Mailchimp users? (email newsletters/campaigns)

This is pretty cool. Mailchimp has released the details of an
API that lets
you build pages for YOUR site that can read from and write to
your account
with Mailchimp.
In the past, if you have an account with Mailchimp with
campaigns for 4
different clients on that account (or worse, 4 separate
mailchimp accounts),
you'd have to go to mailchimp, log into the accounts, access
the campaigns,
and copy the report data to pass to your client. Depending on
the type of
reporting they wanted, this could involve several file
downloads/copies.
Now, you can build a single page and place it on your website
(or on your
client's website), which they can access, and retrieve this
information for
themselves.
Although it's still in beta, it works PRETTY well (there are
several
functions that are still broken) enough to actually do
finished interfaces
with.

Hey there, Easiest way Camo is to make a Newsletter Archive web app.
Then just copy the html from the editor view from the campaign and paste that in html view into the content area of a web app item. Give it a name and have no template use.
Then form a nice list layout and when they click it they view the newsletter.

I want to trigger an email campaign to be sent X days after a customer places an order, each time he/she places an order. Thanks for the response. I should clarify my initial question. There are two groups of purchasers that I would like to target with different email marketing campaigns: First time purchasers and, (ii) Repeat purchasers. Ideally the system would be able to distinguish between these two groups during the checkout process so that the correct email campaign could be triggered. I thought about basing it on whether the purchaser was logged in or not (where 'logged in = repeat purchaser'), but our site asks visitors to register very early in the process, so conceivably, a logged in user may very likely be a first time purchaser.
The more I think about it, the more it looks like I will need to manual email marketing list segmentation and management.
I sincerely appreciate any ideas you might have.

Unable to get User Email Using PDK API

I have to get portal user email in my jsp portlet. I have use the PDK API :
PortletRenderRequest pr = (PortletRenderRequest) request.getAttribute(HttpCommonConstants.PORTLET_RENDER_REQUEST);
String Email = pr.getUser().getEmail();
But the result of Email is null and i have inserted the user email in portal user profile. Does anybody can help me on this?

What's your Portal version? In 9.0.2.6 and above you can retrieve Email information from the Oracle Internet Directory (OID).

Broad casting Webi report in excel format to different users email ids

Hello,
Seriously looking for the help, please help with the solution for below scenario.
We have a requirement to schedule broadcasting of Webi reports to users email in excel format from infoview. But our concern is how the system takes care of authorizations of users when we broadcast the report to their mail id as excel file.
For example we have one webi report for Finance and there are thousands of users for each department, cost centre etcu2026so how to broadcast the same webi report in excel to different users with only data they have authorized to see. We have committed to client that we can do this with out much massive overhead, please advise what is the easiest way to achieve this. I read something like this can be done using authorization profiles in CMS but creating those many profiles and mapping them to relevant authorizations is not possible as there are thousands of users with different authorization levels. And Client is expecting this broadcasting need to be done automatically with out every time manual intervention.

Please use the Dynmanic Recipients functionality of the Publication.
For this we need to do follow steps.
1) Create the WebI Report that needs to be published(Broadcasted)
2) create Deski/webi report which contains the user details and email id's for publishing main report.
3) Map the properties of souce report with Dynamic Recipient report.
Please refer the user guide for more inforamtion.This helps you in avoiding manual creation of profiles in CMC.

WF-Batch id needs to be changed on runtime with the user email id.

I have a requirement where i have to send an email through workflow, but in the from i have to pass the employee responsible email id. I got the email id in a container. Now how can i replace WF-Batch ( i.e. by default) with the user email id in the from to send email to approver.
Anykind of help will be appreciated in this context.

Approach that i am following is "i created a ZFM to send email with parameters (from, to, message, subject), this FM reference can be check on the below mention link. I created a method in BO to call that FM and then call that BO's method in activity step. I think this is the only approach that can be followed. I may be wrong. If anyone knows any other approach then please reply, or i will mark this thread as answered.

I need a little script that sends a link adress to a users email as soon as he/she presses a submit button.
I have to create a form element for the email (of course) and a PHP-script that somehow attaches/sends the link from a textfield in EA when you press the button, I guess?

Mine has to be send to the email adress that the user defines.

Hey RP in Oz,
You can run a contacts report and select 'Default Address Type' as an 'Address Details Field' which will include the zip code a customer has inputted. You can then export the report, open it up in Excel (or similar) and filter based on the postcode. Once you have modified the list in excel, formatted it correctly and are satisfied, you can then import the report as a mailing list via E-Mail Marketing > Mailing Lists.

You create REL entry points:
Name - getEmail
FQ Class Name - masalan.user
Method Signature - getEmailAddress(String)
Now, create a parameter Username on the job chain.
Parameter To should have the value =Custom.getEmail(chainParameters.Username)
You specify the username in the Username parameter, the email address will be retrieved from CPS. The user must have logged on to CPS at least once, alternatively, you can import the user.
Note that to import the user, you must assign at the very least the AccessScheduler action in UME.

We have requiremnt to generate the csv file from the report (Bex query)automatically and need to send that file automatically to user email address every week.
It should be done automatically and one more thing the file name should contain that particuar date
for example if we generate file automatically today the file name should be like below.

Is there a trick to publishing iWeb page html in email marketing campaigns?

I've searched around on this forum but haven't come across an answer. What I'd like to do is create a webpage in iWeb and use it with GoDaddy Express Email marketing. When I do it, it comes up all funky. I've tried it with Constant Contact, too, but no luck. Can this be done or do the iWeb html codes not jibe with other applications? I'd really love to use my own webpage design consistently through email marketing campaigns. Their templates are pretty ugly.
If someone knows any tricks, I'd love to learn them. If it's not doable, then go ahead and break the news to me.
