Mailto links open in Google Chrome

I use Safari as my main browser. When I tried to click on a link to email someone, Gmail opens in Google Chrome rather than Safari. Does anyone know how to correct this?

I assume you want the mail to be sent from the Mail application. In that case, select Mail > Preferences > General > Default email reader: Mail.

If you are reluctant to go down the route of stand-alone application wrappers, I think your best bet is probably a Greasemonkey script of some sort. You will need to install SIMBL followed by GreaseKit. And while not all Greasemonkey scripts will work with GreaseKit due to differences between FireFox and Safari's JavaScript engines, you'll probably be able to find a few that will do the job, e.g. Mailto Compose In Gmail.
It's not an ideal solution, but hopefully it should handle all mailto links originating from Safari.

Acrobat links missing in Google Chrome

For some reason, when I make links to "open a file" in Acrobat 9 Pro, these links do not show up when the file is opened with Google Chrome. The internal links to "go to page" work fine and show the little gloved hand. But when I run the mouse of the links to open files, the cursor does not change. I could not find any setting in Chrome that would affect this. Any ideas?

Google has a hidden command that is issued from the command like: about:plugins.
If you type it in, you will see that Adobe Acrobat can get automatically disabled and replaced with Google's own reader if there is a security risk or need of an update.

WebHelp does not open in Google Chrome

Mailto links open google (desired) but load in current tab, moving away from website, and cannot hit "back" button to return.

I have firefox set to open "mailto" links, which is desired. However, when clicking the link, the gmail compose window opens in the current tab/window, and therefore leaves the website. Most of the time, the "back" button is not active, so I cannot get back to the website. The back button issue does not happen 100% for some reason.
To further explain, this is a website I am creating, so I am not sure if the fault lies with my code or in the google mailto option in firefox. (Code shown below)

Mailto link opens Outlook when it is already open

When I click on the mailto link in the CHM file, it tries to open Outlook Express, even though I already have Outlook open. Is there something I can do to resolve this? Thanks for your time.

Seems I encountered this same situation a few years back. (scratches head and thinks)
I think I was able to overcome this as follows:
Use a HTML Help Shortcut control. Insert the mailto command in the shortcut.
Perhaps you don't wish to see a button the user clicks. In that case you may script the control. Just make it Hidden when you insert it.
Then you use the normal Hyperlink dialog to "click" the control.

Open UI - Google Chrome Issue - Menu Items jump

Hello,
We have upgraded to Open UI successfully. However we have observed an issue with google chrome only. Menu items are jumping when menu items clicked in applet.
Below are steps we followed for replication
1. Navigate to Account summary view by drilling down on any account hyperlink in account list view
2. Click the Menu button in the lowermost applet in the view
3. The menu opens way on the top
Please can you suggest a work-around/solution in this scenario?

Does it happen when the chrome browser is maximized?
Do you have any additional toolbars or extensions installed on chrome? If yes check if disabling/uninstalling them make any difference.

CRM7.0 EHP2 WebUI is not opened on Google Chrome

Hi All,
I have issue with SAP CRM 7.0 EHP2 WebUI application executing on Google Chrome browser.
When I open WebUI in Google Chrome, it is asking for User Id and Password.
After entering User Id, Password and clicking on Logon, system does not show anything. It shows like below screenshot.
This is issue is only on Google Chrome but not on IE.
Please help me with your inputs. What could be the problem for the issue?

User, what do you expect us to do?
You gave no information about the page beside that it's based on a template which we don't see or know.
You don't give us your jdev verison.
The error message you get is telling me that your page layout is not legal, so you can't expect a browser to work with it. That IE (which version we don't know) shows the page is pure luck.

Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.
Hope to find answer for my question as soon as possible as I like Firefox more than Google chrome and I need to use your website forever but if my problem still the same I will change my mind because I can't use 2 programs in my computer as it's old one.

PDFs not displaying images when opened in Google Chrome.

My PDFs are not displaying images when opened in Chrome. They do display in other browsers and when saved to the desktop. I have tested on multiple machines. "... a known Chrome issue." The resolution lies with Google for this - nothing you can do (other than disable the "in house" browser add-on and enable Adobe's (if you have Reader or Acrobat installed)).
A similar issue exists with other, contemporary, browser releases.
The "fix" is these software houses to deploy PDF viewer browser add-ons that actually comply with ISO 32000.
Perhaps their lazy approach reflects the attitude of "Hey, Adobe will get the hit not us."
Provide your users a feed-back mechanism; you'd be able to respond with the suggestion that they ping on the appropriate software houses to provide adequate software.

I want to open my email using firefox, but since installing Google Chrome, all email links are opened with it, and I don't have access to my firefox tool bars to email a page, etc.

All email are opened by Google Chrome since I installed it. I want to use Firefox with its toolbars for emailing pages, etc., and there seems to be no easy way to email a page using Chrome.
I tried uninstalling Chrome, but then could not open any email.

Dude, you need to calm down and take a break. I am not a code writer nor a website designer, but this worked very easily for me. I am a PC-er not a MAC user. It worked for me with no problem. There is nothing to actually download provided you have the free version of adobe flash on your machine to begin with.

In Ver 3 I had my mailto links using my Google Mail instead of Outlook. How do I set the same way in Ver 4 ?
I'm looking for the mailto app in Apps area and do not see it. That is how I did it in Ver 3.

So I had the same problem and expected it to change with Ios5 but it's still the same. Settings in my iPhone4 v5.0 shows my Mac.com asthe account but Mac.com address is STILL grayed out when sending mail. Can ONLY send from me.com (which i NEVER use) It's not that way on my iPad, just the VZ phone. Very annoying.
