Mails on iOS7

i found a problem with the new iOS7 on my iphone 4s. Since, I've upgraded my os i see its difficult to download, delete or even read mails. No matter its gmail/ hotmail. it takes a long time and sometimes when i try to delete, it just comes again, i need to wait till it updates the mails and then deleete again.
it kind of didnt happedn with ios6 but with 7 its getting me crazy as some mails, you just delete at once, but ehy just keep poping up again. and then you need to wait.
same on ipad. its not the wifi or my carrier, because i tried it on other iphone on different wifi, but had the same problem.
I guess, I would recommend appple to suggest me something or manage this issue by updating or doing something to the iOS7.
its not a big issue just alittle annoying when you are busy and it takes a **** of your time to do a simple procedure..

Apple is not here. These are user to user support forums and we are all users like yourself.
Is there a question somewhere in the above rambling for us, your fellow users?

I have the same issue, but with my Ipad. Just worked on emails for 2 hrs and cannot find them in outbox, sent items, drafts, or in my inbox (i cc't myself in one). The account does work from from my laptop (not apple), but it just lets emails sent from my ipad disappear.
What's this about..? Can't we trust emailing with Ipad anymore, or is it just too early in the morning and I lost my emailing skills?

my wife's iPhone 4S went haywire after iOS7. First it would not authorize iMessage ever, and there was a problem with all "Push" notifications. I had to backup, reset and restore for it to work. After that, her business POP email account stopped sending mail. It will receive emails normally, but she is unable to send. If you type an email and send it, it disapears, not "thinking" animation on the top, and it is not received. Checking the email folders there is no "sent itens" or "outbox" folders.
Tried deleting and re-creating the account, to no avail. Any ideas? I really did not want to full reset it again, she will make me eat the d**m phone.

It means the messages were not received and your SMS option is disabled
Settings > Messages > Send as SMS > On

Problems with PDF attachments in Mail in ios7

When I get a PDF in an email in ios7 it will not let me open it with another app. It will only save it as an image and if there is more than one page it only displays the first page. How can I get the file to open in another app so I can view it.

What do you mean exactly by "deleted iCloud"?
I do experience the problem not only with my iCloud mail account, but with all others also.
Are you sure you have 7.0"3"? For me it says 7.02 is the newest and current version.

Writing my post I made an mistake! I deleted my app CloudOn instead of iCloud and as soon I did it, I could handle my PDF attachment as before using iOS5.x!
The reason for this might be the fact, that CloudOn currently, according to the AppStore, is not upgraded to iOS 7.0.2!
Regarding iOS 7.0.3 it was a typo! I'm using 7.0.2

Attaching photos in mail on ios7

In the old ios6 when attaching photos to mail you had the choice to resize the photos, this is now not available in ios7, see how it worked in ios6

You are right, this option seems to be gone. I am pretty sure this is a bug, though, because the option is not even appearing when I am using cellular data and I can't imagine Apple wants us to sent 3MB images over cellular. You should sent feedback about this ( http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html ).

Can't open PDF email attachments from mail app. (iOS7, iPad2)

Since upgrading to iOS7 I cannot open PDF email attachments from the "Mail" app. The attachment appears as a "tap to download" icon, after downloading it appears as an image of the first page of the PDF. An extended press of the PDF image results in "save image" and "copy" options, but no "open in" option.
I have tried closing and re-opening mail, restarting the iPad, several different attachments. Still no "Open in" option.
Any help with this?

I work in a support organization and we've seen variations of this issue develop on various iphones and ipads with ios7. Oddly, not everyone is experiencing this, just some people.
In my own case, I simply downloaded Acrobat Reader for free and can read the things fine.
We use an exchange activesync email server and when each email comes in it indicates at the very bottom that it has been downloaded as plain text and to click to download the entire message. I've tried clicking to download and not clicking and I can read the PDF either way.
In my own case I can view PDF files and/or also save them by pressing and holding the icon of the PDF in the email.
The other thing one of our end users noticed: if she emailed the PDF directly to her iPhone5 and iPad it would not be readable but if she forwarded it to her offsite Yahoo account and then forward to her corporate email it would open.
I think there's definetely something going on with the formatting of the PDF (was it created by a true Adobe PDF distiller or one of the many clones?), what email application attached it? (Outlook, Eudora, IOS Mail, etc) and how many PDF reading apps are on your IOS devices?
For instance I have the default PDF reader, iBooks, Kindle, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and there may be others that I don't even know has PDF capability. Only Apple probably has a good idea of how many apps utilize this.

Cannot send e-mails in IOS7

after upgrade to IOS7 I can no longer send e-mails. Response says smtp server not found, but it is same as in past that did work.

