Mailbox randomly goes OFFLINE

Have 4 email accounts.  A couple weeks ago they started to randomly go to Account Offline.  I can click to go account online and next time it checks for mail the email account will go online.  However another email account may go offline.  My wife's iMac started doing this about the same time.  I'm running OS 10.9.5 on a one year old iMAC.   We are on Century Link with embarqmail.com address.  Any suggestions appreciated.   Thanks

Yup, check with your ISP to see if you have connection issues.

  • Hamachi randomly goes offline

I've loaded Hamachi (the latest version, 2.2.0.377) on a friend's Windows 7 computer. It's been on there for a while (a couple of years). I have been logging on recently to do some tech support for him and have noticed that occasionally when I go to connect, Hamachi is offline. I can connect (via TeamViewer) to another computer in his network running Hamachi and then get to this computer as well to get Hamachi back online. The next day I typically have to do the same thing to get back in. The Windows 7 machine is not rebooting; it remains logged on and working fine. I've left the Hamachi chat window on my side open for long periods of time and I can see his machine going offline, online, back offline, etc. at random times. He's not doing it manually. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Hamachi to no avail. Anyone ever seen anything like this? And have a fix? Thanks,Brian

Hi We get this issue too, it happens when a connection becomes poor such as 3G or Satelite.WE have managed to write a script that fires it back up but really isnt viable long term. This issue makes the product completely useless and there seems to be no response to the issue. We are moving to NeoRouter but are sad that what was a great solution is not viable anymore.   Ken

  • Email randomly goes offline. Can I somehow get it to stay online unless I ask it not to?

    Thunderbird question.
Email seems to work fine for me, but... It sometimes may go offline when I am on the web or have put it to sleep. I look for emails and the pop-up says: "You are offline. Would you like to go online...." Not a big deal, but annoying, and also troubling in that I don't know what I may have done to bring this on. It may happen several times in a day, or it may behave itself for a day or two.

Thunderbird goes offline when it sees the network connection go away. Keep that from happening and Thunderbird stays online.
Are you on a laptop that goes to sleep and powers down the network card?
Have you discovered the online/offline icon in the lower left corner of the screen? It looks like 2 monitors. You can check and change states from there.

  • MG6220 Randomly Goes Offline, Won't Power Down Correctly

Connected wirelessly. Printer goes offline for all PCs in my LAN. Attempting to power down printer with power button results in the printer endlessly displaying message "powering down, please wait" but printer never shuts down. Manually unplugging the printer and turning back brings the printer back online. Did not see any similar threads on this site. Any help appreciated. Thanks

  • Extremes (Access Point Mode, Bridged) Constantly Going Offline

I have multiple Extremes (all standalone access point mode, bridged with static IPs) randomly going offline. Each Extreme is connected directly to a main switch. Status lights always remain green however I cannot ping the devices, they do not show up in the Airport Utility and they cease to be accessible/visible via WIFI. Plus, when this happens, I often can STILL connect to devices (e.g. printers) that are plugged into the LAN ports of the "offline" Extremes.
They appear to drop randomly, i.e. not under any particularly heavy load or anything. When I feel them physically, they don't feel unusually warm or anything.
Thoughts? I have already done a hard reset and reconfig on one of the problem devices.

    Hello Julesomar,
It sounds like your Airport Extreme is having intermitent connectivity issues. You have already done what I would have started with by resetting the device. I recommend next troubleshooting for sources of interference with the following article:

  • Skype Going Offline and Online Randomly?

Hi, my Skype keeps going offline and offline very quickly, not even offline then a few seconds later, online, as in every second it's on and off and on and off... etc. Also, if I try to message someone while it's doing this it gives me a really far-off date like February 5, 2020, but it's only when this is happening. In addition, it sometimes drops me from calls and it randomly tells me it's like, five of my contact's birthdays at once. I'm running Windows XP and I'm sure I have the latest version, as I just uninstalled then reinstalled Skype. I'd like to know if this is my internet or Skype freaking out, thanks for reading

  • I have two mail accounts using mac mail. One account goes offline for no apparent reason.  Check mailbox menu all accounts online, password correct, etc.  but still can't get back

one account goes offline for no apparent reason.  I check Mailbox drop down menu for Take all accounts online, check correct password OK, turn mail off and on, reboot computer, etc.  Nothing seems to work.  Has happened in the past, but has also "fixed itself" after unknown time periods.  One account has not been working now for awhile.  I would like to get to the bottom of this.

