Mailbox locked up - Help!
I set my mail to auto reply during my vacation and have accidentally sent mail to it and it is auto replying into
infinity ... I now have 4,363 messages and it cannot compact them.
I have turned off the internet connection but needless to say my mailbox is jammed.
Is there some way of just deleting everything in it and starting off fresh?
iMac 17FP Mac OS X (10.3.9)
Right now my mail looks normal.
I send and receive personal e-mail, I can delete junk and trash. You would never know anything was wrong.
Except when I get mails with hyperlinks to the Internet there is only a message saying it cannot be opened in e-mail.
The timeline for the problem is:
Sunday am ... discover loop lock, change rule so it stops, start deleting messages. When I try to empty the trash I get an error message saying it cannot compact.
Then, the e-mail re-appears as it was before the loop lock.
I can get and send mail.
Monday ... find I cannot open large e-mails or anything with a hyperlink to the Internet so I am thinking the 4,000 messages are still somewhere clogging up the works but just not showing up.
Tuesday ... all 4,000 new e-mails are back. I quickly disconnect from the wireless and start trying to delete them. Same exact thing happens.
I am currently waiting for a large file with a hyperlink that I asked a friend to e-mail to test that again.
One thing I do not know is where the 4,000 e-mails are being held or how to access them to try again. It is possible they will just show up again tomorrow morning so I want a new way of attempting to delete them.
I use Firefox to access the Internet.

BRContact the carrier the devices are locked to. Apple has nothing to do with this and will not unlock any iPhone for end users.
If the carrier offers unlocking and you meet their requirements, they will then submit the information to Apple to have the device unlocked. -
I had all photos on a Windows desktop. Got a mac laptop, installed LR5, and put all images from Windows onto an external hard drive. When I go to import them into LR on the mac, they are all locked. Help, please!

Yes, that's exactly what happened. If you buy another drive, you could copy from your existing drive to the new and your files will be read/write. The new drive will have to be formatted as an HFS drive (that's the Mac's format). If you need to format it, you use Disk Utility which is in the Utilities folder on your Mac. Be careful with that -- it wipes out whatever is currently on the drive. Make sure you format the right drive.
I keep all my images on an external drive, too. In fact, I have two matching drives and sync them so I always have a backup. -

i have iphone 4 and i used it for a one and half years.i used it in sri lanka and doha qatar also..,recently i update it i.o.s 7, then it was working.after i.o.s 7.0.3 came i again updeted it and now my phone network is not working.now phone is locked.pls help.
I am seeing if I can get another battery even though I do not believe that is the issue. It keeps giving me vdd_under which I believe is under voltage, maybe it is just a faulty battery? It charges up like normal and functions normal (when plugged in, or above 90%) but it gives under voltage warnings and shuts down when in heavy use (using camera or going back and forth to imessage). When just sitting idle it doesn't seem to turn off until that 55-60% mark. It may just be a faulty battery because I feel I installed all of the other cables correctly when replacing the screen, and I don't think those connections should affect the battery anyway except for maybe the logic board cable (the 2nd cable to be unplugged after the battery cable) I guess I could clean that out as well with isopropyl just in case.
Any other suggestions would be helpful... and I will get back to you if a new battery helps. Thanks! -
tried synching iphone for the first time on new PC and got error followed by itunes logo and USB cable picture. No idea what went wrong and now phone is in this screen locked. please help!
I tried connecting to iTunes and neither the PC nor iTunes recognizes the device. I went through all the troubleshooting on the Apple website for this issue and nothing worked. I've reinstalled iTunes, the driver, everything and still can't get either the PC or iTunes to recognize the phone. I don't know what else to do :-( any help or suggestions are highly appreciated!
I would hate to have lost all my info, especially contacts and calendar items since I have no idea what was backed up prior to the phone getting locked on this screen. I've been told that my only option is to go to the phone carrier and they will reset it for me, but that means it will wipe out all the info.
I hope someone has a fix other than that one. -
Cant receive emails - error 'user mailbox locked'
My emails are not filtering through to the 'mail' application on my mac.
I use Virgin, also have a blackberry. I can get the emails from the Virgin site, the emails are coming through on my blackberry.
I can send emails from 'mail'
The error is - The mail server denied access to the account "xxxx" because an administrator or other mail client was using it when Mail tried to log in. Please try again later.
The server error encountered was: user mailbox locked
When I look at connection doctor the error is POP account failed, please make sure user name and password are correct.
As far as I am aware I have not changed anything.

Where/how does Mail display that error message?
Are you accessing that mail account from other computers or devices, or by other means (e.g. webmail), when it happens?
Could it be that you have more than one copy of the Mail application running? How many Mail icons do you see in the Dock?
Have you tried restarting the computer? -
Mailbox Move Issue - Mailbox Locked

I have tried 3 user mailboxes for local move request.
It get-moverequest says all three completed.
Then I cleared the same with Clear-moverequest command.
Now get-moverequest says none.
Now if i login with owa, it says mailbox locked for Movement.
If i try to delete content or once again try to move, it says Mailbox locked by MRS and will be released automatically after 2 hrs.
but its been more than a day still the error remains the same.
Restarted all Exchange services.. Restarted Exchange server.. still no hope
The Exchange console still shows these 3 mailboxes with Old DB name.
If i query through shell, for Mailboxdb for these users, it shows blank.
How do i bring back these mailboxes active and make it usable?

The problem was the movement of mailboxes when the users are accessing it.
This has gone to a stage where both the database has these users listing. One in Live and other in disconnected state.
I need to reduce the DB Mailbox retention to Zero -> disable the mailbox -> clean DB -> reconnect the Mailbox to existing user -> Clean DB.
This made users access their mailboxes with all old mails.
Lesson learnt: Do not move mailboxes when users accessing it though Microsoft says no issues. It may be locked inbetween.

Did you buy the phone new or used? If you bought it used, you will have to talk to whoever you got it from. You cannot bypass the activation lock. Only the owner of the account it's locked with can release the lock.

ipod nano 3rd gen unit windows xp. Nano is locked, though never have done a manual lock on it. Screen is lit and lock button shows. Have latest itunes, but nothing syncs. Have done everything on supports pages including toggle hold button, etc. Screen stays locked. Help please.
Sounds like the hold switch is broken, meaning you'll need to have your iPod serviced/replaced either by Apple or a third party repair company.