Same here, I upgraded to IOS 7.0.2 and now my iPhone cannot sent mail via SMTP. It says \:
Cannot Send Mail
The user name or password for account is incorrect.
When I go into the setting of this email account and click on SMTP I see the settings are greyed out and I cannot modify them. I can see the problem though, the user name field is blank and I cannot modify it.
I can see the older SMTP setting for this account with the server turned off but when I turn it on I cannot turn off the primary server to replace it.
Whatever Apple did with this upgrade affected the SMTP outgoing server and I am not happy about this.
Apple, please fix this!

Yep, you'll probably have to delete and recreate the account. If it was an iCloud or IMAP account, no mail will be lost. If it was POP, all mail will be lost if you delete it so back it up elsewhere.

Unread mail after ios7 Upgrade

I have just updated to iOS7 on both my iPhone 5 & iPad Mini. I have all of my mail accounts on both items, 2 x Gmail & 3 x POP accounts.
On my iPad Mini EVERYTHING is as I expected - I had several (7) unread emails on it before upgrading & they were still there when I completed the process.
My iPhone 5 however is showing 123 unread emails for one POP account and 119 for another. I have tried all of the methods in that I can find in the differenet communities threads without any success.
I have attached a screen capture of one of the accounts to help.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Well, without doing anything, other than leaving my iPhone turned on in the Email application with the unread mailboxes active the phone eventually found all of the so called "unread" messages, some going back a long, long time and ones that I do recall either reading or deleting as they arrived on my phone.
All I had to do then was go back to the resective mailboxes and select them alll & mark them as read and now I have no "unread" messages on my phone ( I left this for about an hour, in which time I got a few emails that increased the unread number but cleared as normal once I'd opened them )
There's obviously a glitch in the software somewher that's causing this but mine has rectified itself

Cant open attachments in my mail since ios7 on iphone 4

Hi there,
since I updated my Iphone 4 to IOS 7, my mail is not working properly.
The problem is that I can't open any attachments that I recieve, JPG, JPEG, PNG, PDF etc.
I can see the attachment and I can tap on it so it opens, but it keeps loading, waited 3 hours for a image without result.
Hope sombody has experienced the same problem before?

Install the update to 7.1. I hear that makes the iphone 4 usable again.

Ipad 2 will not respond to mail, using IOS7.0.4. Also, will not update apps

Two problems. Ipad 2 wil not repond to open mail. Receive Cannot Get Mail error. The Ipad is using IOS 7.0.4.
Also, the apps will not be updated. The system attempts to update apps but will not update.
I received a jpeg via email from an Iphone 4 yesterday and I feel like that was when this issue occurred. In addition, I saved it to my photos. I deleted the email but not the photo that was saved. I have tried shutting down numerous times. Will work for a few minutes then happens all over again. I have read some old posts that suggest signing out of Itunes account on Ipad, shutting down then starting back up and signing in to Itunes again. A few apps updated but two others will not update at all. System keeps attempting to update but nothing happens.

Thank you. I did the reset steps and the mail opened. Tried the internet and no url's will open. I am sending this to you from my macbook pro. Went back to Mail after a few minutes to check if it will open again and I get the same error I did before resetting--Cannot Get Mail.

Group mail in iOS7

Can someone tell me how to send emails to a group in iOS 7?
If it is still not possible can anyone tell me why? OK- it's no big deal to use the plus button to add individuals in a group one at a time but I question why my 'phone can't bulk send when it is so easy on my iMac.

TS3899 Cannot send mail activesync IOS7.04?

Some times my iPad2 cannot send email using an activesync account. I am using iOS 7.04. The problem can be solved for some time by stopping the mail app (restart of the iPad is not sufficient!) Is anybody experiencing the same problem?

Deleting e-mail in iOS7 does not delete message in MBP mailbox

Since updating to Mavericks, I am not able to have my inbox on my MBP update as a result of actions taken on my iPhone 5S. If I delete an e-mail message on my Mac, it will also be deleted on my phone. If I delete a message on my phone, it wil NOT be deleted on my Mac. Calendar updates work fine in both directions so it doesn't appear to be an iClooud issue. Is anyone aware of a bug (or a fix) that would prohibit my mail account on the MBP from updating what has happened on my iPhone?

A MobileMe account is a separate email account from the POP account or from any other email accounts that you access with Outlook.
A MobileMe account is an IMAP account. With an IMAP account, all server stored mailboxes for the account will be kept synchronized with the server automatically with all email clients used to access the account. In this case, with the iPhone's Mail client and with Outlook.
A POP account is designed to be accessed with a single email client only and mailboxes with a POP account cannot be kept synchronized with multiple email clients used to access the account.
RIM provides a dedicated email delivery service for Blackberrys which Apple does not provide for the iPhone. You access email accounts with the iPhone's Mail client as you do with Outlook on your computer.
