Mailsession Multicast Error!!

I need to use the javax.mail.Session class to send mail.
It works on a normal WL server, but not on a clustered server.
On the bottom of my cluster weblogic.properties file I have something like
          weblogic.resource.MailSession.weblogic.resource.mail.testSession=sid@address...
When I start a server in the cluster, it gives this error on startup:
          [Date]<E><MulticastSocket> Error sending blocked message
java.io.IOException: Class javax.mail.session with code=-1 does not implement Serialiable,
Externalizable, or WLSerializable...(dump originating at weblogic.Server.main(Server.java:55)
Then during each heartbeat I get:
[Date]<E><Cluster>Multicast socket send error: state dump
java.io.IOException: Class javax.mail.Session with code=-1 does not implement Serializable,
          Externalizable, or WLSerializable...
          Any ideas?

This is a bug in WLS. It should be fixed in the latest service pack that is due out anytime. Or
if it is already out, you check the release notes.

  • 5508 - Multicast Error Messages - Receive Multicast Queue is full on Controller

I'm starting to see an error creep up that I havn't seen since 2003/2004 on my brand new 5508 controllers.  I'm recieving the following from my WCS:
Receive Multicast Queue is full on Controller and then on the controller itself RX Multicast Queue Full.  I understand this used to be due to a large influx of ARP requests or CDP packets on older controllers but, this was supposed to be fixed in an update many years ago.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this on their 5508's.  These were advertised as having the horsepower to handle our user loads which arn't really that high at 300 users at any given time max.  Has anyone seen this?

Traditionally, this was a cosmetic error, a the WLC uses the same queue for Multicast, Unicast and Broadcast traffic.
One thing to check is that you aren't trunking all of your VLAN to the WLC, just the ones that support wireless clients.

  • Multicast error

    Hi,
We have just updated our machines with AMD motherboards. We used one as
trial, have to update sound card drivers, then we created an image and
could upload and download image from server to this machine. However, when
we tried to use this machine as master to multicast other machines, the
client machines would not start, error: cannot find partition.
What did I do wrong or miss?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Wka vs. multicast error logging

I have been moving our caches from multicast to use wka. Along the way It seems as if the wka seting provides less and/or different logging in the jvm error log.
For example, with multicast enabled, I had a jdom error that was correctly being reported in the error log. Once I enabled wka, the error did not appear even though the problem still existed. It was only switching back to multicast that I again saw the error and was able to correct
If this is true, is there a setting in the tangosol-coherence-override.xml file that will provide the same type if logging the multicast settings seem to produce.

    ll bean, freeport maine

    Hi CJ.
I wonder if you had a configuration error in the tangosol-coherence-override.xml when you defined the WKA list. As a result you could have the entire cluster configuration using the default settings instead and as a result not seeing your specific cache configuration.
Could you please send the WKA configuration to support at tangosol.com, so we could verify the correctness of the setup.

We recently upgraded our SCCM environment from 2012 SP1 to SCCM 2012 R2 and installed KB2905002 to fix the slow OSD issue.

Make sure you are not running into a name resolution issue in WinPE by hitting the "F8" command support once WinPE boots up and run a quick ping test using just the short name (NETBIOS) of the Multicast Distribution Point Server (NOT
THE FQDN) and see if it resolves the IP address of the server properly.

  • Multicast Error Message

I am getting the following error message on my catalyst 6506 switches:
    2007 Oct 26 13:41:21 EST -04:00 %MCAST-5-RX_IGMPREPORT: IGMP: Rcvd IGMP Report 01-00-5e-00-00-02 on 3/11
I receive the message on numerous trunk ports and the multicast MAC will vary.
The only info I've found online is that the message is informational only. I am seeing tons of these messages and would like to know if it's normal and what should be done about it.... if anything.

This may be a cause of concern . Typically the address range 224.0.x will map to the multicast mac of 01-00-5e-00-00-xx. What the switch is complaining about is that some one is sending an IGMP join for a group that should be used by only control protocols like OSPF , PIM , EIGRP etc. The key is to always use a multicast ip with a non-zero second and 3rd octet so that it never maps to the mac address that falls into a range of control protocols. This problem is due to 32:1 mapping of Multicast ip to mac addresses. What that means is potentially 32 multicast ip addresses could have the same mac address. For example 224.0.0.1 , 225.0.0.1 , 239.0.0.1 will all map to 0100.5e00.0001 . Now even though 225.0.0.1 and 239.0.0.1 have nothing to do with control protocols and should be perfectly fine to be used by users , the mac addres however ends up mapping to a well-known mac address and hence the syslog message that you are seeing . using a multicast ip with non-zero second and 3rd octet will result in multicast ip never mapping to a well known mac address.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
    Salman.

