installed Leopard: whenever I receive a message on my hotmail account, it's impossible to delete, and it will keep showing up as unread everytime I throw it in the trash, until I finally delete it in my hotmail page. Why is that? I got the same settings for another email account and it works fine..

Issue with Option-Delete in Mail 4.4

For the longest time I have used Option-Delete keyboard shortcut in order to delete a message without having Mail display the next message (marking the next message as read in the process). I recently started noticing that when doing this, the messages are not going to the trash can and are instead being permanently deleted.
I can't find a definitive answer on when this might of changed of if this is in fact what is happening.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have a similar problem. Here's my code:

This does not work even if destination is in the same directory.
Absolute paths also don't work, as well as relative paths.
I'm using a stock Amazon EC2 FMS.
Could you please help me? I want to avoid using cgi and external programs.
Can we at least know why it failed? Because the error message is not really helpful:

Outbox won't delete 1 mail

Hi
I have an email in my outbox which, when I open mail, a window pops up and says: "Cannot send mail. You did not specify any recipients."
In my outbox, the mail does have an address and also an attachment. The body of the message says, in grey - "this message has no content." I believe the attachment is a photo from Evernote.
If I open the mail - it says "This message has not been Downloaded from the server." I can not move it into the Trash or any other folder. So there it will stay - ad infinitum - or I get the 3G.
It doesn't affect my mail - it's just a small pain in the neck - that I'd like gone. My iPhone is updated.

Your mail account sounds like it is having issues.
I'd try
1) Settings > Airplane Mode > on
2) Mail > Ok > hold home button 12 seconds to force the mail to stop running in the background.
3) Mail > Ok > try to kill the offending message (it shouldn't be trying to escape your grasp if there is no network to crawl onto)
4) Settings > Airplane Mode > off
Still being bad?
5) Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
6) Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings (loses pairings and wifi password)
Still being bad?
Remove All accounts and add a new one.
Still being bad?
restore the iPhone and set it up as new (sometimes you just can't get to bad data)

Mail won't delete e-mail from originating POP account

I have several pop3 e-mail accounts set up in Mail. Messages are retrieved perfectly, but though I delete them in Mail they remain in the original account (ie: optonline). I need to then log into the pop3 account and delete them again in order to empty the originating mailbox.

I-Pad won't delete e-mails deleted on I-Mac

I want deleted messages from my I-Mac to be automatically deleted from my I-Pad. How do I proceed?

It depends on your email provider. Who is your email with?
Go to your provider's webpage and look at the settings for Apple Mail and iOS.
If you are using the IMAP protocol, rather than POP, your emails should be sync'ed automatically, as long as the settings are correct.
