Mailboxes update time won't update
Previously, after opening up the 'Mailboxes' app, it would go and retrieve any emails (or I could press the get mail button of course), and once finished, would amend the 'Updated XX/XX/XX X.XXpm' at the bottom of the screen. This was of course handy for when I next checked my mail - I could see how long since I last checked it.
However, it has now stopped updating this time. It is stuck on the date and time of 8/08/10 9.34pm. It never changes. Oddly, when I go into the individual mailboxes, they have the correct updated time and update each time, but not on the main 'Mailboxes' screen.
Any ideas?
Hi SalmonSeller
I suggest closing the mail app in the multi tasking bar then reopening mail. Does the time update correctly once it has been re-opened?

time won't displayed in title
i can't see time in title when "backlight timer" set to 2 seconds
please helpWhen you set "Time in Title" in the Settings to On, it will only show the time in the title after 3 seconds of inactivity. (and by that time, your backlight would automatically turn off if you have it set for "2 seconds").
So you you'd want to set your Backlight Timer to "5 Seconds" if you would like to see the time in the title.

Missing mailbox and time machine
Somehow I lost a mailbox from Mail. No problem I thought, I've got time machine. So I go to the Mail folder in my library then to the mailbox and start Time Machine. I highlight the mail box and ask time Machine to restore. What I get when I open Mail is an empty mailbox folder.
Since the mailbox was more important than my recent mail, I opened applications and restarted Time Machine. I went back a couple of days until my mailbox was present and asked Time Machine to restore the Mail program. It did but still with an empty mailbox folder for my missing mailbox.
So I tried again with Time Machine and actually opened my missing mailbox where I could see all the e-mail and open individual letters. It was there. I highlighted the email and Time Machine said click restore. I did and I don't think anything happened. At least my mailbox folder was still empty when I opened Mail.
Is there any way to restore a missing mailbox with Time Machine?Actually I must have done something right. If I searched Mail for an email address I knew was in my missing mailbox, it could find it and actually open the letter, but it didn't tell me where it was.
In looking under the mailbox menu down at the bottom it says "rebuild." So I opened my empty mailbox and clicked on rebuild. Like magic, my mail reappeared. -
Access mailboxes in time machine back up
My hard drive crashed and I had to replace it with a new one.
On my previous drive I was running Mountain Lion, I upgraded to Maverick on the new drive.
I have my previous drive backed up on time machine, but was unable to restore from a time machine back up, before installing Maverick (files corrupted)
I absolutely need to get back my old mailboxes from Time Machine !
How do I access the hidden library in my time machine back up?
Now that I have Maverick, it is not entering my Mountain lion back ups when I enter time machine.
The back ups are of course vivible on my finder desktop on the back up drive.
Is there a way to access the hidden library in the time machine back up without entering time machine?I am accessing through the TM interface. The TM interface has multiple folders on this particular weeks back-up. Some I can access and get to the files inside and some I do not have access to. Unfortunately, the folder I want to access and find the single file contains over 200,000 files. If I were to restore the folder, it would overwrite three months worth of files and make them outdated. I need to get access into the folder and restore that individual file.
Is there a way to restore on a second external drive to keep out current files in tack?

Emails in restored mailbox from Time Machine are not visible
I have an IMAC 5.1 with OSX 10.6.8. When I restored a mailbox using Time Machine, the mailbox appears in Apple Mail however no emails are visible even though they are present in the folder in library/mail/mailboxes in Finder. Any suggestions on how I can make the emails visible?
ThanksI managed to find the solution. In Mail under Mailbox in the header there is a Rebuild button. I pressed it and my emails are now visible.

I can't turn on my Mac Book Pro. If I press the power button will beep 3 times (won't turn on) stop and beep 3 times again. What can I do?
Three beeps at startup almost always indicate bad RAM. You probably need to get your RAM replaced. Bring it in to Apple for a definitive diagnosis if you are unable to run the Apple HardwareTest

Restore deleted mailboxes fro time machine
I have accidentally deleted an email account and lost all the emails. They are on my time machine backup somewhere, but I can't find them because it doesn't show the user library. Does anyone know how to restore mailboxes from time machine back onto my macbook air please? (OS 10.7.5)
Bring the Mail browser window forward, then enter Time Machine. Scroll back in the time-travel view to the most recent snapshot containing the messages you want to restore. Select the messages, then click Restore. The messages will be restored to a new mailbox. From there you can move them wherever you like.

I have travelled overseas and my phone won't update the time correctly (says it's 3:10am when's it's actually 10:10am) and I don't have my computer to sync to. What should I do?
Hi and welcome to Apple Discussions...
Tap Settings > General > Date & Time. Toggle the 24-Hour Time off and on and make sure "Set Automatically" is set to ON.
If that didn't help, go here for instructions to do a hard reset. http://www.wikihow.com/Hard-Reset-an-iPhone

My time won't update on my phone
my iphone 5c will not keep the time and date updated. i've reset phone and it is still doing it. What can i do to fix this?
Are you connected to cellular? If you go to Settings>General>Date & Time, is it set to Automatically? Date & Time information when the device is set to Automatic comes from the cellular carrier's towers.

EpsiHi Epsi,
According to your description, the issue seems that your shared mailbox can’t be updated automatically. If your shared mailbox is added as an additional mailbox via
the Exchange email account’s Advanced tab (using the
Open these additional mailboxes option) or via Auto-Mapping,
please check the following settings in Outlook:
1. Open Outlook, click File > Account Settings
> Account Settings.
2. Click Change and make sure Use Cached Exchange Mode is checked.
3. Click More Settings > Advanced tab. Make sure use Cached Exchange Mode is checked and uncheck Download shared folders to use shared folder in Online mode.
4. Click Apply > OK > Next > Finish.
Then restart Outlook to check whether the issue persists.
Regards,
Winnie Liang