    Hello,
Who is your eMail provider, the part after the @ sign?
In Mail's Window Menu, choose Connection Doctor, any red dots for status, if so what is the message?
Then click the Show Details button & Check again.

  • Server goes offline at random

I'm using SBS 2008 mainly for running emails and as a data storage for financial and other database programs, so the data is stored on the server.
Unfortunately, for some reason, especially on one workstation (all windows 7 pro) if you stop entering data on the workstation for a short time to answer the phone or whatever, the server goes offline for that user (mainly) so any data on the screen
would have to be entered again. To get it to work again you have to go into windows explorer to tell it to "work online".
As mentioned, it appears to be random, and worse on one workstation.
Any suggestions how to stop this irritation?
    John French

sorry, it was posted in the wrong forum, my mistake, I thought I was in windows server.
but when it does go offline SharePoint is offline for the user as well.
I'll withdraw from this forum and attempt to post it properly.

  • Mac Pro RAID 5 disk goes offline frequently in a random way. What can be causing this odd behavior?

    Hi dudes,
I installed recently two Mac Pro RAID cards inside their corresponding Mac Pro systems. Four 2 TB Hitachi SATA disks are contained inside each system, and configured as RAID 5. Yes, the operating system is installed on this RAID 5 volume in order to get the highest performance of the array, taking advantage of the RAID 5 protection (Autodesk Smoke runs in each system; this application works only with uncompressed video in real time). I already had tested both systems keeping separated the boot disk just for the operating system, and making the RAID 5 volume just with three 2 TB disks, but the performance was slow on both systems.
The performance is now very good, but unfortunately, in both systems happens that sometimes one of the disks goes offline with no apparent reason. The RAID Utility immediately reports the failure and it is mandatory to declare as spare the disk that went offline. Then the rebuild process begins, but in the meantime, the performance goes down in a noticeable way. Sometimes it is even worse, because the disk disappears completely. Then, it is mandatory to turn off the system, and boot it up again, in order to see in the RAID Utility the missing disk, which needs to be declared as spare in order to be reintegrated into the RAID 5 volume in a slow rebuilding process.
Some important remarks: this very new Mac Pro systems do not have the iPass cable (at least apparently; I already disassembled completely one of these systems). This cable is mentioned in one Mac RAID card manual that I found over the internet. The diagrams do not match exactly with the Mac Pro nor the Mac Pro RAID board. I did not find a proper iPass connector in any of the Mac Pro RAID cards (?!). So, my guess is that currently the communication between the system and its Mac Pro RAID card is just by means of the internal bus. I think that if the iPass connection were mandatory, the RAID Utility would report it with a noticeable error message. Please advise.
I think that these Mac Pro RAID cards need a firmware upgrade, in order to be able to work fine with big SATA drives. Again, please advise.
    Thanks in advance from Mexico.
    Sincerely,
    Martin Ponce de Leon

    Hi Grant,
Thank you for your prompt response. The manual is a PDF document issued by Apple and it seems OK, but no updated to the latest Mac Pro system and Mac Pro RAID. I do not find the link where I found this manual. The systems belong to one of our customers. As far as I remember, in the printed manual included with the boards, it is not mentioned anything about the iPass cable, just about the battery cable. Do you know where can I get a PDF manual of the latest Mac Pro RAID card and the latest Mac Pro system? This client is far from our offices. So, I would prefer a PDF copy of this manual.
The drives that have gone offline, once they are back, are reported in a good status in the RAID Utility. Besides that, I have tested them in another system in our facilites, and all of them work fine. So, my guess is that the high capacity drives are not yet supported by the Mac Pro RAID card, or it requires a firmware update.
They do need to have in the same volume OS and video storage because three disks do no provide a good performance (they need also RAID 5), but four disks work fine... excepting when one disk is missing. Please advise. Thank you.
    Best Regards,
    Martin

