Mails stuck in spool

I recently upgraded to CFMX7 on Windows 2003 and something
interesting is happening with cfmail. When "Spool mail msgs for
delivery" is checked, no mail gets delivered. It just sits in the
spool. Uncheck the box and the mail goes out.
I'd like to use the spool, but I've got to be able to send
mails, so I have to go with the no spooling for the time being. Is
anyone familiar with this?
Thanks

Might want to check your logs to make sure everything is
going well. In certain instances, sub systems (such as the mail
handler) can crash, but the system will still process CFML. The
only way to restore these sub systems is to restart ColdFusion.
I had one of our VB guys write a little app for me that
checks those folders at a preset time. And if it finds files
sititng there it'll pop up a little alert on my screen.

  • Printer stuck in spooling after first print

    Hello,
I have a new laptop in the office with an HP ColorLaserJet CM2320nf MFP printer connected to our network.
The drivers installed without issue. After every reboot, the first document I choose to print will print fine from any program.
Then any subsequent print from *any* program I try to make will get stuck in 'spooling', and even crash the program I'm in.
I've tried a completely clean install of the drivers and the reinstall produced the exact same results.
Is this a known issue and what are some suggestions to fix?
Running Windows 7 Professional 32 Bit
    Many thanks in advance

When in the dock, right-click the printer icon and choose Auto Quit.

  • Outlook 2013 mail stuck in Outbox

We just started using Outlook 2013 and Exchange 2013 (Fresh install) but we got a problem with additional mailboxes.
When you open additional mailboxes on your exchange account settings where you have send as permissions and full access and then send an e-mail from that mailbox it stays in the outbox. Sending an e-mail in owa works fine from the mailbox.
    What can this be?

We need to try basic steps for this mail stuck in outbox issue as below:
Work offline, move the stuck mail into another folder. Restart Outlook and Work online to send it again.
Temporarily uninstall or disable firewall and antivirus software.
    Test in Outlook safe mode.
Create a new profile and re-setup your account.
Let me know the resualt. Thanks.

  • Mail stuck in outbox. Mac locks up

I know there is a known issue with mail and there are numerous threads on the mail memory leak.  I am amazed a core app like mail has been neglected by apple for so long but anyway.   I have a mail stuck in the outbox and cannot get rid of it due to the memory leak.  Within a few seconds of launching mail the app hogs 10gig of ram and counting which doesn't give me change to get to the offending message.  I cannot rebuild mailboxes either.  I have been told it might be a gmail issue but I cannot do a thing once I click the dreaded mail icon.  Any pointers would be appreciated

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then launch Mail and wait for it to do whatever it's doing. Select any lines that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
Some private information, such as your name or email address, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

  • Mail stuck in mail spool queue; 0-byte mail files

We've had several occasions lately when mail gets stuck and won't send out of the mail/spool folder. In doing some research, I note others have had this problem when a 0-byte mail item gets created and it evidently hangs up the queue. The only solution I've found is restarting CF service;deleting the 0-byte file does not help. Does anyone have another solution? But more importantly, and to which I have not found an answer: why are 0-byte mails being created; what cuases this?

Yes, you are correct.  It is a known CF problem with no fix that I am aware of.  It is unknown exactly what causes the 0 byte files.  It is necessary to do the following:
    - stop the cf services.
    - delete the 0 byte files (zero byte files)
    - start the services
I created a batch file that
    - stoped the cf services
    - used a program from the Windows Resource Kit called "robocopy.exe"  With robocopy you can move files that are smaller than xx bytes to a different folder.  Then del *.* those files.
    - started the cf services
Then used task scheduler to launch the batch file once a day in the middle of the night, so it would automatically keep itself clean.

  • Mail Stuck in Queue AGAIN and More Often now

I had posted some time ago about my our companies email getting stuck in the queue, but at the time I thought it was just a rare instance.
This is happening more often now (just happened 2 days in a row) and I'm worried that some day I won't be able to recover from this.
Currently this is what I have to do to fix the problem, first I TRY to click the "Retry" button in Server Admin under "Mail Queue" and always, this does not work, secondly I ssh into the machine and issue an /sbin/reboot and once the server comes back up, I then have to go back into Server Admin and click the "Retry" button again and this finally allows the email to go through, usually around 500 emails by the time I notice it in the morning and when it finally starts sending those emails through, our CPU is through the roof during this process.
This system has never been completely stable and I have installed from scratch many times. Because the system hasn't ever been stable, I have created a CRON that issues the "/sbin/reboot" command every 2 am.
I want to resolve these issues once and for all and have myself a solid install (By the way, when I have 10.3 server on this machine way back when, it was always solid). Please help?
I will post my configuration in the next message.

  • How to get rid of Mail stuck in Apple Mail Exchange Inbox?

I have my Exchange 2007 Account set up in Apple Mail.  Recently, there is one email (duplicated about 10 times) that I can't delete.  Every time I try to delete, I get an ambigious Exchange error message.  I've tried deleting and re-provisioning the account, but that doesn't work.  I don't have this issue when accessing my Exchange account from a PC or other Apple Devices, only from my MacbookPro Apple Mail.  How can I clear this and delete these stuck emails?  Thank you.

Click and hold an icon until they all start jiggling and a X appears. Click the X to delete the partial download.

  • Sending Purchase Order in mail without the spool generation

    Dear All,
When i create a Purchase Order using Tcode ME21N, the PO should go by mail to an external email id as a pdf attachment.
A Z sapscript is used . The spool request is not generated.
Could anyone please let me know the method/code to use the script data for creating Purchase Order and send it via email without spool generation.
    Waiting for solution.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Bhavika

    Hi,
    as i said:
create an printer with devices type PDF1, set  host spool access method to M (E-Mail to Receiver/Owner).
    Use this printer as output-device.
To create and use a printer with PDF1 try searching in SCN or use SAP OSS.

  • Acrobat 8.1.6 stuck in "spooling"

I am using Acrobat 8, with updates up to 8.1.6, on Vista 64 bit with SP2 installed. All was fine until mid week, but now I cannot create PDF files. After add in are installed, all documents get  "stuck" in printer spooling. Any ideas what is wrong?

Since the print-to-file apparently works, try printing again without the print-to-file (normal print). I suspect that will hang up the way you have been finding. If so, then use ctrl-alt-del and select the task list. Somewhere in the long list of tasks running in windows should be AcroTray.exe. If it is not there, then go to the Distiller folder and start it. See if that resolves the problem. If so, be sure that AcroTray.exe is in your startup folder.