  • Multicast error 0x80091007

When using multicast in same VLAN as ConfigMgr server is it works fine. When I try to use multicast in other vlan, multicast session starts but fails almost immediately with error 0x80091007.
In problematic VLAN computers might not resolve ConfigMgr server with shortname. Could it cause this problem?

  • Task Sequence Failed 0x80091007. SCCM 2012 R2 OSD

    Hi,
I have multicast deployment issue with Configuration Manager 2012 R2.
Unicast is working fine, Multicast throwing error 0x80091007.
Wait time starts and after 40 to 50 seconds pops up with error 0x80091007
I have already tried Redistributing and recreating image, trying with different systems, Direct access from DP settings, validating share access and all.
There is no SMSTS.LOG available on client systems.

    Hi,
    How about MCSISAPI.log?
Here is a blog talks about this error, you could have a look.
"Update 19-6-2013: Nick send me a possible solution in comments. What you have to do is make sure you don't have a custom Multicast range set - use the setting "Use IPv4 addresses within any range"
in the SCCM 2012 multicast tab under Distribution Point properties.
The default is 239.0.0.1 to 239.0.0.254 - if you have a custom range set - it IGNORES it and uses a random address in 239 range anyways. He has tried to statically set a 239 range on both SCCM multicast and WDS multicast settings - ignores them still uses a
random address in the 239 range regardless.
On your Cisco core - if your using that - make sure your ACL's and Rendezvous Point ACL for PIM permits the 239 range. As soon as this was done it's all working. > Will try that myself next month! "

  • I have to send messages through UDP multicast and unicast from same port. In Labview I tried that it throws error. I heard it is possible by means of Datagram (UDP unicast and multicast) Port Sharing. How can it be achieved in Labview?

I have to send UDP multicast and Unicast messages to a remote port from a single source/local port. I tried by opening UDP unicast and multicast in the same port and got the expected error. I tried by opening a unicast connection and sending unicast messages. After that when multicast messages has to send I closed unicast and opened multicast in the same port. This is not throwing any error. But my requirenment is to comminicate with another application in C ++ which recieves this data, throwing an error of lost connectivity and both the applications are not abled to communicate properly.
In the other application with C++ this is implemented using port sharing. So how port sharing can be implemented in labview so that I can send both multicast and unicast messages from the same port?
    Thanks in advance

UDP is a sessionless protocol, meaning that anyone listening on the specified port CAN receive the data. CAN because as you noted there is no guarantee in the protocol that it will be received. And if you send the data not to a specific address but a multicast address not only one computer can receive it but in fact every computer on the same subnet listening to that multicast address and depending on the TTL of the packet also computers in neighbouring subnets, although that last one is not a very reliable operation since routers can be configured to drop multicast packages anyhow despite of a different TTL saying otherwise.
Accordingly there is no real way to make sure that a receiving UDP port is not already in use, since you don't build up a connection. UDP is more or less analogous to shouting your messages through a megaphone, and anyone listening on the right frequency (port) can hear it. You do bind the sender socket to a specific port number but that makes little difference.

    that is right.
we fixed it.. we tried running multicast test and it failed

  • Changing the multicast Address and Port giving error

I am using Coherence 3.3.1 jar files (Coherence.jar and tangosol.jar) in my local application. But when I try to change the multicast Address and Port in tangosole-coherence.xml(in Coherence.jar) then it is giving this error -
"This member could not join the cluster because of an incompatibility between the cluster protocol used by this member and the one being used by the rest of the cluster. This is most likely caused by a Coherence version mismatch, or by mismatched protocol filters (e.g. compression, or encryption)"
If i am using unique IP and Port then how can it be in a Cluster as this error stating. Please reply ASAP.

    Hi,
There is a good chance that there is already the IP and port is being used by another cluster (which uses different versions of jars or configurations) and hence, when you are starting your cluster, throwing the error.
Can you double check if another cluster is already using it or not ?
    Thanks,
    Amit

  • Multicast and SCCM2012 and Hash error

Ok, so I've searched this time through articles and they all pertain to 2007 - When trying to deploy an OS, Multicast is turned on, but I get the dreaded hash error.  If I turn multicast off, It works fine... not a logical solution.  I have verified
with network that the switches all have multicast turned on.  I've deleted the image, re-added it and redeployed it countless times.  Still same issue.  The size of the image is 3.06 mb, so well under the 4mb issues that were in 2007.
I've also gone as far as recreating the image from scratch, and still no luck.
Any ideas? This is 2012 SCCM.
    Thanks!