  • HP 309A goes offline daily, can't keep wireless connection

I have tried chat help, hands on computer tech in my home ($$$$), re-installing multiple times from start to finish, setting IP address to manuel, nothing works....it prints for an hour or a day and then goes offline again and I have to do the whole thing all over again.  I'm sick of this....bought the printer in 4/2010 online.  I'm past the return date.  Any body have a real, permanent solution for getting this printer to work wirelessly?  I was very happy with my previous HP all in one printer...it finally wore out.  If this isn't solved soon, I'll dump it and NEVER buy another HP product....HP are you listening?????

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.  I wish I had a summary of what the others who have tried to help did.  But because I don't, a little more information would help.
When you say 'goes offline' do you mean the printer  display says offline or the connection to the printer from your computer?
Is the time of the 'going offline' consistent or random - maybe after a specific amount of time?
Do you have another network you could connect the printer to temporarily to see if the problem still happens?
Has the printer always done this or did this start after a few days or weeks?
I'm just trying to determine if this is a printer issues or the environment where the printer resides.  If it is the printer you should get it replaced - especially if this issue has been happening since day one.
    Thanks,
    Foster

  • Iphone4 with ios5 goes offline often

Iphone4 with ios5 goes offline often.can anyone give a solution.the phone was purchased as an unlocked one and the OS5 was then upgraded.

Yup, tried that. Still see the same problem.
For example, I just went into an inbox and deleted 5 emails from an inbox then went back up into the Mailbox interface. The inbox still displays 5 new emails waiting and the status bar at the bottom says "Connecting to mail..." After 15-20 seconds, it finished doing whatever it was doing and the number 5 disappears from the inbox list.
In the past, the "5" would have disappeared right away. Reseting the phone didn't fix anything.
What is the phone checking on now after upgrading to iOS5 that it wasn't checking on before?

  • Keeping c310 from going offline

my c310 goes offline even if my computer is not sleeping.  How do I keep my printer on 24/7?  I can't even turn off power button to restart.  I have to pull the plug to reboot.  I'm sick of this procedure.

    Ghery wrote:
I have the same problem and the links did not go directly to anything useful.  The C310a goes to an off-line status at random times.  Attempting to print from a computer on the network, or using ePrint results in the same message - the printer is offline.  Removing power at the plug, returning power and hitting the power button is the only identified fix.  And, yes, I'm using a static IP address and have tried locations closer to the router with the same result.
The referral to the other forums I provided above was because that is where you will find help for basic functional issues like the type you are raising - this forum is for web services issues and you have a more basic printer wifi connetivity issue.
You should start a new thread in those forums as indicated - the first one if your printer is totally locking up, the second one if the printer is responsive but won't stay connected to your wireless network.

  • HP LaserJet 600 M602 printer goes offline every night

    Hi,
I have a HP LaserJet 600 M602 CE991A printer on a wired network. I have quite a few other printers on the network as well and do not show me this kind of behavior.
But for some reason, this printer, from as soon as I bought it, goes offline every time from around 5.20-5.30pm to around 8.30pm. I have a ping tester running as I am trying to figure out what's going on and I got 100% drop every night for that time period.
I looked to see if there was a setting that puts this device to sleep or so but no, I cant find anything. I have tried with the energy setting sleep mode on or off, wake up events to trigger a wake up call to the printer but no luck.

I am out of options, in our other locations, we have sam printer but a CE993A models and they do not show this kind of behavior at all.
I am at a deadlock here.

    Hi @Halan ,
I see by your post that you aren't able to print when the laptop isn't in the same area as the printer. I would like to help you out today.
What is the distance of the printer and the Laptop when the printer goes offline?
